She also worked out a deal for me especially after finding out that to get my desired results, I also needed my chin done - I had budgeted only for the jaw but she worked out a deal for me that was truly amazing. She even threw in Botox in my masseters for free. The surgeon Dr Kwon Byeong Yun was clearly very experienced and professional and I was after a conservative but natural change and brought along reference photos of my mother (as was advised by Iris) and he understood what I wanted right away. The imaging and graphs were clearly top of the line and even the consultation room was like a mini hotel room, very luxurious and cozy. I felt like I was in safe hands all the way. The actual day of the surgery was smooth, I felt no fear, I did have to go back into the operation room a second time due to a haematoma forming at the right jaw but that was taken care of swiftly and resolved itself. Over the next day, the nurses and Marin checked in on me frequently and the nurses, despite having limited english, were so kind and sweet. At any time, I can call on them for help. My facial bandages were tight but the pain was manageable and almost nothing compared to the tooth implant removal in Australia 3 weeks prior. The day after my surgery, I was up and walking and eating soft foods (I literally went back to normal food a day after, just chewing slower but it was doable) and doing everything else - sightseeing, travelling, even playing poker in the casino (I tripled up and made a decent profit, on literally my first day post surgery. I got weird looks with my head bandage, but the surgery did not detract from my mental acuity in any way). I wouldn't say I pushed myself too hard, as I was always healing on schedule or ahead of the curve - the only time I felt pain was when I stupidly tried to tear open a plastic packet on day 5 and got a bit of temporary nerve pain, which went away quickly. But I wasn't meant to do that, so that was on me. Falling asleep was no issue either. Marin and Lina (another coordinator) then bought prescription meds for me as I could not leave my bed and I am so appreciative. The next few days, I came back for 2 rounds in the oxygen chamber and 3 rounds of the Healite Laser and 1 shampooing session and one more set of CT scans. Everything was done to such a high standard, everything so clean and luxurious - I knew I would come back. When I saw my new CT scans, I almost cried with joy because my jaw was now perfectly balanced and in harmony with the rest of my face - the before had a flared base and was simply far too much and disrupted facial harmony. It looked like I had always been born with this new jaw, very natural looking. Around this stage, my surgeon checked up on me again, and I was healing nicely.
