About 2 months ago a got veneers, at the beginning my teeth were super sensitive but got better with time. About 3 days ago one of them started hurting constantly so I went back to my dentist, he took x rays and said that everything looks fine and just gave me a prescription for pain. Also said if it doesnt get better he will send me to a root canal specially but I really want to avoid a root canal if I can. Why is my teeth hurting constantly???
I had 16 veneers placed 10 weeks ago, to correct my crossbite, post procedure I had pain in all my 16 teeth, 2 weeks after, pain became localized in 4-5 teeth with pressure and sensitive to cold, I had bite correction 3 times, a week between each session, now in 1 teeth where I had my crossbite, I have cold sensitivity with mild pain in pressure, the dentist advised me to wait, its been 5 weeks and cold sensitivity still there, shall I go for bite correction again or it may go on its own? Thanks
My dentist said it is a craze line in the porcelain and has not effect on the bonding of the veneer. She said they can last for many years and margins and tooth is sealed. I went to another dentist for second opinion he said the same thing, it is cosmetic and had no effect on the bonding of the veneer. You cannot see the crack, feel it, and it can only be seen if you shine a bright light on it. Do you agree?
I had gotten composite veneers over 2 months ago and I had originally disliked how they came out. The dentist said he was going to be conservative and try not to drill. At first they were real bulky compared to my other teeth so I had came back and he polished them with a circular tool till they were flat. Now I have gray stains and pin holes in them. Could they be removed without damage to the underlying tooth & enamel. Would they be back to the way they were without any additional treatment?
I had gaps in my teeth, but as my bite was great my orthodontist wanted to avoid damaging it through a 2nd round of braces I was suggested dental bonding to both of my lateral incisors as they were peg laterals. The dentist said he was going to try to be as conservative as he could and avoid drilling while giving me composite vineers. However after 2 months I still can't get used to them and want my natural teeth back perhaps get a second orthodontic opinion. Can they be removed without damage?
I am getting veneers on my top 6 teeth. I had to have crown lengthening done first though, and the periodontist said I needed to wait 3-4 months after crown lengthening before getting my permanent veneers on. I have been in temps for almost 2 months now and I am reading that this is really too long. Is it bad to wait 3 months with temps?
They are sensitive to air and even just when I'm drinking room temperature water especially the bottom ones. It feels like whatever I drink its going straight through them and onto where they were shaved down. My dentist said it only last a few days up to a week.. And they are also loose. I can wiggle my front two pretty easily. And its uncomfortable when I'm eating because it feels like they could fall off. Also my dentist said they can be loose when they're first bonded on? Is that even true?
I have a front porcelain crown tooth done a couple months ago and I've notice that indoors or under shading light areas the tooth looks gray ish. The dentist notice it too but said it's ok and it's already glued permanently. But it bothers me sometimes. I want to know if it can be fixed?
