A: We advise all our patients to wear their compression garments for at least four to six months with high pressure. Better results are given if it is worn 24 hours a day for the first month. After the first month patient can remove their garment at night. 

A: That is a very good question. This can vary from one person to another. If your lips are very thin, you might need more than one syringe. If your lips are mid sized or fuller you might even need less than one. The best thing to do is to get evaluated in person. In my experience usually patients need about one to two syringes to add more volume to the lips. 

A: We usually recommend lymphatic massages or post surgical massages to all our patients. Massages have to be given three times a week, every week for at least a month. It is very normal to have swelling and inflammation at the beginning, this can last up to four to six months. The best advice I can give you is to show up in person at your doctors clinic and follow up with him/her. He/she will let you know if the swelling is normal or if you are going to need additional treatment. 

A: There are many options to choose from when it comes to liposuction. You have smart lipo, vaser lipo, radio frequency liposuction, water assisted lipo, and the list goes on. What patients need to understand is that the result from liposuction is not due to the device that is used to melt or remove the fat. Results are obtained depending on the technique and experience of the doctor. All those are instruments that help to facilitate remove the fat but at the end, it is the hands of the surgeon that makes the difference in the liposuction result. 

A: Different doctors evaluate the areas for liposuction in different ways. In our practice we consider the liposuction per areas. For example in average, the abdomen is four areas, the back is six areas, the waist is two areas, the arms are two areas and it goes on. In general the price in our practice is more per areas than per the amount of fat that is removed. In the state of Florida we have a restriction where we can only remove four liters of fat.
