I was referred to Dr. Kimberly by a friend who had a breast augmentation. The staff was very polite as was Dr Kimberly herself. The booking process was very simple and straight to the point. What I liked most about Dr. Kimberly was she wasn't one of those doctors that pushed you to get work done, she actually told me i didn't need to get lipo, I just needed to diet and exercise, but like most of us that gut just doesn't go away no matter how much you diet. Now for my experience, it was very expensive compared to other doctors however, I still spent the money because i figured I would be paying that amount if i traveled to Miami (that was where i was going to go before I found her). I also didn’t like that the anesthesia was charged separately and I was told I would be charged one price going in but was charged double without my knowledge. When I seen the charge on my card I had to call and ask why I was charge so much. I was told they had to flip me so my surgery took longer than anticipated. Anyhow, my first red flag was in the office (which is very nice and clean) there was an ipad with a slideshow of all DR Kimberly's work. There were no pictures of her lipo patients just nose jobs, breast augmentations , face lifts, and tummy tucks.I will admit I was excited and I jumped the gun without fully doing my research, the only research i did was looking her up on this site and she had great reviews and of course my friend who got her breast done. One of the things I regret is not looking for comments on this site from her lipo patients . After booking my appointment and paying the $1000 non-refundable down payment I asked Dr Kimberly if she had any before and after lipo photos of other Patients (Backwards, I know, I should have asked this when I first went in) she told me she had to dig them up ( could have been a figure of speech but in my eyes i looked at it as if she didn't have many).I waited a few days to see if she would email me with the photos but still nothing. I emailed her assistant and asked if she could send me before and after lipo photos. I got the photos a few days later and i immediately noticed there wasn't much of a difference in the patient’s before and after photos but at this point i felt like it was too late and didnt want to lose my $1000 deposit (I now regret it).Just to sum this review up I am not happy with my results. I wanted what we call a "snatched waistline" Like the Instagram models, I knew it wouldn't be as dramatic as theirs but i wanted to see more of a difference. After 6 months I lost 3in in my waist. I could have went on a diet and got the results I have. I still have a pudge at the bottom of my stomach, and it’s uneven. I thought after this surgery I wouldn't have to suck in any more but i still do!Also the last thing I didn't like about this office was if I didn't have a friend who got lipo before I wouldn't have known half the things she told me because I was not told. I wasn't told to keep my garment on 24/7 till my follow up appointment which was about two weeks after (the garment that comes with the surgery is a cheap standard surgical garment that you get from the hospital after having a baby).I wasn't told to get any massages after my surgery to flush the liquid out, in fact I asked Dr Kimberly if I should get them and she told me it was a waste of money but I got them anyway and found that it speeded my recovery time. I also wasn't told to wear an ab board. To sum up the review I am not happy with my results, I even lost 10 lbs to see if that would help and it didn’t. I will be going again but this time will go to Miami and get the results I'm looking for.
I feel like I was taking advantage of by the lack of knowledge of their staff, and the greediness of the doctor in general. I have called at least 20 times and no one will call me back.... I have also sent them emails and texts, ...I paid in full for my surgery and then when I got there was informed that they could not do my surgery since I did not have a mammogram although no one on their staff told me I needed to have one performed ....the day before my surgery One of the staff called me to ask me if I had a mammogram, and I told her no and that no one had talked to me about that and she decided that it would be OK and everything would be fine and they would do my surgery.... so i drove five hours there the next morning ...paid for a hotel took off work, and had my boyfriend there, he took off work as well to help me. Dr. kimberly henery said she would do the surgery if I signed a waiver, but I paid good money and I did not think I should be signing a waiver to have surgery when I did everything I was told to do . I did my bloodwork and I would've had a mammogram, but for some reason they forgot to tell me about it...... in between going to get my mammogram. My boyfriend was diagnosed with kidney cancer and I had to help him and had to postpone my surgery. he was down for six months as he had to have his whole left kidney removed. I had to do all the lifting around the house and drive him to all his appointments, and there was a lot of them! he's still having complications, and we are trying to figure it out ....I explained this to the doctor and the staff, but they did not bat an eyelash to care. It's all about money !!! I called so many times to get my money back or to figure out a plan and no one would call me back. I do not recommend going there!the only reason I got some of my money back is one of my credit cards refunded it back, after i filed a complaint ....but the other credit card did not, they said I waited too long. so I lost money and paid for something that I did not receive. obviously the most important thing was to take care of my boyfriend and get him back into good health. She did my first surgery, but that was kind of a disaster as well, but living up in the country, in the middle of nowhere, I didn't really know who else to go to, so I just went back to what I knew. She did a good job on my breast augmentation... but honestly, the whole thing was really unprofessional, and I should've known from that not to go back. dr. kimberly Henry would not see me 15 years ago during my first visit until I paid.....so I forked over the cash and waited... waited-waited... but I got forgotten in the office and almost locked in overnight. I finally walked out of the room and found all the lights off and only a receptionist left in the building. I never did get to talk to the doctor before the surgery ...day of surgery I showed up with no bloodwork or anything because no one had told me nothing since I got no initial visit with the doctor. I feel disappointed and disrespected by this office. I am going to research a more professional facility that cares about their clients and isn't only obsessed with cash!!!! ....in the end obviously the refunds are decided by the doctor, and she would rather keep my money, then do the right thing!! like I said, I was there the day for surgery.... their staff told me the day before I did not need the mammogram. The doctor is the one that canceled my scheduled surgery and then refused to give me my money back, or even come up with a plan for me to be reimbursed. Do not use this facility or this doctor. !!!!! I recommend using an American Express card or CareCredit because those credit lines will get you your money back..... but if you pay in cash , check or Visa / MasterCard, and have the problem, I had ....you will not get your money back from them and certainly not from the doctor
Dr. Henry is one of the doctors I went to get a consultation from when I decided I want to get breast implants. I was ecstatic as Dr. Kimberly had beautiful results on her website and this was my first consultation for this procedure. Her results on her website were also the best out of any of the other surgeons I researched. I made the appointment about 3 weeks out. Less than 24 hours before my appointment they ask to move me to a later slot as they had "double booked" me. Kind of weird, but I accepted a later time slot. The day of the call me to show up later, which I agree to again. I showed up on time, they told me she was stuck in traffic, there was another patient in the waiting room. She comes in 30 minutes late into her office, sees the next patient who then leaves after about 5 minutes, and then I had to tell the receptionist I had been wrong for almost 45 minutes and was going to leave. The receptionist finally puts me in a room and Dr. Henry finally sees me and comes in with an attitude, I'm assuming upset I complained about the wait time. The first words out of her mouth were "well what do you want?" I ask her what she means... "What do you want done?" The rest of the consult was bizarre to say the least and continued with this tone . She offered up no information without me asking questions and answered indifferently. When I asked saline or silicone she said it didn't matter. When I asked about incisions, she said it was up to me. I ask how big I could go she said she could do anything. She didn't talk unless I spoke to her and had no insight or suggestions for the results I wanted. Words can't describe how awkward, hostile, and unprofessional this consultation was. They hand me a quote that excluded anesthesia fees and sent me on my way. It's safe to say I did not go through a procedure with this woman because of her unprofessional and uninterested attitude. This encounter alone almost turned me off to seeing any other doctors. I say don't bother going in for a consultation if you want any answers for your potential procedure. Nothing beneficial to be gained from a consultation here.... except the free bottled water in the waiting room.
