2nd hematoma possible in opposite side of boob?

Question

I had a hematoma in my left breast in jan 2014, evacuated and new implant replaced. I'm 6 weeks post op and noticed my right side is swelling. Is it a possible hematoma in my right side now? Or swelling due to over compensating at work (hair stylist)

It would be unusual to have a hematoma six weeks after your breast augmentation unless you were in some some kind of accident.   This should be examined by your plastic surgeon.Dr ES

WIthout an exam it is difficult to say what is going on.  If the breast is much larger, more bruised than the opposite one, and painful then there is a high suspicion and you should see your surgeon.

A hematoma at 6 weeks would be incredibly unusual. When you bleed, as you probably experienced, the entire breast enlarges, you don't just get a focal hard area. The blood fill the entire implant pocket. I suspect swelling but your best bet is to let your surgeon examine you.

6 weeks after your surgery it is highly improbable that you have developed a hematoma although very rarely a blood vessel can break from massaging. More likely it is normal healing or the implants have not settled.
