My dad had 2 engineering degrees and a PhD in Biology, and he viewed the body as a piece of engineering. So do I. I had a rhinoplasty done 2.5 years ago. My nose had a large bulbous tip, then post-surgery it was small and now it's large again -- not as large as before but it might yet keep growing. We know that cartilage-centric aspects (noses and ears) keep growing over time -- not ideal. I'm curious why rhinoplasties don't dispense with cartilage and use pre-shaped nasal forms as implants.
