I've been thinking about lipo for about a year or so now. I work out regularly and eat well, but it just seems to take more and more effort to try to keep it off, and it seems to slowly be getting worse and the fat seems to be sticking to my waist & sides. I got an estimate from Southeastern Plastic Surgery (Dr. Kirbo), it was $4350 (Lipo Abs/Flanks $3300 + $450 anesthesia + $600 facility fee). I also got a consult from Dr. Rawlings at Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Center. That estimate was $5600 for the same procedure. Their anesthia cost was WAY higher, not sure why, also, they wanted to charge me $500 for 10 lipo massage appointments, even though dr said I could do it myself. However, it would still be $5100, which is $750 higher. I didn't go on cost alone, as Dr. Kirbo was recommended to me by a friend. I have my pre-op appt on 5/19/15. I'll add photos once they are taken. Updated on 23 May 2015: My surgery was originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd, then they changed it was Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015. Well, my pre-op was scheduled for this past Tuesday, May 19th, 2015, they called me on Monday, May 18th, to say they had an opening on Friday, May 22nd, and did I want it? Heck yes. So, I got my pre-op done and had my surgery. I took some pictures the morning before I went in, here they are. I will take some pics after I remove my compression garment, which won't be until Monday, May 24th. I can't even shower until then. Surgery went well, I think they said they took out 750 ml from the front, and 950ml from the sides/flanks. I pretty much just feel sore/bruised today. I'll continue to update this and I can't wait to see how it looks once the compression garment comes off on Monday.
