I had a breast augmentation with implant exchange done recently by Dr. Schaffner and am very happy with the results. At each appointment leading up to the surgery, Dr. Schaffner carefully listened to my goals and concerns in order to achieve the best possible outcome. After having done a breast augmentation a number of years ago with a different surgeon that resulted in fake, asymmetrical looking breasts, I had anxiety about going through surgery again. Dr. Schaffner explained the errors in the previous surgeon's technique that resulted in my prior poor outcome and the steps he would take to address my concerns during the corrective surgery. I consulted Dr Schaffner because I developed noticeable moon-sliver shaped bags under my eyes. The dermatologist who had previously injected fillers under my eyes determined that the bags were naturally occurring festoons and recommended a complex and painful laser treatment to improve their appearance.

I am very happy I consulted Dr. Schaffner. He immediately identified the cause of the bags to be the previous doctor’s injections of too much filler under the eyes. Bags caused by fillers appear lower than naturally occurring festoons and are often accompanied by a green tint to the skin (the Tyndall effect), which I also had.

To remove the bags, all that was needed was an injection of Hyaluronidase, to dissolve (most of) the fillers. It was administered by Dr Schaffner in a short visit and am very satisfied with the result.

I also very much appreciate Dr. Schaffner’s dedication. Although this was a very minor procedure, he invested time in reviewing emails with photos and information about my filler history and in talking with me several times on the phone.

I will definitely return to Dr. Schaffner when I need more cosmetic work done.
