I had liposuction at Sono Bello St. Louis/Creve Couer on my entire midsection, including the side of the bra/back fat area & so far, I’m very happy with my experience. My surgery was only yesterday so, I won’t start seeing real results until my swelling & bruising is gone, but my experience at the office is worth the early review. I am very pleased with how my surgery went. Everyone at the Creve Couer office was great. The front desk staff & the nurses were very welcoming & put me at ease from the beginning. Dr. Martinez did my surgery & I highly recommend her. She’s so personable & friendly & she made me feel very comfortable. She was honest when I asked about the procedure & what to expect. Yes, you are awake during the procedure & yes, you do feel some of it. I was given meds for relaxation & a few antibiotics about 30 minutes before going into surgery. Lidocaine is injected into the areas that are to be worked on & I did feel those injections. If you’ve ever had a shot at the doctors office, that’s what you’ll feel. It’s a needle so, it is what it is. As far as the lipo itself, I felt some pressure from the action of the probing, but it was bearable. The feeling is more weird then anything else simply from being so aware of it happening. I just closed my eyes & relaxed which was easy to do because of the meds. (I was very groggy.) All in all, I was quite comfortable & felt no extreme pain. The procedure took about 2 hours & I was fine when getting up to get dressed to go into recovery while waiting for my friend to arrive to take me home. Once the lidocaine wore off later in the evening, I did need the prescribed oxycodone for the pain, but it put me to sleep & I slept through the night without any issues. Today, I’m having some slight pain, but I’m only taking Tylenol for that. Dr. Martinez called me this morning to check in on my recovery & told me most of the pain & discomfort should be gone in a few days. Sono Bello encourages at least walking for some activity after the surgery so, last night I did a light 15 minute ride on my Peloton & another ride this morning after the Tylenol kicked in & the activity felt fine. I most definitely recommend Sono Bello. The experience so far has been very good & the cost is also quite reasonable compared to going to a private practice surgeon. Updated on 8 Dec 2022: It’s been 8 weeks since my midsection lipo at Sono Bello & I’m beyond happy. I’ve lost a few pounds since the procedure (besides my midsection) & I feel so much healthier. The pain/discomfort during recovery actually lasted about 10-12 days. I had a lot of itching & some tenderness at the injection sites for a few weeks as well, but by week 5 or 6, I was completely free of any discomfort. Also, you will have some hardness & lumpiness while healing. Mine finally started to soften & visibly disappear this week & my stomach is looking great. My skin has snapped back & I’m looking forward to my first Venus treatment on Jan. 3rd. I’m confident that will make it even better. Keep in mind, everyone is different so, my recovery journey may be different from yours. If your recovery takes longer, be patient. Continue to wear the compression garment because it definitely helps. I ended up purchasing a few more from Amazon (not Isabella brand) & I really love wearing them. They’re so comfortable & my body looks so smooth in my clothing.
It’s been about a year since my procedure and I am still in love with the results! I still have a pretty decent scar, but to be honest I’ve done minimal to treat it. The staff was amazing. My few suggestions would be to ask TONS of questions during the sales pitch. (It has been some time since my procedure so things can change!) but in my experience I didn’t really know what I was in for until the consultation after I signed the paper work. The doctor was so professional, very clear on what to expect and willing to work around any swim suit etc he could! You ARE AWAKE DURING THE PROCEDURE and there was a lot of pain until the numbing medication kicked it. This procedure is definitely worth the results BUT if you have a low pain tolerance, or blood make your uncomfortable this may not the procedure for you. You will be in a bit of pain the first week or so, but I healed pretty quickly. I am so thankful I got this procedure done here!!! The last two pictures are about 9 months post op!
Where do I even begin. When I think of myself walking into the office for the first time and looking at myself now it’s two completely different people. I was not looking to have this surgery to make me look like a super model, just to be comfortable in my cloths and in my skin. I got that and so much more. Thanks Dr L I have probably talked to every person in the office. I wouldn’t have even gotten this done if it wasn’t for Stephanie talking me through it. I can’t begin to say thank you enough!!!! Their head nurse Amber is incredibly smart and knowledgeable, hands on, and stayed with me the entire process. Malinda , Casey, and Brittany I have spoken to many times, and they really light up office. The experience was a 10/10. I look In the mirror and I’m really happy with what I see. To the entire staff thank you for giving that to me. You all are amazing!!
My experience with Sonabello has been life changing. I’ve not only lost fat, inches, and lowered my blood pressure but have gained a new sense of self. Thanks Sonabello for changing my life! The amazing thing is how my body is healing on its own.
I have always been fascinated with the idea of cosmetic surgery. As most women story goes i was a brick house on the skinny side before kids. But my babies were worth the 90lbs weight gain than essure was different beast of its own. I have always been active therefore i had gain alot of muscle as a 5ft9 women it was normal for me to be in the 200s but i had an extra hip as my husband called it ( lol he says he can call it that now that it is gone). I was never able to get rid of the belly fat i tried it ALL and i mean all option and lipo was my last resort. I inquired sonobello and went may 19th for my consultation and i was scheduled for my surgery may 21st yes two days. I dont think i even had a chance to be nervous lol. Any who i put down 200 and went in the next day to neet the surgeon. Dr Shath he was cool he called my belly fat 3 footballs that hurt a little but the truth hurts given that was the reason i was there. So he infomed me that he couldn't do anything for my stretch marks but that wasn't my concern. He said that you will be a good candidate and took pics weight and measurement. Day of the nerves kick in but i went in they gave me my glass of wine meds and walked me to the bathroom and than to surgery. It wasn't bad but by far wasnt a tickel it hurt but you will live. The dr talked to me the whole time telling me you were all fat and its coming out easily asif it wants to come out. They removed 2500cc of fat from my upper and lower abs and waist with 1200cc of tumescent. Recovery was okay day 2 was by far the worst i was in so much pain but i managed to get out of bed and walk a little. By day 4 i was able to go to the track and walk a mile and half. I am now 3 weeks post op and must say im feel good i see the difference. I was away curious about sex i had sex day 6 post op but it wasn't that comfortable tried again day 12 better by day 16 i was great i big difference is i feel my husband ribs rub against my ribs lol. I still have swelling and it is uncomfortable to wear pants for a long period but all is well. Updated on 29 Jun 2016: I love my body the biggest difference is those footballs on my side i look so cute in clothes i have not lost weight but im 4 inches down at this point i have to put in the work to get it the way i want it but great investment.
