Dr. Katzen performed staged procedures. The first procedure included a panniculectomy, abdominoplasty, and medial and lateral vertical thigh reduction. The second procedure was a breast reduction and vertical torsoplasty. This is a 54 YO female who weighed 475lbs. at her heaviest. This patient underwent a RNY gastric bypass and lost 235lbs. After her weight loss, she did not like her central abdomen, rubbing inner thighs, chronic thigh rashes, shape of her thighs, or size and shape of her breasts. During the abdominoplasty, an incision was made across the top of the pubic region and toward each hip. The abdominal muscles were sewn together and skin and fat of the abdomen was removed. During the thigh lift, liposuction was performed. Then, on the inside an incision was made from the groin to the inner knee. Also, another incision was made on the outside) of thigh from the hip to the outer knee. Two large elliptical areas of skin and fat were removed from the inner thighs and two large elliptical areas of skin and fat were removed from the outer thighs. Three months later, Dr. Katzen performed a vertical torsoplasty and bilateral breast reduction. All procedures were approved by her medical insurance company and were performed under general anesthesia. During the abdominoplasty, thigh liposuction, and bilateral thigh reduction, Dr. Katzen removed 31lbs. Dr. Katzen removed 13lbs from both breasts. Thats a total of 44lbs!! Please note his new, flat abdomen, pubic region, better breasts, and smaller inner and outer thighs.
