I have had botox in my frontalis muscles 3x. Approximately 20 minutes after each time, my frontalis muscles are paralyzed. The prescribing information indicates effect takes 3+ days on average. I am of Basque origin, a population that has a higher than normal rate of pseudocholinesterase deficiency (PD). Could this be the reason even though botox mechanism of action is presynaptic and the literature that I found speaks to PD complications occurring w drugs that act @ the neuromuscular junction?

I am not aware of any cross reaction between the medications for a cold and botox. I am also not aware of the Botox being associated with a twitch, but know that some ophthalmologists will use Botox to treat twitches.
Botox is contraindicated in pregnancy due to lack of studies to prove that it is safe. When used for cosmetic purposes, only a minute amount is used and most of it stays in the target area, it is remote that any of it will reach a high enough concentration to harm the fetus.
