I can't believe it I'm 6 days post op. My story starts with Ken. Every time I called Ken was there for me. With his knowledge and his experience and his extreme pacience. I dug all avenues, online reviews and options, procedures in and around NYC from extraction, to All on 4, dentures and implants. They all said 2-3 weeks without any teeth at all, and many many visits for healing & rebuild my mouth. I did see some dentist can offer as low as 8 day for extractions the implants all said temporary teeth and again many visits. Then somehow with all my research, I found Dr. Golpo and experience for so many years. I then called called and spoke to Ken, many times. He assured me that the day they do extractions and Sametime they put in implants. The very next day I would go home with my permanent teeth. All I kept hearing was Thursday extraction Fri permanent teeth, and I would be able to eat a rib steak and a crispy apple. I did think it would tak a week. But I ate my first pastrami sandwich and it didn't irritate my gums at all Wow! And the very next Sunday I ate two grilled Franks, and burger and "Corn on the cob" I am six days later and feeling unbelievable. I do not have to cover my mouth so no one can see all my missing teeth. I would like to thank the whole office where they showed me around and explaining procedures and milling proccess. Thanks Ken, Ashley, Lauren, Kathy, José, Dr. Kat and Lonnie. They were all so very nice before and even after procedure was done. Great people great experience. Thanks to everyone at Golpa Dental! Lease back to life. Jerry B
Wonderful. I am thrilled with my teeth. This was the best thing I ever did for myself. The whole staff was wonderful. I told them what I wanted and they totally delivered. They helped me decide on the perfect shade. I had been so nervous beforehand and it turned out I had nothing to worry about. Not even pain. Amazing. And they took care of me the whole time. I wholly recommend these wonderful folks.
The strongest muscle based on its weight is the masseter. With all muscles of the jaw working together it can close the teeth with a force as great as 55 pounds (25 kilograms) on the incisors or 200 pounds (90.7 kilograms) on the molars.
It is possible that a screw has worked itself loose, you should have it checked ASAP
Conscious is a combination of medicines to help you relax (a sedative) and to block pain (an anesthetic) during a medical or dental procedure. You will remain in a “twilight” state, and can respond to commands, but remember little of the procedure. Conscious sedation lets you feel no pain, recover quickly, and return to your everyday activities soon after your procedure.
Levels of discomfort vary but typically are minimal. There may be some swelling and discomfort a few days after your surgery. Swelling is a normal response in the healing process. Once swelling occurs it takes 7-10 days to subside. You should have implant checked ASAP
Depending on your bone/tissue level, the abutments that hold the prostheses in your mouth will be noticeable if you pull your lip up. The purpose of having visible abutments is for optimal hygiene purposes. You MUST be able to pass the bridge floss underneath the prosthetic in order to keep plaque and tartar from building up around your abutments and on the underside of the bridge.
