I've been trying prescription 4% Hydroquinone and 0.05% retina a cream for 3 months on these freckles around my nipple. I only got this after unprotected sun bathing. It's only faded slightly. Will IPL treatment be faster and more effective?
I have been prescribed multiple creams for my keratosis pilaris rubra. Most recently I have been using a Retin-A cream (I believe tretinoin?) It has helped drastically with the bumps but not the redness. I have been using this religiously for 3-4 months. I also use a prescription cream with 2% salicylic acid and another with 20% urea. Both have a low dosage of hydrogen cortison in them. The KP is very bad on my arms and mild on my face (cheeks). Will another cream help with this? IPL? Pulse Dye?
My pores are very large and are always clogged. I have bad discoloration on my chin and cheeks from acne scars. I'm 21 and have noticed since 16 that my skin just keeps getting worse and the pores on my cheeks have significantly enlarged. I've never gotten a professional treatment done and was considering IPL but was not sure if that's the correct route to go. I've tried many prescribed medication such as doxycycline pills, retinol cream, tretinoin cream and tretinoin gel.
Hello docs. Noone has ever asked this question. im from Singapore and my skin is acne prone but it is clear and stable now after being on retin A 0.1% for 2 years and I already went through the worst skin purging and now Im planning on getting laser hair removal done for my face, which (i think) requires me to stop retinoid routine. Will i have to go through retinoid purging again (6m later) once I'm done with my facial hair removal?
Say I'm your patient with moderate sun damage and I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on fillers or lasers. Should I spend money on a Intense Pulse Light session or do the Obagi System you sell in your practice instead? I'm 35 and use retin-a only right now. I have $600 to spend (hypothetically). What should I buy and why?
I recently bought an at-home IPL device targeted to skin rejuvenation/hyperpigmentation. How can I incorporate into my routine that already includes daily tretinoin usage? Is it more important to avoid retin-a before or after IPL usage?
