Just over 2 months post-op - thankful and loving my new nose

Having an elective surgery was nerve racking considering it would be my first surgery of any kind. On top of that I was looking to get the focal point of my face changed. I was presented with endless options of surgeons around the area and within the US which also made it a bit more challenging but in a good way. My search for a rhinoplasty surgeon took years but I know now that I made the best choice. Setting up a consultation with Dr. Miller was a breeze and in the consultation itself it was clear that he aesthetically knew what would best suit my face. His kind and caring demeanor made me feel at ease. Soon after, I booked my surgery 4 months out since I wanted to be able to heal over the holidays but they had availability a lot sooner than that. I was given instructions, prescribed pain medicine, and a few other things to pick up before surgery. I also had my blood work done in the office where I had my surgery about 2 weeks before which was great that they offered that as an option. Day of the surgery everything started on time. Pre-op was easy and the anesthesiologist made me feel like I was in good hands. This is the part that I was most nervous for but it was so quick and easy that I feel silly for even worrying about it. I woke up and headed home to rest. The healing process was completely painless. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to take any pain medication at all. Day 6 was when I had my cast and stitches removed. I am now just over 2 months post-op. I am very thankful and loving my new nose! There is of course still a bit of swelling that needs to go down (can take about 1 year) but I was given a steroid injection at my second follow up to speed up the healing process. As the swelling goes down I am loving it more and more! Dr. Miller knows exactly how to make each nose fit each patients face in the most natural way. He works with your features instead of giving everyone the same nose which is exactly what you want when looking for a rhinoplasty surgeon. Overall, Dr. Miller is talented and experienced and it shows through his work. I would recommend him to anyone considering a rhinoplasty. I would also like to note how Claire made the experience of getting me set up for surgery so wonderful. She is the sweetest person and it was a pleasure having her as the one to help me with getting all the paperwork in order. Updated on 31 Dec 2023: This is about one year and a few weeks post op. I've gotten several more steroid injections throughout the year. I love seeing pictures and videos of my side profile now. I do have a bit of swelling left on the right side of my nose but I truly believe that was caused by being a side sleeper.

I couldn’t be more happy with my rhinoplasty results

I couldn’t be more happy with my rhinoplasty results that was performed by Dr. Miller. I waited a very long time to have it done and I’m glad I waited. I would definitely recommend Dr. Miller to my friends and family.

Ear Surgery

My results from an otoplasty procedure are perfect

I am a 67 year old female that has always been unhappy with the way my ears stick out. That however, is not the reason that I chose otoplasty. I wear hearing aids now and because they fit into my ears and wrap around the back of my ear they are constantly pulling and falling out whenever I take on or off my eyeglasses and sunglasses (and mask). It is very difficult to keep the aids in place during my exercise and yoga classes, so I take them off and then I can't hear the instructor. Now that my ears are pinned back, my aids fit perfectly and stay in place all day! The added benefit is that now I wear hairstyles that I always avoided due to the protruding ears. The entire procedure took place on the second floor which is designed for surgery. Dr. Miller, the anesthesiologist and nurses were excellent and i felt comfortable there. The recovery was painful during the first week after surgery but the pain protocol that I was prescribed worked very well. I still have a little tenderness one month later but most of the swelling is barely noticeable and while I still sleep with a headband, I feel that my progress is very good and moving along much faster than I anticipated at my age. I wish I had done this decades ago! SHOW LESSAs an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.

Breast Lift with Implants

Great Experience Overall!

Dr. Haramis of Associates in Plastic Surgery was amazing. I had lost over 100lbs and I lost most of my breast tissue. He performed my Breast Augmentation with Lift. I am so pleased with my results, my breasts look full and natural. I am a bit of a hypochondriac, and Dr. Haramis was there to answer any and all questions I had both pre and post op. He was understanding, accommodating, and kind. The procedure took place at their surgery center in Edison, which was of the utmost convenience for me. It was not cheap, but certainly worth it. I had approximately 3-4 consultations with different surgeons when I decided to get the procedure, and I found a few doctors who charged less, but their work was not as high quality as Dr. Haramis. I highly recommend him and his team at Associates in Plastic Surgery!!

After years of searching for a surgeon, I finally found Dr. Miller at Associates in Plastic Surgery. Choosing a surgeon is not the easiest task however Dr. Miller made me feel right at home. I can finally say I love my nose! The surgery and recovery could not have gone any smoother. I would recommend Dr. Miller to everyone!

Eyebrow Transplant

One brow was a little longer than the other

I had an eyebrow transplant done. One brow was a little longer than the other. Not too long, but noticeable. I didn’t realize this until after I had left the surgery center. I called, and I was told to take pictures of it. I did that. The pictures were sent to DR MILLER, and called me. Leaving a voicemail stating that the eyebrows looked good and that he didn’t understand what I was at. He offered me to come in so that he can possibly remove a piece from the long side. So, days later I go in to see him. And let me say, the Doctor did not perform the transplant. Technicians did. I’m not sure about any other place, but at this center the Doctors do not do the hair transplants. They have I think certified technicians. But what the Doctor does is draw on your face and then tell you to go into a room where the technicians are. Then the Doctor goes away. So, the drawing on my eyebrows initially by the doctor came off. The technician had to re-draw it. He then calls in the Doctor to confirm what he had drawn. So what I am saying is that, somehow somebody screwed up with making things even. That is my whole point. And Doctor Miller, to me seemed to be a bit dismissive. I went into the office so that he could take some of the eyebrow off. He continued to tell me that it didn’t matter that they aren’t the same length and that something about when the hair grows in, that I have to make sure that I take care of it…. Blah blah blah… no!!!! Now I was feeling like you’re trying to throw me off and admit that the pattern is off. The is no accountability. He then proceeds to “taking some of the hairs off “. lol laughable. He said that he took 2 grafts of hair out. He was quick. It took him 20 seconds. He basically did nothing. The one side is still longer than the other. lol I’m just laughing because I’m shocked at this Doctor. Also, how come the Doctor didn’t check at the end of the procedure after his technicians were done? I guess that still would not have made a difference since he didn’t see a problem anyways.

Vaser Liposuction

Not worth it - Recovery was rough. I had no drainage.

I'm 55, in good shape, good weight and workout. My belly, flanks and inner thighs have always been an issue. After having 4 consults, with different Dr.'s I choose my surgeon on his reviews and his years as a surgeon. I had surgery on my lower stomach/belly, flanks and inner thighs. Recovery was rough. I had no drainage. I was swollen and bruised for about 4 weeks.I returned to my normal workouts, my belly looked ok, but not the inner thighs or flanks. I had 3 more follow up visits, mentioned my concerns and was told no plastic surgery is 100%. I did everything I was told to do. I feel like after the surgery the Dr.'s office could give a crap about me. I also had 5 massages following the surgery, which was ok feeling. It's almost 7 months after surgery, I have a lump above my belly button, my inner thighs are bigger, jiggling and bruise easily and my flanks look worse. In the fall, I will have to find a different surgeon to fix this mess. When I can find all the photos, I will post them.
