I? was always a full 34C and I? loved my breasts. They were perfectly shaped, had volume and were proportionate to my frame. However, after a year of breastfeeding and losing weight my once full breasts are now like half filled sand bags flapping in the wind! I? know you breastfeeding mamas out there understand. After doing months of research and meeting with two ps in the Chicago area I decided to go with Dr Peter Geldner of the Geldner Center. The consultation was professional and thorough. He addressed all of my questions and didn’t downplay any of the risks involved with the surgery. I? opted for the 450cc inspira full, larger than I? anticipated, but I loved the way the sizers look on my frame. The inspira full is supposed to be good for people who have lost a lot of volume (upper pole?). At my preop appointment Dr Geldner took his time, addressed my concerns, reviewed all of my meds and I tried on the sizers again. I’m happy with my choice. My surgery is scheduled for 11/21 - less than 2 weeks! I’ve attached the 3D vectra Imaging so you can see my before and after. I? hope this review helps others as much as this app has helped me! Updated on 17 Nov 2017: I’m 4 days out from my surgery and I’m beginning to get anxious. I? feel confident in my doctor - his reviews are outstanding and he comes highly recommended from a friend who has a career in the plastic surgery industry. I? have researched the risks and understand the potential for infection and implications. I? know that resting and taking care of my implants will help to prevent complications after the surgery. I? also am confident in my implant choice - Natrelle Allergan Inspira full 450cc - these have received outstanding reviews and achieve the most natural look even with a high profile. I? am, however, nervous about the pain. I? read one woman’s review who equated recovery with childbirth!!! Please tell me this is not true...!!!!! I? am also anxious about not being able to workout. I’m a Fitness competitor and lift 5-6 days a week. How have other athletes handled the down time? How soon after did you start with light weights? I? fear I? will lose all of my gains, especially in my legs and glutes. I? am actually looking forward to losing some size and muscle in my upper body. As of can see from the pictures. I? have a very athletic build especially if my upper body. Updated on 20 Nov 2017: Getting nervous and excited about my BA for tomorrow! Can’t wait to see the outcome! Here are a few pics of my before. Updated on 21 Nov 2017: Surgery went smoothly, Had a few bumps with Viso Vagel (drop in pulse and blood pressure) due to nausea, but everything went well. The surgery center where Dr Geldner does his procedures was top notch and staff were excellent. Pain was at about a 6, definitely started peaking after 4 hours so just took my 2nd round of pain meds and muscle Relaxer. Also took stool softener. Definitely don’t want to try to be a hero and not take the meds. My goal is to stay ahead of pain and keep cortisol levels down. More later... Updated on 22 Nov 2017: On my way to post op appointment for the big reveal! Pain has been tolerable. I would highly recommend a Morphin pump in addition to pain pills. Doctor also cleared me to have edible marijuana to stave off nausea. Definitely limited mobility however. Even slightest movement of arms causes extreme pain. More updates to come. Updated on 22 Nov 2017: Post op appointment went well. I did make the mistake of tending my shoulders so the implants have shifted slightly up. Dr put a tension wrap around my heat to bring them back down. Updated on 23 Nov 2017: Day 3 post op and pain level has increased to 7/10. I was alert sleep though. I had to take off the tension band, it was killing me. I think my Morphin pump might be empty. More later... Updated on 24 Nov 2017: I’m off the pain meds now and can tolerate the discomfort. However, am dealing with stomach bloating and constipation, which has caused severe cramping. Pics to come later. Updated on 25 Nov 2017: Full disclosure-i didn’t post any pictures of my “after” because they looked so deformed and my stomach is so bloated from the surgery and the pain meds. I actually only looked at my new friends twice in 3 days! After reading more about it and receiving a lot of reassurance from a friend, I realize that all of this is completely normal. The breasts will “drop” and take on a more natural state. And the 6 month pregnant belly is also starting to go down. So really since surgery I’ve been blissfully high on pain meds and avoiding the mirror as much as possible. For those of you who suffer from irregularity as I do, I would strongly recommend taking stool softener and having laxatives and any other kinds of OTC remedies on hand. Prolonged constipation after surgery and as a result of narcotics is normal, but also dangerous as it can lead to impacting. I was very fearful of this, as it has happened to me once before, so I took all precautions necessary. Updated on 27 Nov 2017: I’ve been off of pain meds for 4 days now and I feel like my body is slowly returning back to normal. The bloating has honestly been the worst part of this recovery. I went into surgery with nice lean toned abs and came out with a huge bloated stomach that hasn’t gone away. I know it’s normal after surgery plus with all of the narcotics, but still it has been unsettling.. pain comes and goes, if I push too much out running errands I definitely feel exhausted and in pain when I get home. My breasts are getting better slowly. They still look boxy and are rising high, but I understand that this process takes time. Anyways here are some pics from yesterday. Updated on 28 Nov 2017: Morphin bloat is finally starting to go away although I’m still a little puffy. Breasts have started to drop nicely! I’m happy with the results although at first I feared that they were too big for my frame. I’m now getting used to the size. I have my week post-op appointment tomorrow. I have to wear the tension band across my chest to push the implants down. This is very painful! Some pics for progress update. Updated on 2 Dec 2017: Bloating has mostly subsided and am ale to workout lightly on legs and glutes. No upper body yet taking it really easy on the upper body. Updated on 4 Dec 2017: Quick update-nearly 2 week’s post op and my body is returning back to normal. I’m able to do light exercise and make sure to ice after to reduce any potential for swelling. The one thing that is bothering me is that there is a slight indentation on the left side of my left breast. This breast is still riding high. I’m hoping that this goes away as it continues to drop. See my doc next week for a follow up! Updated on 6 Dec 2017: Quick update! Boobs are looking more natural everyday! I’m able to work out Lower body and very light upper body. I ice everyday and wear my band to push the implants down. I think the size is perfect for my body. I absolutely love them! Can’t wait to go bra shopping! Updated on 13 Jan 2018: I am absolutely in love with my new boobs. I look better, feel better and my clothes fit me better than ever. I can only recommend Dr. Geldner and his staff! Amazing results and amazing staff.
