I decided to get a breast lift and liposuction due to losing 40kg which left my breast extremely saggy and deflated. I had attended three other consultations with well known surgeons around Melbourne and decided on Dr Richard Bloom. Out of all my consultations he seemed the most confident to achieve what I was looking for. I found him to be incredibly informative, and I felt comfortable around him. Initially I was yes implants and a lift in the same surgery, he advised me it would be better to get the lift first and once healed to have implants, that this would achieve a much better result. I am glad I took the advice because I love my results. I booked in surgery straight away after having my consultation. The process was easy to understand and well explained by his assistant. Surgery day came, and his team and the hospital staff kept me informed the entire time right up until I went under. The process from checking in to surgery was very quick! No waiting around which was awesome. I woke up some hours later and surprisingly I was in no pain! The only discomfort I felt was the garments, and only because they're were tight fitting and made it hard to manoeuvre. I stayed in recovery to see Dr Bloom before I discharged. There were no complications and I was sent home. I did not take pain killers and felt no pain during recovery. Slight twitches and sensations as healing went on but this is normal. I can't fault Dr Bloom in anyway, he has a special talent in correcting symmetry in the breast and I found him to be a pleasure to deal with. His staff at RE Plastic Surgery are always available for questions during recovery. My breast are now perky, full and very even! I was worried about odd looking nipples, but he did and incredible job!!!! I love my breasts so much. They fit nicer in clothing and bikinis and I don't have to tuck the skin in anymore! As for my liposuction, my midsection now has a more even silhouette and curves. I couldn't ask for a better result. I have suffered with chronic neck, back and shoulder pain due to F cup sized breasts for almost 20 years. When I finally made the decision to have a breast reduction I wanted a surgeon who would really listen to what I wanted from the procedure and be upfront with me about what was possible. I did my research and met with a few surgeons in Melbourne but I never felt 100% sure. A close friend of mine recommended Mr. Richard Bloom as she and her mother had both received breast reductions from him in the past and were very pleased with the results. I met with Richard and found him to be very clear and upfront about what could be done to achieve the end result I wanted. I felt confident at the end of our first consultation that I could trust him, and I also got the sense that he had very high standards for his own work and was quite the perfectionist. On 3rd February 2016 I had a bi-lateral breast reduction with free nipple grafts. In total I had 4.5 kilos of breast and fat tissue removed. I decided to have the free nipple grafts because I wanted to go down to a small C cup. Richard advised me that this was the best way to do so while also creating a nice breast shape. It’s now June 2016 and I cannot believe I allowed myself to suffer for so many years. There was some pain and discomfort in the early days after surgery but nothing compared to what I was putting up with previously. Let me be very clear, I was not expecting to have amazing breasts after surgery, I just didn’t wanted them in the way of me living my life anymore. Not only did Richard give me exactly what I asked for, his skill and ability far exceeded my expectations. He shaped my breasts really well, you would never know that I’d had a free nipple graft and soon, as the scars fade no one will ever know I had surgery at all. In all my interactions with Richard and the staff at ARC Plastic Surgery I have found everyone to be highly professional and friendly. Today I am more physically confident than I have ever been in my adult life, I would not go back for anything. I have recently had a breast augmentation with Mr Richard Bloom and I am so happy with how everything went. I have been wanting a breast augmentation for 3 years and being a student I found it hard to save up enough money. Throughout the 3 years I was able to research surgeons and go for consultations while I was saving up my money. I didn’t know of anyone who had a breast augmentation and wasn’t sure of what surgeon to go with, usually you hear about surgeons from word of mouth but in my case I had to do a lot of researching and go by instinct and reviews. Being me I was always so sceptical of what I read and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and wanted to trust my surgeon as my wellbeing and health was in their hands. I then came across Mr Richard Bloom on Real Self and was amazed by his 5 star ratings and overall reviews. He also had a breast augmentation special which I was thrilled about as other surgeons were charging over $14,000 which I could not afford. He also offered a free initial consult for cosmetic procedures so I wasn’t forking out even more money for a consultation. After reading about Mr Richard Bloom I rang arc plastic surgery straight away to book in a consultation with him. As I arrived at the new ARC building for my consultation I was greeted by friendly staff and lovely receptionists, it wasn’t long after that I met the man himself Mr Richard Bloom. Mr Bloom to me was the nicest surgeon I met and I just knew then and there that I wanted him to do my operation and not the previous surgeons I had seen. He immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease, he let me ask as many questions as I needed and he answered them all confidently. I didn’t feel rushed or silly for asking him all my questions he was just so nice and was happy to listen. He was then able to give me his personal opinion about what size I should go and made sure the size matched my figure. After I had my photos taken and discussed sizes Mr Bloom showed me on the computer a 3D image of what I would look like with implants in and made sure I understood everything before I went ahead with the procedure. I found him very professional and informative. I then met Mr Blooms secretary Kirsty-Lee she was so friendly and very helpful. She was able to tell me what days were available for my surgery, booked all my consultations with Mr Bloom, answered all my queries over the phone and emailed me quotes for the operation straight away. When it came to the day of my operation I was so nervous. I arrived at Linley Clinic and was shown my own private waiting room where I waited with my mum before I went through. It had magazines and a TV to take my mind of things. A nurse then came in and gave me a robe to put on and asked me a few questions, shortly after the anesthetist came in and introduced himself then Mr Bloom came in to explain what was going to happen and calmed me down with his infectious smile and said he would take good care of me. It was then time to go through. I said good bye to my small boobs and hello to my big boobs shortly after. I was then wheeled to my private room to recover, Mr Bloom would then come through to check on me every now and then. Everyone at Linley Clinic was so caring and made sure I was comfortable and well. It has now been 2 weeks since my operation and I feel great I am not in any pain at all and my scar is so small you won’t even be able to see it when it heals. Mr Bloom also does regular follow up appointments, I have recently had a follow up appointment and I will go back at the end of the year for another one. The size of the implants fit my body perfectly and they look natural which is what I wanted, I went for a 375cc high profile silicone implant inserted in front of the muscle. I have received many complements on how good my new boobs look and I feel so much more confident, summer 2015 here I come! I would definitely recommend Mr Bloom to anyone looking at getting a breast augmentation he did such a fantastic job.

Do NOTattend this surgery. Unfortunately I attended Re Plastic Surgery on the recommendation of a friend. I saw a dermal clinician who gave some good microdermabrasian and facial treatments. Unfortunately she recommended Resurfix treatment to me. This is a very expensive and uncomfortable process - some $1300 per time. I did it once and my face has been scarred and disfigured the skin under my mouth/on my chin. It is clearly visible to everyone who knows me and who have asked what has happened to my chin. I am in the public eye frequently and have requested the surgery to rectify this immediately to no avail. I have seen both surgeons and other dermal clinicians who have all stated that the Resurfix process should not have been administered to someone with my type of skin. They confirm that the process has literally melted away the dermis and epidermis on that part of my chin. Furthermore, it is possible to gradually rebuild the epidermis and dermis through a series of collagen induction treatments though this will never fully heal the damage done. The staff member has offered to rectify the damage on numerous occasions in writing and verbally and said she will do whatever it takes to fix it. However at this point the surgery has not offered to refund my payment for this treatment nor to cover the costs to resolve this damage. Do NOTattend this surgery.

Ladies, Gentleman & any aliens looking for updates on plastic surgery...hi! This is going to be a quick update (hopefully quick as I do sometimes go off on tangents. The word 'tangents' always makes me think of tangerines, yum). Anyway... I've had two nights of no sleep. Woo. It's okay though as I'll catch up soon, but I just can't sleep when breathing through my mouth alone, it ends up closing within seconds of me falling asleep. I've been in quite a bit of pain: it's mostly a burning sensation inside my nose and my teeth ache. I wish I could hug my nose right now and give it some TLC, it's been beaten up bad, poor nosey thing. My swelling around my eyes has been worse today, slightly subsiding now as I'm constantly icing it (haha, not with icing sugar). I've seen people mention arnica cream...is it worth me getting some tomorrow to decrease the swelling or does it just relieve the soreness of swollen skin? Can anyone recommend anything else for swelling? If you can let me know, that'll be really...SWELL! As I type this I feel myself dozing off, so I shall leave it here and sign off with a joke I'll make up on the spot... How many plants does it take to make a big one?
