This gentleman presented with a melanoma of the nasal tip requiring removal of the entire tip and much of the skin above the tip of the nose. The large defect was repaired with a forehead flap. The purple markings on the forehead of the first photo represent the midline (dots), and the supratrochlear artery (line) which was located with a Doppler. The postop result shown is 5 months following the second stage of the forehead flap surgery; no revision surgery was necessary. Note the excellent color match of forehead skin to nasal skin, and the nearly imperceptible scars.
