I am looking to get a rhinoplasty within the next 6 months. My nose is too wide and overprojected, and my nostrils are large and upturned. No definition, bulbous tip. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Not sure if just tip should be narrowed or the bridge as well (osteotomy)? The tip needs a lot of narrowing. Are there any limitations to this? I want it to be no wider than the width of the top of my bridge, as currently my nose widens significantly as it goes down from the top of the bridge. The tip is also pretty high, it should be lowered. Would grafts be used to give my nose shape/definition at the tip? It feels like my nose tip is just a bunch of excess skin and mushy cartilage. It may be more of an ethnic rhinoplasty due to size and thick skin. Can my skin be made thinner? Probably need an alar base reduction? Or weir excision? I want to address the width of the nostrils, but also the length. My nostrils are asymmetrical. It seems a shift of the columella to my left will fix this? I was wondering if this is possible without a septoplasty? I am not sure if I need one or not, but never had much trouble breathing through my nose. The nostrils turn a bit too far upwards. How can this be addressed? I feel the base of the columella is too wide and there is excess skin. Can this be thinned? I'm thinking this may actually increase the appearance of the nostrils however. Unsure if any cartilage/bone needs to be removed from the upper bridge. I have a slight bump at the top. Have any doctors handled a similar nose? I am looking for skilled surgeons in the South Jersey Area, but I am willing to travel a reasonable distance for a quality doctor. I want to be confident that my nose is going to become SMALLER and not LARGER! And more SYMMETRICAL and less ASYMMETRICAL! More DEFINED. I am also slightly worried about scarring, especially at the sides of the nostrils, so I want to be confident that this is given extreme care as well. And I want it looking NATURAL!
