Obesity Control Center

I went to OCC December of 2021 for a gastric sleeve. I chose them due to their accreditations and low complication rate. I understand that going to Mexico for surgery sounds like a bad idea, but I spent 2 years researching and decided on OCC.

I am a medical professional as well and have cared for patients with complications of bariatric surgery. So I have seen poor outcomes firsthand.

My experience was amazing. The facility was clean, well staffed, Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez were courteous and professional. They have a physician staffed at all times and are immediately available if you need them.

I have lost 145lbs. I am healthier than I have ever been and am grateful to OCC for giving me my life back!

Recently had surgery here and could not be more impressed by the whole process. Every single person I came in contact with was amazing. It is a well oiled machine. Everything went super smoothly and I cannot say enough about the quality of care I received. Do your research and you will see BY FAR this place is the best!!!

OCC has completely transformed my life in just a matter of months. From the initial contact through to the procedure and follow up I have nothing but great things to say about them. Dr. Ortiz is an incredible surgeon and human being and I will forever be indebted to him and his team for helping me change my life. Choosing to go to OCC and get VSG surgery changed my life. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean, the doctors are extremely professional, and the whole experience was amazing. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have never experienced such amazing medical care. From the minute you sign up you are put on a nutrition plan and they keep in contact with you weekly to track progress and make sure that you are on track. They put patient safety above money in every way. They set you up for success before you even get there. Dr. Ortiz is so knowledgeable and takes time with every patient to settle any nerves they may have. The center is AMAZING way better than any center I have seen in the U.S. I would recommend him and his center to anyone who is interested in weight loss surgery.

I have nothing but great and wonderful things to say about Dr. Ortiz and the entire Obesity Control Center staff!! I thank them for changing my life! The whole process was so easy. I called them up and within 3 weeks I was on the table starting my new life. The hotel they put us in was nice, the clinic was very clean and everyone servicing us from the driver to the room service attendant gave exceptional service.

Things are still great. I feel great! So much more energy and fully enjoying life! Down to a size 6 from a 12!! From 238 pre op diet, 218 day of surgery and now 145. Now it's time to move on to plastics.

My body is still making changes and I'm completely loving all of it except for the saggy skin. I've been researching plastics for a while now and 2020 is the year. Just haven't selected the dr yet. Anywho here are some updated pics from 2020. Down to 130lbs! 100lbs gone forever.
Side note... I went and got veneers done in October in Cali, Colombia.

Update... sleeved 10/25/2018
So Im coming up on my 3 yrs soon and I've been holding steady at 135 size 3 for the last 2 years. Plastics are still on my lets go diva list. I think I found the one. Back to Tijuana I go! Here's so updated pics

Still loving the new me everyday! The weight is staying off and I've had no complications. I did have to have my gallbladder removed last June but besides that and the normal acid reflux. All is great!

Happy 4 year sleeversary to me!!!!! As a gift to celebrate this milestone on my journey, I just took a trip to Cartagena and put down my deposit for my body lift!!!! Premium Care Doll coming soon!! 4/25/23

The best thing I have ever done!!!!! Not a moment of down time, no issues. We walked for 3 hours the day after surgery all over town. Marriott was great home base, medical transportation was perfect, border crossing uneventful with only 4 people in entire place (not using the same crossing as all the uprising is at now). I only had 50 lbs to lose and have lost 40 of them in first 3 months! I could not be more thrilled at how I feel. Blood pressure, Cholesterol and all vitamins are in excellent range - no meds every in my life again!

BEST decision I ever made for myself.

Great care before, during and after.

Felt safe in Tijuana as well.

Hotel was also really good.

You CAN NOT go wrong with OCC!
