facelip - rhinoplastie

Pre- Op Review on Facility and Staff

The clinic was very modern and took up an entire 13+ floor building in central Gangnam. The facilities were very clean and state of the art. Was impressed with the professional staff and my doctor was amazing!! Everyone from the translator to the nurses and doctors were very professional. Consultation went very well and they listened to my concerns and asked questions to make sure nothing was missed. Explanations were thorough and complete. It calmed my nerves knowing I was going to be in such capable hands:

Happy with Braun Plastic Surgery - Male Blepharoplasty

A little bit about me, I am the type of person that spends a lot of time researching and collecting information before I make a decision. Addressing the under-eye bags was something I had been contemplating +/- my eyelids. I came across Braun during my research and coincidentally, my friend has also been looking into the clinic and their results. Having seen videos and photos of the patients experience and outcome, I felt comfortable to reach out to Braun for a consult. Being in another part of the world, the initial online consult was with Jennifer who was pleasant, knowledgeable and highly responsive. There was no question that was too stupid and we weren't made to feel like we were being an inconvenience. This reassured us that the clinic had a strong emphasis on the patient experience and made us felt at ease if we were to proceed. We decided to proceed with an in-person consult and proposed some potential surgery dates. Fast track a couple of months from the online consult, we made our way to South Korea. Day of in-person consult: - The Braun clinic was in the process of moving to a new building. - The current building, reception and consult rooms were clean and tidy - On the day of consult, I had Min who coordinated, facilitated communication and translated during the consult as required. Min was proficient in English and thorough in ensuring the information, procedures, and pre-post care were understood by us. - I had Dr Lee Wu Seop who was attentive and transparent. He was able to set realistic expectations but at the same time, provide honest feedback around his recommendations. Following the consult, we agreed on (a) non-incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and (b) under-eye fat repositioning. The procedure, risk and post-op recovery and trajectory was all explained during the consult. Day of Surgery (2 days after in-person consult) - Min was present to coordinate and ensured I was relaxed and prepared for surgery. - Another consult with Dr Lee Wu Seop to go through the procedures, risk, and care again. And addressing any questions I may have had. - Surgery completed - Post-surgery I was taken to another room where I continued to rest and was monitored - Min had arranged all the post-op care instructions and medications and went through the post-op care including the next review appointment. Day 1 - 28 post-surgery. - Min was available and responded to any questions I had at anytime. - I attended the new Braun building approx ~1 week after the surgery for review. - A few days prior to flying out around 10 days after surgery, I had a final review with Dr Lee Wu Seop. All was good and I came prepared with questions which were all addressed on the day as well. - After surgery, I didn't experience any pain. There would be some occasional discomfort but it was very short lived. - Bruising and swelling around the eyes and cheeks improved with each passing day. Around 2 weeks for the discoloration bruising around the eyes to resolve. - I had "bloodshot" kind of eyes in the right eye following surgery which was explained as not an uncommon outcome after surgery. This improved with each passing week. Currently at week 4, it is still present but much of it has improved in comparison. - I am pretty happy with the results so far, my undereyes are more balanced and smooth, and my eyelids are much more symmetrical. I am very satisfied with the level of care, the staff, the outcome and the decision to proceed with Braun for my surgery. I have attached my pre-surgery photo below, two weeks after surgery, and 4 weeks after surgery (the 4th week photo my eyelids are slight more swollen than normal due to allergies and hayfever on the day) Updated on 5 Feb 2024: Currently 3 month post surgery. I have resumed all normal activities. Haven’t had any issues, pain or discomfort with the eyes. Swelling has gone down. Looks natural. Looks good and feels good. And happy with progress to date. Updated on 9 Jun 2024: Just a quick little update now it has been 6 month post the procedure. The bloodshot eye resolved and now it is back to normal (it has been for a while). Pain had not been an issue for me and it remains true. The swelling around the eyes have significantly improved. The look overall is subtle which is what I was hoping to achieve. My eyes seems more balanced and the eyelids are evenly distributed compared to previously. Overall I am very happy with the procedure and the outcome.

I wanted a smaller face and taller nose, but still have an overall natural look

Hi everyone, I am excited to be sharing my experience at BRAUN Plastic Surgery in Seoul, Korea. I hope this is helpful for all of you interested in getting surgery here. FYI, I am going to update this thread continually so stay tuned! Background: I had my heart set on Braun after watching their plastic surgery vlogs on YouTube and being really impressed by how amazing the results were, especially on South East Asian faces. I also scheduled with a couple more clinics just to get a fair ideas and various opinions on my facial features. The overall atmosphere of the clinic was very neat and spacious and the staff members were all super polite and helpful. There were always people waiting in the lobby so it was a good sign. First, we did the CT scans and bloodwork to make sure I was healthy. My main areas of concern for surgery were my nose, and face shape. I wanted a smaller face and taller nose (but still have an overall natural look, not too overdone). I had prepared some reference photos in advance to show the doctors. The consultation lasted around 2 hours, but around half that time was spent waiting for the facial contouring doctor, Dr. Tae-Gyu Kim. You get the feeling that he is a very busy man. Dr. Tae-Gyu Kim is undisputedly the face of Braun, as you can see very clearly when you walk across a big poster of him advertising one of the videos that he has on YouTube as you exit the subway station to Gangnam. He is a very decorated facial contouring surgeon, having developed his own patented inverted-V osteotomy technique. Unlike the other clinics that I visited, Braun did not seem to have any VIP rooms, probably because Dr. Tae-Gyu Kim prefers to consult with you in his personal consultation room that he has decorated with his vast awards. I consulted with Dr. Tae-Gyu Kim for facial contouring and Dr. Ji-Won Lee for nose. The diagnosis for my nose was basically the same as the doctors from other clinics. But the facial contouring was slightly different. Dr. Tae-Gyu Kim also recommended paranasal augmentation to lift up the sunkeness right next to my alars. This was something the doctors from other clinics did not mention. To be honest, I didn’t expect so many procedures need to be performed on my face. But you can see with your own eyes that Dr. Tae-Gyu Kim has the expertise that other doctors do not have. He is the only one I can tell who has patented a surgical technique that he himself developed. He has personally published several papers on facial contouring. You can tell the moment you step inside his consultation room that he is the real deal. And that is something the other clinics I consulted with just do not provide. All in all, if you're planning to go to Korea to get plastic surgery, you'd better save up a lot of money. Some clinics will even offer you the same promises and post-ops care at a more competitive prices, but do not be fooled. Not only is it your money, it is also your face and your future depends on it (I'm being a little dramatic but it's somewhat true!). At the end, it is the skill of the doctors and their ability to provide you with the appropriate diagnosis and treatment that all matter. And that is why I chose Braun. Also wanted to shout out to the translation team, especially Esther. She is the one who guided me through everything and helped translate for me during the consultation. Anyway, I'll be updating this post with a 1-mth, 3-mth, and 6-mth post ops in the future. So if Braun screws up my face, I'll let you know. Hope it's not the case though lol! Updated on 10 Dec 2023: Hi everyone, It's 4 week post-op already and just want to share with you some updates. Can I say the first few days were one of the most miserable experiences of my life. I got bruises all around my face and my face was very swollen. Min, another translator stayed with me the whole night at the hospital and helped me get food, prescriptions, and offered to call a taxi home the next morning, which I really appreciate. I also got shampoo treatments and laser treatments to help with deswelling. So far my experience with Braun has been really great. I'm still looking odd and swollen but they say that I will look more natural over time. I feel like I look much younger and my eyes is more opened after facelift. I am happy that I no longer look tired. I have maintained regular contact with my translator once in a while to provide updates on my healing progress to the medical team. Overall, I am very impressed and thankful to all my doctors and the clinic staff.

Rhinoplasty Pre-Operation & Surgery Day Review

Pre-Operation: I first reached out to Braun for a virtual consultation for a rhinoplasty via email. We later switched to WhatsApp to expedite responses, but the overall experience was really good. Esther was my consultant, and she did a wonderful job clearly explaining the pricing and the process. She helped me set up an appointment for my in-person consultation, for the rhinoplasty, and for subsequent after-care procedures. When I arrived at Braun, Esther was there to greet me and prepare me for the meeting with Dr. Ryu Dong Wan. Specifically, she went through the recommended procedures and detailed price points one more time, as well as some legal disclaimers. While the doctor didn't speak English very well, Esther made sure that he clearly understood my concerns and the specific type of nose I desired. Day of Surgery: When I arrived at the clinic, I met with the doctor once more before going into preparation. I re-confirmed my priorities with the doctor, and Esther created print outs of the reference photos I shared that were later posted in the surgery room. I changed and took a few photos before entering a "rest" room, where I waited briefly for my surgery. I was then taken into the surgery room, where they gave me general anesthesia. I woke up in another "rest" room. I felt strong enough to get up almost immediately. Esther was there to give me the take home care pack, which included medication (e.g., antibiotics, painkillers, etc.), q-tips, antibacterial ointment, and gauze. She walked me through the post-op instructions and re-iterated over WhatsApp. Overall, I thought the process was smooth. Updated on 15 Dec 2023: The swelling has subsided significantly; however, I still feel that it's still a bit swollen on the inside. In all honestly, I have not been following the recommendation to avoid drinking, so that may contribute to the continued swelling. Consequently, breathing during heavy exercise is still a bit harder than it was prior to the surgery. I feel that the nose tip has dropped lower, as the doctor said it would. I also noticed that the scars are fading, making them harder and harder to see.

Best Decision Ever: This Restored Balance in my Entire Face.

I had done over 1,5 years of research and countless consultations in Europe and the US before making te decision to go to South Korea. It was all unknown and therefore quite scary to get surgery in Asia, because of all the horrorstories. I've met a great translator who guided me step by step in what is the world's number one Plastic Surgery Capital: Seoul. My only regret: I wish I had done this 15 years ago! I had dual plane facelift, zygoma reduction, genioplasty and a v-line surgery (to fix my jaw asymmetry). After a lot of consultations, Braun was the clinic that immediately stood out. They knew what needed to be done better than I did. This was not about just getting more beautiful, it was about getting back that balance in my face after so many previous fillertreatments and minor surgeries. Three doctors worked for 7 hours on my face. I also had almond eye surgery booked. There was no pain, but, as expected, major swelling. The after treatment though, was next level. Every other day in the beginning, I had a check up AND a hair wash treatment, as well as a laser deswelling treatment. So it was like going to a Spa every other day. I am now two weeks post op. I can already see that improved bone structure and the new shape of my eyes. I highly recommend Braun, als well as my translator Brian. Updated on 24 Nov 2022: I will add some photo's so you can follow my progress. This will give you a good and realistic idea of what to expect. I received even more aftercare treatments (deswelling with laser etc.). So perhaps that also explains the fast recovery. Updated on 21 Dec 2022: 6 week post up: -Minor swelling (mainly on the right side) -Incisions are getting far less visible -Chin is still a bit numb (as expexted) -The rest of my face is not numb, to my surprise. Starting to feel it again slowly. -Mild hardness at the cheekbone area -No pain -Can brush my teeth with a normal toothbrush again -Can chew again but not biting an apple kf course -I don't have to sleep with extra cushions anymore I've posted a photo. 3 Weeks after this surgery I also had a lipline reconstruction at Deesse Clinic. So my lip shape looks slightly different. Updated on 21 Dec 2022: I really dislike going on pictures, so I uploaded my current passport photo. There I can really see the difference. Shortly after this picture was taken (about 5 years ago) I had buccal fat pad removal. As you can see in the very first pic (right before surgery) that also made a difference. The acculift, facelift and facial contouring at Braun were done absolutely phenomenal. Still healing, but I again regret not having this done 15 years ago. Updated on 16 Nov 2023: I'm not confortable posting pictures of my entire face, but I understand so well the importance of real before- & afters. This picture below is perhaps not super clear, but it's 100% unfiltered and without any make up. It's about the contours of the jawline and the cheeks, so it should give you at least an idea what to expect. Best of luck!

Not your place if you want a more natural Asian nose

Don't recommend coming here Came here for a revision. And their customer service is 0/5 stars. They don't really respond or are friendly if you don't speak English in person. The translators are really really young and don't do a good job translating in English and Korean. I can speak Korean just not fluently and they would leave a lot of things out. If you want a fake, Barbie big Caucasian looking nose. This is your place to go. If you want a more natural Asian nose, this is not your place. Don't make the mistake I did by going here for revision. The doctor is really nice and will answer questions

An Australian's Plastic Surgery Journey with Braun Plastic Surgery - South Korea

I am from Perth, Western Australia, 58 years old and currently staying in Gangnam, Seoul ready for my surgery with Braun Plastic Surgery. I will be having a Facelift, Necklift, Browlift and Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty. I decided to come on here to share my experience with you in regard to the ease of booking the surgery and you can follow along on my journey. I initially researched plastic surgery the world over and, through my research, found that South Korea was a mecca for plastic surgery. I then broke it down to a number of plastic surgeries and Braun won me over with their exceptional skills of achieving a natural, refreshed look. They ticked all the boxes for me! Furthermore, I also appreciated the time and effort they have put into their social media accounts, whereby they not only educated you on the procedures, but also provide follows up from some of their clients. Check them out on TickTock, Instagram, Facebook and You Tube - definitely worth following. I initially connected with them via WhatsApp back in January 2024 and sent them pictures to review. They then came back with indicated costs for the procedures that they considered necessary for the outcome that I was looking for. They answered all the questions that I had in regard to the surgery, etc. Even suggesting accommodation for me to look at. The time finally came and I flew in to South Korea this week, I had the pleasure of meeting all the staff and surgeons assigned to me. The facility is very impressive and the manner in which everybody conducts themselves is extremely professional. I met with both surgeons (with an interpreter present) and they talked me through all the procedures and what I was to expect. I also had quite a few questions which were clearly answered for me. I am so excited to have my surgery shortly and finally get my neck (amongst other things) sorted out! It is something that has bothered me for a very long time! So all up, this journey to achieve my dream has been a very smooth experience dealing with this surgery. I highly recommend you consider them if you too would like to be a better version of yourself :) I will be back with before and after pictures once I have had the surgery and been through the recovery period. I will update you how it all goes, but please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them for you. Updated on 27 Dec 2024: Back again to update you on my surgery journey with Braun ? The surgery with Braun went exceptionally well and when I woke up after surgery, I actually felt really good. When I have had operations in Australia, I have woken up feeling quite sick and suffer bad nausea, but I had none of that. I was also very impressed with the fact that whilst under anesthesia, they prick your arm and test the medication that they will prescribe you to take after the operation, to make sure that you do not have an allergic reaction to it. They certainly don’t offer that sort of service in Australia. Braun provided me with detailed instructions on post operative care together with medication that I would need to take for 5 days. They also had an emergency hotline number if needed. Everything was so well explained that I had no issues and just referred to my notes if I was unsure. I can honestly say that it was not painful. My eyes annoyed me more than anything, as it is quite common after upper and lower bleph to experience blurred vision, partly from having surgery together with having to apply ointment 3 times per day. Whilst in Seoul, I visited the clinic for my follow-up treatments. I would meet with the nurse who would then change my dressings, clean the incision sites and also remove the sutures. During this time my surgeons, Dr Lee (for face/neck lift) and Dr Wu (for eyes and forehead lift), would also come in and check how everything was progressing. This enabled me to speak directly with them and address any questions etc. that I had. I also had treatments at Braun to assist with deswelling and healing. My treatments consisted of the hypobaric oxygen chamber for deswelling and healing x 2, red light therapy and led light therapy, facial treatments and I also had my hair washed twice. I flew back to Australia 2 weeks after my surgery and my healing journey continued. That saying of "trust the process", in other words, you need to be patient and wait for things to settle down after surgery is so true! I am now at the 12 week mark and the difference as time progresses is amazing. The swelling around my cheek bones has settled down. The tightness in my face has subsided giving me a more natural, refreshed look. I also had quite a lot of work done on my eyes, ie lower and upper bleph, pinched corners of my eyes to stop the lower eyelid droopiness and also fat transfer to my eye lid area. Dr Wu advised me that, because of the procedures done on my eyes, it will take a lot longer for my eyes to settle down before I would then look at them favourably (approximately 2 to 3 months). Now when I look at my photo's and see the progress of healing, it is amazing and he was so right. Hand on my heart, Dr Wu and Dr Lee did such wonderful work on my face, neck, forehead and eyes, and I am honestly so happy with the results. My incision sites are barely visible due to their amazing skills. I am so glad that I chose Braun Plastic Surgery to carry out my facelift and necklift. I trusted them 100% and they did not disappoint me with the outcome that was achieved. The follow up care when I was in Korea was so good and even when I got back to Australia, liaising with them over Whats App hasn't been an issue at all. If I have any queries, they are so quick to answer me and provide me with advice. So, I am going to let the photo's talk for themselves now. Just look at my results...SO HAPPY!!!! Updated on 22 Aug 2025: Hey there, I am now nearly 11 months post facelift at Braun Plastic Surgery so thought I would give you a picture today before I put my makeup on and after I put my makeup on. Lots of people always comment that they never see pics without any makeup..well here you go . Their amazing talent speaks for itself. Absolutely, 100% NO REGRETS !! Oh and no scars, just perfection!!!

Pre-op - consultation went great, very confident doing surgery with him!

I’m glad i chose this place for my surgery. For one, the staff are very nice and helpful (I was able to get an english translator! Which helped a lot!) The place is very clean and organized as well, very professional! My consultation went great! The doctor answered all my questions and knew exactly what I wanted! I didn’t even need to ask that many questions because he answered them all for me before I can even ask. The english translator was also extremely helpful, she was very kind, and took her time to help me. I did a lot of my research beforehand so I didn’t really have a lot questions for the doctor and I was very confident with doing my surgery with him! Overall my experience pre-op went great! Updated on 5 Dec 2023: It’s been 4 weeks since my rhinoplasty! After surgery I felt no pain whatsoever, NOT UNTIL I had to go to sleep… My first night was so rough, I couldn’t sleep and my face was puffing up so much.Other than that, the pain was a 2/10, I felt more uncomfortable because I couldn’t stop my snot from coming out and my face felt frozen. I was very excited to take off my cast! Once my cast was removed though, i wasn’t too happy with the result. My nose was so swollen and looked so different :( it was for sure something I would have to get use to. Although, my doctor informed me that it can take months and even a year or two for my nose to completely swell down, soo I will be patient and hope for the best! Once it hit the two week mark, the swelling around my face has gone down (i didn’t get much bruising, my face was just really puffy), my face still felt pretty “frozen” (my nose didn’t move naturally with face, so i looked kinda scary haha), and looked really big. My nose is really big honestly!! But i trust the process!! By my 4th week, my nose is kinda moving naturally with my face, still doesn’t feel like my nose yet, i haven’t had any issues breathing, swelling hasn’t gone down yet, and my nose still big haha. Overall i’m still happy that i went to bruan for my rhinoplasty, i feel more confident with my new nose and eager to see how my nose looks after the swelling has gone down! Thank you to my doctor and all nurses that have been so helpful and nice to me! Updated on 14 Dec 2023: It is finally my 1 month! My nose has swelled down a bit from the front, but it’s still noticeable pointy from the side view. I’m happy with the results and eager to see what it looks like after a year! I hadn’t had any issues breathing (and to be honest I felt like my breathing got even better after the rhinoplasty, which amazes me) and the scars are still there, but not too noticeable. There’s still a slight discomfort if I accidentally hit my nose (mostly my nose tip), but everywhere else feels fine, no discomfort whatsoever. The swelling has come down a lot more (except the nose tip), but the tip of my nose still feels very hard and looks very pointy. Overall I still function normally, which is great :D. During my 2nd-4th week, I was pretty scared that my nose was going to look big and pointy forever (due to the swelling), but once I hit my 1 month, I could see that some parts of my nose slightly swelled down. The Braun staff has been so helpful to me the whole time and I appreciate that. Updated on 10 Feb 2024: It’s been 3 months since my rhinoplasty and wow it went by so fast! The swelling in my nose hasn’t gone down completely yet, but overtime I have noticed it slightly going down. My swelling from the front view of my nose has visibly gone down, it looks more “skinnier” now! Comparing it to my old nose (from the front view), i noticed my new nose makes my face look more “snatched”. WHICH I LOVE!! However, from the side view my nose is still visibly pointy and big. Although, in different angles my nose looks really good, just not from the side view in my opinion. After 2 months, I was able to work normally again! During my 1-2 months after having the rhinoplasty, anytime I felt shocked, scared, or even just picking up something heavy, it gave me a tingling sensation in my nose, which felt kinda uncomfortable, but now my nose is fine and back to normal! Other than that, I haven’t had any issues with my nose. I have gotten so many compliments on my new nose, everyone thinks my nose looks so good, and i was told my new nose suites my face better :D. Overall, I’m in love with my new nose and so so happy with the results and i’m glad I chose BRAUN for my surgery. They knew exactly what I wanted and now I can live my life without having the feeling of being insecure about my nose! I can’t wait to see how my nose looks in a year!
