Very expensive, not worth it

Spent 3,000. Zero results. I do have diastasis recti and think that it was too severe and impacted my results. Providers are sweet. Management refused a refund. Offered back 20% in other services. Disappointing.

Laser Tattoo Removal

I got my first Picosure treatment today. I'm using a medspa I'm familiar with because I had laser hair removal there (many years ago). Ageless Remedies-Southpark in Charlotte NC. Its definitely more expensive than a lot of other places ($700 for my "5x5" tattoo) but I trust them not to ruin my skin in the process.I got this tattoo 12 years ago right after my 18th birthday and I was never really in love with it. Specifically the shape.. it's not organically shaped and kind of just looked like a stamp on my back.A couple years ago I started toying with the idea of getting it removed and I'm finally prioritizing the treatments. This is where I'm starting & I'll update the progress as it heals. As far as pain, I recommend asking to ice it numb. I also took a painkiller beforehand. It felt similar to laser hair removal if you're familiar, but more intense. Updated on 14 Apr 2021: It’s been one day. I experienced discomfort yesterday but today I feel nothing really. Experienced a tiny itch today but nothing crazy. Technician said it would heal really quickly because of how close it is to my heart. Updated on 21 Apr 2021: The tattoo looks really faded and the skin is starting to peel. It itches like crazzyyyyy! Updated on 10 Sep 2022: The picture is before my second treatment today. I had one picosure laser treatment done in 2021. That treatment was done with a single pass over everything in one wavelength. I got great results largely because it was an old tattoo and I don’t go out in the sun. Today the technician used a combo laser treatment to treat the pink/orange/yellow tones separately from the black/blue/green tones. The black/blue/green laser is much more intense. It seemed more painful than I remembered but I didn’t ice beforehand or take any medication this time. We also went a little more aggressive with the treatment. Post care recommendations were to use hydrocolloidal wound dressing since I was likely to blister this time, which didn’t happen last time at all. Due to the size of the tattoo it was hard to find the right size pad so I went online. They aren’t inexpensive ($18 for 5, I need about 10 for two weeks of changing dressings) but the laser tech said any blisters that form will heal twice as fast so I think worth it. The location also makes it weird to apply aquaphor to myself after cleaning so I’m ordering a “back lotion applicator”. I had some help after the first round of treatment but I’m figuring out how to do it myself this go around so I think these things are great if you’re in a similar situation. Updated on 12 Sep 2022: I don’t know if you can tell in the photo but I have several blisters. The pain is noticeable but dull. Definitely more of a healing process this time around. Updated on 19 Sep 2022: I used a hydrocolloid bandage for the week after treatment and it was a game changer. They’re not cheep, but after some research I realized they’re designed to be left on for up to a week, so you’re not spending much more than you would be on repeatedly changing gauze. I have another one on right now to keep me from scratching the tattoo because the itching is torture. I’ll leave it on this week and probably be healed by the time I take it off. Can’t wait to see the full results of this treatment! It’s already more faded that the immediate results from my first treatment but it takes time for your immune system to expel the ink particles so I know it will be like 8 to 12 weeks before I can really start to tell. Also apparently your immune system keeps attacking it for up to a year! So I’m kind of glad I’m not doing my treatments back to back. I think it gives my body more time to recover and fully benefit from each treatment. I’ll post some pictures again once it’s healed. Updated on 25 Sep 2022: I’m over two weeks out now and my skin is mostly healed, still some residual itching from dryness and a little flaking but overall I can see that certain parts of the tattoo are almost completely gone already. The color is almost completely gone with just a bit of orange and pink left. The second hydrocolloid bandage I only wore for three days before taking it off. Seems like that was the move vs leaving it for a full week. The blistered skin was flat and coming off from peeling the bandage away or in the shower at that point so it was time to let it dry up. Updated on 7 Nov 2024: This photo was taken before my third laser treatment session today. You can see the tattoo has faded significantly. It hit more than I remember but I didn’t take any pain medication prior to the appointment this time. $700 for this treatment. I’m excited to see how the third treatment results turn out. I read somewhere that your body is still expelling ink for up to six months after a session of laser treatment so I will probably update around that time or before my fourth session. Fingers crossed that I only have about two more sessions. My first time they said approximately ten but I’m responding really well and I’m feeling optimistic.

Emsculpt Review

Ageless remedies and Dr Greenberg never disappoint. I am now going through my maintenance treatments with Emsculpt and cannot be happier. Im 65 and thought my back pain is now under control and I feel so much better on a daily basis. I know most people are doing this treatmentt for building their muscle and looking better, but for me the unseen changes have been wonderful! amazing technology

Sculpted Arms

I am a little obsessed with Emsculpt! Ive treated my abs and my butt at ageless remedies and just recently started my series for arms. Ive always hated my arms because they are larger and have some loose skin. I ca honestly say after 2 treatments I'm already seeing a difference. Wish I could emsculpt every week!!

Thermage $8000 no results

I spent so much money on my stomach and thighs. ZERO results. She cranked it all the way up to "maximize results" it was horribly painful and had no results even with me chugging collagen products and vitamin C desperate for it to work. Feel like a sucker! Wish I had done BodyTite instead!

Mid 20s Acne Scarring One of Six Treaments

Interested in Fraxel for moderate acne scars. I am scheduled for 5 more Fraxel Restore sessions after this first. I purchased a package of six for the 1550 laser treatment. Jocelyn, my aesthetician, handled the procedure alone without the doctor present. She put the numbing gel on my face, waited 15 minutes and reapplied. After an hour she came back to begin, she cleaned my face and exfoliated it. I told her that I was pretty tough so she went about mid-level for this procedure. She told me what to expect- heat and a prickling feeling and it was that! The prickling/shocking did not bother me as much as the heat luckily the laser had cool air blowing from the top of it. It wasn't awful but I would not say that it is a comforting feeling. At the end of the session, Jocelyn provided me with a fan and allowed me to relax as long as needed. They gave me a skin care kit with cooling gel, moisturizers a no-rinse cleaner and 50 SPF sunscreen for delicate skin. My face was on fire! Not in a terribly painful way more so a really bad sunburn way, it also looked that way. I drove home with my AC fan on high directed at my face. To my surprise, after I got home the pain faded, from what Jocelyn had told me about the skin care kit I thought I'd be miserable all weekend having to apply cooling gel constantly. I did not. I haven't even opened the cooling gel. Saturday, my face looked swollen and still red, I was surprised that I could go outside after this procedure. From what I had researched it seemed I would be held up all weekend. Jocelyn explained that this was for the skin discoloration treatment rather than my acne scarring treatment. I put on moisturizer and then the sunscreen, then a mineral foundation to run a few errands. Sunday, my face had tons of small whiteheads all over, even in places I don't usually break out in. From what I read, this was the skins way of releasing toxins/bacteria and repairing itself. I used the rinse less cleanser, then after wiping it down with apple cider vinegar to clean and then a couple of moisturizers. Monday, I was still broken out but not as badly. My skin had this terrible dry layer of skin with the laser pattern. Makeup covered the blotchy patches but didn't look that great over the dryness. Tuesday-Wednesday were the same. Thursday, I started noticing that a lot of the dead skin had come off towards the center of my face and that the largest of my scars had improved a little. My pores were also a lot smaller! Friday, still some dry skin on the edges of my face. Breakouts to a minimal, OMGoodness my pores are smaller! I'm excited to continue my treatment. Jocelyn told me that I would really start to notice after the fourth treatment. I'll post updates that I've noticed a lot of reviews here are lacking. Richard Paul Greenberg, MD. PhD Ageless Remedies SouthPark Updated on 7 Apr 2017: Round two of six was on 2/24/17. The dry skin went away a lot quicker this time and I purchased their in-house makeup (LUXE) in hopes to make it look better during recovery. It's doing a good job so far, I use it every day. I feel that I don't notice much change after this second procedure. The scar is still there but maybe not as deep? Jocelyn let me know that the reason I broke out in whiteheads previously was because of the sunscreen she put on my face directly after the procedure the first time. She let me know that this doesn't happen to everyone. She didn't put it on this time afterward but I did the next day and still had a few whiteheads. She went a little milder this time at 60, 8 passes. I felt like it didn't hurt as bad maybe because I knew what to expect this time. Updated on 7 Jun 2017: Round three was a breeze, she went a little mild but it didn't hurt as bad and it recovered quite quickly. I'm not sure if this is because I knew what it would feel like going in or what. I noticed that right before the fourth that my scars were becoming less deep but they looked larger? Maybe because they were more shallow? One spot was dark but my esthetician let me know that this was because it was active blood vessels healing the scar and it that it was normal. The fourth treatment was a bit more painful. I had to reschedule my appointment due to a vacation about two weeks later? I was a week away from my time of the month? Maybe for these reasons, it was more painful than I remembered? All in all I'm really loving my results so far. (I went to work without makeup one day!)
