I had my IPL done by Stephanie at Esana MedSpa, I’ve had IPL done at other locations with poor results. If you want to get the best results then Esana is your place. Stephanie is knowledgable and friendly, she makes the procedure go by quickly (thank god!). I try to get IPL done once a year but it’s been a year in a half since my last treatment, I can tell my sunspots are much Worse this time around.
Dr. Pan is amazing. Her office staff are lovely. The surgery was quick. Pain management is fantastic. My procedure has had a complication, (hematoma in upper abdomen/lower chest) and yet she still has me feeling comfortable and confident that my end result will be great. I will continue to post photos as I heal. Updated on 6 Jul 2018: Initially I was reassured by my doctor and husband that my results would be great once my hematoma resolved in a week or two. But it's been 10 days now, and every time I make progress in the size of the hematoma it always grows back. My husband thinks maybe the rest of the swelling is going down so it just looks bigger. But I don't know. The skin in the center line is also strange looking to me. I'm feeling defeated and depressed at this point. Updated on 10 Jul 2018: After a trip to the hospital for a CAT scan, it was determined my bleed and hematoma will resolve themselves. The hematoma was 10x10x2 on Saturday. Today, Tuesday, I met with Dr Pan and the hematoma had finally liquefied. It was down to 10x8x1.5 and we were able to drain a bit more by massaging and manually pulling along the drain tube. I start warm compresses, massage and manual drainage today at home, with another appointment on Monday. Hoping it will be even smaller. In the meantime, I'm doing very little physical activity to be on the safe side. For pain management, Lidocaine patches were added to place on the hematoma and swollen areas. They've helped a lot. My incision looks great, from what I can tell and have been told. The right side is much worse off than the rest, and I wondering if that is from always twisting to the right to get out of bed and chairs, or possibly from the drain being there. Regardless, I feel very relieved. Here are some photos of my incision at 11/12 days post op. Updated on 20 Jul 2018: Since my last update, my hematoma cleared, and I got to take the drain out...but I still had a bulge in my upper abdomen. It was determined I had an intramuscular hematoma as well, which is blood inside the muscle rather than just under the skin. I'm being monitored weekly, and it's just a waiting game at this point. Low activity, riding out the pain, and hoping my body does its job and reabsorbs the blood inside the muscle. Here are some photos from this week. I'm already seeing the shape even through the bent posture and swelling, and loving it! My breasts have dropped with pregnancies, and are smaller by the day as well... That's next on my list. Updated on 4 Aug 2018: Not much has changed since my last update. My intramuscular hematoma is about the same size, the only improvement is that I only have pain when it's touched or if I strain the area, so I'm off medication. However, I still can't stand up straight when I walk because of it, and that is really destroying my lower back. I have some areas along the incision that are still puckered, but all in all I'm happy with how it's healing. I'm very swollen, even if you can't tell. My breasts have decided to completely disappear! So that will be something to address next year... Updated on 7 Sep 2018: I'm 10.5 weeks post op, and I'm experiencing a lot of painful sensitivity. I'm on a new medication for that. My upper abdomen still has a very thin layer of hematoma, and the muscles there are thought to be "inflamed". So, the upper abs bulge with inflammation, the middle abs are flatter, and the lower abs bulge again with swelling. I look like there's an invisible belt wrapped around my midsection. I haven't been able to get a definitive answer on how long the inflammation will last, or whether or not my results will still be good, but I was reassured there is no separation of the muscle anywhere. At this point, only time will tell, but I'm disheartened. Updated on 23 Sep 2018: The past couple of weeks have been very progressive. I met with my surgeon yesterday and she verified that the post op complications I had are now cleared, and delayed my healing. I'm just now where I should have been months ago. I can finally start walking and lifting heavier things. Hopefully increasing my activity will just continue to improve my results! Eventually I will be able to to upper ab exercises which will retract those in, they are still protruding at the moment (as you can see.) Overall I'm feeling pretty good! Updated on 14 Dec 2018: It’s been a few more months since I had my surgery, I’m almost 6 months post op now and finally feeling good! My upper abs have a ways to go with rebuilding muscle and tightening up, but my shape is awesome! My scar is getting lighter, but more raised in the side I had the drain in for my hematoma. Overall I am happy! Updated on 28 May 2021: I love my results and highly recommend Dr. Pan. She listened to my concerns and worked with me to get me the results I want. My next step will be exploring options to reduce my scar, which didn’t heal as well as it would have without the prolonged drain due to complications. Overall happy with my body!
Placed an initial call to schedule a consultation for a Mommy Makeover. The receptionist was not very warm and friendly at all. She said Dr. Pan is not available until the end of July for a consultation. I said nothing sooner and she gave me a flat out NO. Great customer service would have been "Let me take your name and number should we get a cancellation I will notify you right away" This receptionist just cost Dr. Pan at least $15K if not more!!!!! Oh well on to the next Plastic Surgeon I will go!!!!!
To be honest, I cannot remember how much I paid for this, so I guessed. I went to get Coolsculpting done on my arms. I thought is was going to reduct the fat. At the follow up, it was visible that there was not difference. The doctor agreed to do CoolSculpting again to both my upper arms. To be clear, I did CoolSculpting; waited for follow-up appointment; did it a 2nd time. My arms lost some fat, but where the machine actually GRABS your triceps, that skin is literally squished and my arms were left flabby. So while there is less fat, my arms actually look a little bigger when I raise them out, because the skin is looser, flabbier, and hangs lower. This is NOT the doctor's fault. Its simply that the product does not work. Ive been even bothered with my arms for years now, and just wanted people to know that Cool Sculpting can indeed stretch your skin.
