The V-SERIES platform by Sinclair offers five advanced treatment technologies with a wide range of benefits, from tightening and rejuvenating skin to contouring the body, reducing cellulite, and removing unwanted hair or scars.Â
Each treatment handpiece allows your provider to adjust the delivery mode, energy levels, frequencies, and more to customize the treatment for your skin type, concerns, and goals.Â
V-SERIES treatments also come with little to no downtime and don’t require anesthesia, making them well worth considering for people who want to avoid the expense and recovery period of invasive surgical options.
Dr. Anil Rajani, a physician in Portland, Oregon who specializes in aesthetics, calls the V-SERIES "an essential part of our practice because they deliver effective, customizable RF treatments with minimal discomfort and downtime." He praises the platform's Switching, Vacuum, and Cooling (SVC) technology for making radiofrequency (RF) treatments safer and more comfortable than older technology. "The Smart Heat pulse enables more selective heating of target tissue using less energy, while the vacuum ensures consistent tissue engagement and reduces the risk of burns." This makes for a "thoughtful, results-driven system that elevates the quality of RF-based care.”
Three different platforms comprise the V-SERIES: V10, V20, and V30. Dr. Nicole Hayre, a board-certified dermatologic surgeon in McLean, Virginia, says “the V30 is my go-to for acne scarring in skin types IV-VI. It’s easy to use, dependable, and consistently delivers excellent results." She notes that “the handpieces we use the most frequently are the IPL and V-Form. They are both easy to use with terrific results.”
Read on to learn what makes each treatment option unique.
The V-ST handpiece uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to firm and rejuvenate skin. Your provider can customize the penetration depth for a range of treatment areas, including the forehead, cheeks, jowls, and even more sensitive areas like the neck, around the eyes, the lips (where it can create a subtle plumping effect), elbows, dĂ©colletage, knees and the neck.Â
V-ST works through a combination of “Channeling Optimized RF Energy Technology (CORE)” and contact cooling that heats and shrinks the collagen and elastin fibers deep within your skin. Afterward, skin looks firmer, smoother, and more elastic.Â
For optimal results, some providers recommend a series of 3 treatments over 6 months.
The V-Form handpiece reduces unwanted fat and cellulite on areas like the abdomen, butt, thighs, and arms with bipolar radiofrequency energy plus vacuum therapy. This combination damages unwanted fat cells (so they can be naturally eliminated) and stimulates new collagen and elastin over time, making skin look firmer and smoother.Â
Afterward, you may feel some tenderness and irritation in the treatment area, but you should feel good enough to resume your normal activities.
Providers recommend a series of 3 to 8 treatment sessions to see the best results.
The V-FR handpiece uses RF energy to stimulate new collagen and rejuvenate skin, reduce wrinkles, lighten unwanted pigmentation (including sun damage, rosacea and facial veins), and treat acne scars.
It offers features like cooling, vacuum, and advanced depth control, so an experienced provider can fully customize your treatment to each area and concern.
Some providers recommend a series of 3 to 5 sessions, every 4 to 6 weeks, for optimal results. The benefits increase over several months, as new collagen forms.
This versatile handpiece uses intense-pulsed light to rejuvenate skin and reduce unwanted hair, pigmentation, acne, and vascular lesions. According to Dr. Hayre, “The IPL clears dispigmentation and telangiectasia [aka spider veins] with minimal discomfort.”
Like other V-SERIES handpieces, safety features like cooling reduce discomfort, while quick-swap filters allow your provider to fully customize your treatment for your skin type and concern.
Treatment plans vary, but it’s common for people to need 3 to 6 sessions, every 2 to 4 weeks, to see the best results.
With a long-pulse 1064 laser, this handpiece is designed to clear vascular lesions, nail fungi, and unwanted hair removal on deep skin tones.Â
Adjustable pulse configurations (with proprietary PCR (PulseConfiguRhythm) technology) and contact cooling offer customization to improve results and minimize potential side effects, while a range of “spot sizes” allow your provider to efficiently treat everywhere from small facial areas to full legs. Â
Depending on your concern, your provider may recommend anywhere between 2 and 6 sessions, spaced every 4 to 6 weeks.Â
V-FC treatments are designed to smooth and firm skin on the face (especially jowls that often form as skin sags), under the chin, the neck, dĂ©colletage, backs of the hands, and back. This noninvasive procedure can also reduce the appearance of cellulite on the thighs.Â
Dr. Hayre is a longtime fan of the device. “The V-Form is the best cellulite device I have worked with, plus it helps with skin tightening on the body,” she says. “Our clients love their results!”
The V-FC device offers radiofrequency (RF) energy with CORE technology for depth control to deliver controlled heat to the desired layer of skin—customized to the body area and concern.Â
Heat is followed by a vacuum massage, to stimulate circulation and make the experience more comfortable.
Most people need three to five treatment sessions to see optimal results, with each session taking 15 to 20 minutes.
There’s no need for anesthesia and no downtime afterward, though you may have some irritation that should resolve within a few hours.
So how well does it work, and is it safe? A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology in April 2025 found no significant side effects during or after a V-FC treatment, even when providers used maximum power. Even better, it found a "progressive proliferation of fibroblasts, elastin fibers, and neocollagenesis [new collagen growth], which was significantly higher 4 weeks after treatment."
By the end of a series of treatments, researchers found a 34% improvement in "average skin laxity grade baseline," "with the average rate of improvement assessed as moderate." In other words, while people with severe skin laxity may want to consider a more invasive procedure (like a facelift), V-FC is an effective treatment for people with mild to moderate sagging.
