Some people chose a sort of abbreviated facelift procedure. &nbsp;Some call it a mini lift, lunchtime lift, lifestyle lift and other names. &nbsp;Some surgeons will just tighten the skin a bit and eschew the deep muscle foundation, which puts too much tension on the skin closure. &nbsp;Then the scar can drift to a conspicuous location, well in front of the ear. &nbsp;Some people also get some hypo pigmentation or some hyper pigmentation. &nbsp;It is important to address the muscle beneath the lift, for a two layer repair that will hold up for a decade or two. &nbsp;

Facelift, Upper and Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty

This woman presented with the concerns of heavy and droopy eyes, along with sagging of her lower face and neck. Examination revealed excessive hooding over her eyes as well as lax and wrinkled skin underneath her eyes. Her lower face aging was in part due to a deficient chin and the natural effects of gravity and age which presented as jowling and a turkey/chicken neck.The plan we decided on was a lower facelift and necklift along with a silicone chin implant to improve her profile and jawbone angles. We also decided on an upper blepharoplasty for her eyes to address the hooding, and fractional CO2 lasering under her eyes for the wrinkled/worn out skin.All treatments were performed in the same sitting under local anesthesia in our office. Oral sedation was given with xanax as no IV or general anesthesia was necessary. Total surgical time to complete all procedures was 3 (three) hours. Most sutures were removed on day 6, and the remainder at day 12. She was able to return to full physical activity 14 days after procedure with minimal limitations.Her results demonstrate significant improvement in her eyes, as she can now see her eyelids and apply makeup. The skin under her eyes is significantly tighter compared to pre-laser comparison. Her neck and jawline are much more defined with improved sharper angles while still keeping a natural appearance.

	To create a more youthful, but entirely natural appearance, a Sub-SMAS facelift combined with upper eyelid surgery and a subcutaneous temple lift was performed. This results in a long-lasting, younger, more well-rested appearance.

Facelift, Temple Lift, Upper Blepharoplasty

This active male presented with the concerns of significant loss of his profile due to a turkey neck.  He also wished to improve his jawline with better definition and skin tone.  He stated that he was quite consistent with his skin care routine (including retin-a), but the sagging skin continued to worsen over time.We agree together to perform a lower facelift and necklift under local anesthesia in our Center.  He was administered oral valium prior to his procedure in order to alleviate his anxiety.  The procedure time was slightly more than 2 hours and most of his sutures were removed after one week.  He was able to return to physical activity at two weeks.His results demonstrate improved profile and jawline definition while maintaining a natural non-operated look.
