$9,700Tummy Tuck

Barron67

I finally did it! Tummy tuck at 54.

I'm day 2 post-op and already know I will love the results. I had three kids two years apart 26 years ago. One month after my youngest was born, I needed emergency gall bladder removal which they did laparoscopically on Christmas Eve - (I throw in this detail because I don't think the best doctors are around on call for Christmas Eve in Detroit). Anyway, I developed an umbilical hernia after the procedure and didn't get it fixed until 10 years later. They used mesh to fix it and it's never been quite right. I've worked hard to get in shape and lose weight before the procedure and was 170 lbs the day of surgery and 5'7", but my stomach just always protrudes like I'm pregnant :( Updated on 1 Nov 2021: Surprised and ecstatic to get both drains out today at check-up. They had slowed down quite a bit so did their job. Very slight stinging when removed and no big deal at all. The constipation and back spasms are giving me grief though. Doc said lay off pain meds for best relief from constipation and to start trying to stand a little straighter to help the back. He said the wounds look great! Yay! Updated on 15 Nov 2021: Wow - time does fly and work is so overrated ;) went back today (remotely) and feel exhausted- did not factor in the lack of nap time that I’ve been doing 1 1/2 - 2 hours daily and so plan ahead guys! Block out the nap times. I am done with the pain pills and got my constipation under control by taking Metamucil every day and dialing back the pain pills. Ended up with crazy painful hemorrhoids though, and now trying to get rid of those :/. Suggest starting the 2tsp per day Metamucil ‘before’ the surgery and keep it going to help prevent constipation. Been walking a outside for the past week. Started with around the block only and this was very hard at first and slow!, but today walked a normal pace about 1 mile and felt pretty good. :) I am taping my scar and can’t believe how much it improves each time I see it. I started with just plain Hypa-fix tape and then would add Aqua phor to keep it moist. It’s now completely closed and so I have started adding biocorneum (the tape is porous so you can apply aqua phor and silicone over the tape. I can’t believe how well the tape stays on! Im also trying the sensitive (silicone) version of the HypaFix tape today and will keep you posted. Swell hell- big spare tire and drinking lots of water. Do you guys think lymphatic massage is worth it to reduce swelling? Updated on 19 Nov 2021: Dr. King says to start massaging lightly above scar to help with swelling. It’s worse now maybe because back to work this week and no naps :( Or laying down during daytime. He doesn’t think the binder will really help the swelling or impact results if I wear it now, but was happy with how my scar is healing. My upper abdomen on either side of (but not above- is completely numb there) belly button feels really weird when I touch it like I’m touching it with something hot. He said this is normal. Also no sit-ups or ab work for a long time (6 months!) but cleared for driving - woot! Happy weekend everyone!

Breast Augmentation and C Section Scar Revision

I am very happy with the results of my breast augmentation and c section scar revision. Dr. Clifford did a great job of placement and size selection. He also removed my C section scar "shelf" and I am very happy with how much flatter my tummy is. His staff was kind and very helpful. The surgical center was comfortable and I felt very safe.

Bigger implant upgrade

I had breast implants put in last November and at first they looked great!! About 3 months go I noticed that my upper pole was pretty much gone and now I have no cleavage unless I wear really tight strap and shoulder strap bras which hurt. I am so upset and want a revision even tho the sad part is it will probably cost more than my initial procedure!!! Updated on 31 Aug 2020: I wish I had looked more into the different profiles of implants before going with the high profile. I have researched and it appears that moderate profiles are best to achieve upper fullness rather than high profiles. Plus I wish I had asked my doctor for a more cohesive gel implant that will hold its shape better. I also wish I had known not to go bigger but smaller because I think if I had gone smaller I may have been happier overall. These are all things I hope will help others in their perfect breast quest. Updated on 17 Sep 2020: So I have had lots of selfers tell me that my current result is great, but here is what you cannot see... My breast crease or lower breast fold and pocket has stretched and is no longer attached to my chest wall which is why I have lost my upper pole and even though my implants have not slipped resulting in the dreaded double bubble, this is only due to the fact that I do not think they can slip under my breast crease due to the profile of my implant, and because I am always wearing very tight fitted bralettes 24/7. My implants also fall slightly into my arm pits, known better as lateral displacement. When I push my finger under my natural breast crease I can push my implant up and create the crease that I should have in place, and also create the upper pole look that I am missing. I am also in pain when I am not wearing a tight bralette at all times due to the implants being too low. I have a consultation with my original surgeon on the 12th of October and I am going to ask for narrower, smaller and higher profile implants along with galaflex mesh for my revision. That is my self diagnosis... Updated on 22 Oct 2020: Hoping for more upper pole fullness and cleavage!!! Updated on 13 Dec 2020: So I had my upgrade on December 9th and I went from 385cc SRF to 650cc SCF and I’m in love!!! Updated on 28 Dec 2020: Got em bigger, fuller and looking great!!

Natrelle Inspira 385 High Profile to help this almost 38 year old mom look GREAT!!!

Can't wait for Monday because I have my first consult and I am so excited/ interested to see what the doctor has to say about size and profile and type of implant!! So far I have some wish pics going based on my current size and my wish size, which I unfortunately do not know what I want just yet!! But hopefully after Monday I will!!!!! Updated on 24 Jun 2019: I met with my PS and he is wonderful!!! I didn't feel rushed or embarrassed to ask questions. He was impressed that I had done research and had educated myself about the implant surgery and the different approaches to it. He was so laid back but knowledgeable and he went over exactly how he performs the surgery. He will use sizers and put in different ones then sit me up and compare the implants to my wish pics to make sure I achieve my desired look. I took my before pics today and tried in sizers. The current plan is to go with a 385cc high profile, round, smooth, silicone gel implant, with an inframammary incision and sub-muscular placement. My surgery is November 7th at 8 am!!! Let the countdown begin!! Updated on 28 Jun 2019: These are the winners that I am going to print off for my doctor to have in the surgery room for desired outcome!!! Updated on 10 Jul 2019: I am on here day after day looking for boobs... I have asked my boyfriend more times than I can count "how bout these boobs??" I am really torn between these 2 looks and I want some help to decide what people think look nicer. I am 5'3 with small body but broader shoulders. I nursed 2 babies who literally sucked the life outta my boobs. So which do you think would look best on me Updated on 10 Jul 2019: I want these now!! Updated on 25 Aug 2019: I’m so excited because I’ve been able to share my exciting news with some of my closest friends and all have been very excited for me which is relieving because I was a little nervous to tell anyone. All my friends have been in agreement that these are the best “wish boobs” for me!! Updated on 12 Oct 2019: Well I am just a little under 4 weeks from surgery day and I have had my physical and a good bill of health from my primary care doctor. I am going to be getting my pre-op packet in the mail soon!! Monday I am going to be paying my remaining balance and then the countdown begins!! Updated on 15 Oct 2019: I paid my remaining balance on Monday and am just waiting for my pre-op packet to arrive in the mail and for a call from my surgical nurse to go over pre-op and day of surgery instructions!!!! Ahhh... 23 days left until surgery day!! Updated on 31 Oct 2019: Can’t believe it’s so close!! I’m not taking any time off before my surgery so I am going to go food shopping this weekend and clean my place and then I’ll do a once over Wednesday night. I have to put new sheets on per my surgeons instructions the night before so I’ll have a nice clean bed to come home to after!! CAN’T WAIT!!!!!! Updated on 8 Nov 2019: Went in this morning for a 6:30 am check in time. Met with nurses and had a pre- op meeting wit my surgeon who also marked me up with surgery lines. Met the anesthesiologist and got a relaxer and that’s the last thing I remember . Surgery time was set for 8 am. Don’t remember anything except waking up in the first recovery room around 11:30 am. Super sore and hard to take deep breaths and very groggy and sleepy. Don’t remember being taken into the 2nd recovery room as I must’ve dozed off. Woke up again in the 2nd recovery room where my boyfriend came to see me. Very nauseous and tired. Got some anti nausea meds which helped. Had to then wait a little longer before I could go home. Car ride was painful anytime the road was bumpy. Once home I was so sore and tired. Pain is the worst right after surgery I think. Good news it will only get better as each day passes. Updated on 8 Nov 2019: Slept good the first night after surgery. No matter how much you hate meds I suggest you TAKE THEM!! Helped a lot even tho it makes you sleepy and I am taking mine very 8 hours or so plus I can add oxycodone every 4 if needed. Shower was amazing this morning and got the first look at the new girls!! They look great even tho they are high, tight and sore but I can already tell they will look amazing once the soften, fluff and drop. Updated on 8 Nov 2019: Couldn’t add photos to my previous posts so here is before!! Updated on 8 Nov 2019: Here are my first pics from day of surgery and today!! Updated on 9 Nov 2019: Still very sore and taking rx pain meds round the clock. Finally getting rid of some of the bloat and was able to which helped a lot!! Still very tight and firm but I have started having some muscle spasms in my chest which they said was normal and having some sharp pains which they also said is normal but also means I’m healing!! Boobs look a little softer and not quite so high which is amazing only after 2 days!! Updated on 9 Nov 2019: Had to resize my pics which I forgot to do!! Updated on 10 Nov 2019: Feeling good today... no rx pain meds. Only taking antibiotic and stool softener. Showered again today so I snapped a few pics!! I love how they are changing every day!! Updated on 11 Nov 2019: Felt good today and still no pain meds. Still get pretty tired even tho not doing much. Incisions are starting to get a little itchy which is good because it means they are healing. Not much change in the boobs I feel like from yesterday to today but at times they feel normal and others they feel pretty tight still. Hoping this pressure feeling goes away soon and they start to feel more like a part of me. Updated on 12 Nov 2019: Had a good day overall today. Went out for breakfast with my boyfriend and then ran a few errands. That tired me out and came home and chilled in front of the tv. No big change in the boobs today so no pics. I’ll post more photos once they start feeling different and or look different. Hopefully it’s soon... Updated on 13 Nov 2019: Went for my first post-op appointment today and my surgeon was pleased to see my results thus far. I had my steri-strips removed and the knots of my stitches snipped because sometimes the knots don’t dissolve all the way is what my surgeon explained. He told me that I could start to apply some petroleum jelly to my incisions and to put some sort of oil on my breasts to keep stretch marks from appearing. He also said to wear a bra as little as possible to help my breasts drop naturally. I was very surprised by this and a little reluctant because my surgical bra was kinda like a little security blanket holding them in so nicely. But it is also kinda neat to see my breasts staying upright and perky without anything holding them up!! He also said to not massage the breasts because it can shift the implant into a non ideal spot potentially. I see him again in 3 weeks. Updated on 13 Nov 2019: Updated on 14 Nov 2019: Wow... at the 1week mark!! Funny because I was so worried this morning because I go back to work next Monday and I thought that I wasn’t progressing as quickly as I should be. But now it’s almost 9:30 pm and I feel totally different. Going braless has really helped the breasts relax and are not as tight. Only issue is overly sensitive nipples!!! No new pics today because it’s really chilly and when the nipples get hard it hurts!! I’ll post some pics tomorrow!! Can’t believe how different each day feels. I kept reading reviews thinking man, I’m no where near feeling like back to normal, but tonight is really the first night that they really somewhat feel like my boobs and less like numb, tight sacks!! Updated on 15 Nov 2019: I am about 125 pounds but right now I am closer to 130 and I am 5’3. I wanted fuller breasts to regain what my 2 babies sucked out of me, as I nursed both for about a year. Pre-Op I was a 32D in a pushup bra from Victoria’s Secret, but without pushup I was more like a C or even maybe a B. I know VS tends to size you up a little as they run a little small, and I once was measured at another lingerie store and came in at a 32B. My surgeon said he preferred using Natrelle Inspira round, smooth silicone implants and sized me at my consult and said he didn’t want to go any bigger than 385 high profile due to having smaller breast width. Prior to surgery I discovered he had ordered 9 different sizers to use in the operating room if need be which ranged from 300cc to 450cc. I gave him my wish pics and from there he said he went as big as he could to help me achieve my look and he put in the high profile 385cc’s on the left and right sides and went under the muscle via an inframammary incision. Hopefully this is helpful to others who are following my review and gives you a better idea of my stats. Updated on 16 Nov 2019: Feeling better and better each day although I did some housework today and got worn out quickly!! Got to see my kids again for the first time since my surgery and it was great to see them. Getting up and down is getting easier and sleeping is getting easier too!! Will post some pics tomorrow!! Updated on 16 Nov 2019: Morning boob is the worst part of it now. Boobs are hard and tight first thing but I do find that moving round really helps to get them more relaxed. My right breast is much higher and squared off than my left and I hate the way it looks right now. My surgeon said to not massage them so I am trying to use my right arm more to soften the muscles and get it to drop on it’s own. Here are some pics that how much higher my right, which is your left is. I hate it a hopefully it will start to settle!! I can’t believe how much improvement I have had with feeling back to normal. There was a point where I didn’t think it would happen lol but obviously I knew it would or women wouldn’t do this!! I you feel your healing slower or you’re at those first couple days post-op fear not because I promise it really does get better!! Updated on 18 Nov 2019: I went back to work today. Feel pretty good overall and the tightness improves each day but by the end of the day they are usually a little stiff and I have to kinda make myself pull my shoulders back to help gently stretch my chest. I have started to get a tight neck and tension in my upper back and read about how this can be a side effect of your other muscles getting used to the new size and weight of your breasts. Anyone else experience this?? Updated on 20 Nov 2019: Hi!!! I am doing great... improving every day. It's amazing how much they change every day, although they have remained pretty unchanged in my opinion for the last few days. Tomorrow will be my 2 week post-op mark, which I can't believe!! I have a longer way to go with my right breast it seems and it is taking it’s time dropping plus my incision on that side isn’t as nice as my left, and it is a little frustrating but all in all I’m really happy with my outcome. Love how I look in tops and dresses now!! Thanks for checking in and feel free to keep following my progress!! Updated on 21 Nov 2019: Can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks already!! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was getting ready for surgery day and now look I’m 2 weeks post!! Things have really changed the last 48 hours in my breasts appearance. My right has finally caught up with my left and both feel pretty normal except still tight first thing in the morning and I still don’t have full upper body push or pull strength yet. In a top when I start to “nip” both are finally at the same height and point straight ahead!! Here are my most recent pics and I freaking LOVE my breasts!!! Updated on 1 Dec 2019: Go to see my surgeon tomorrow for a check up and I thought I’d post some pics since it’s been awhile. Updated on 5 Dec 2019: Wow, can’t believe I’m sitting here with a month behind me and my new boobs in front of me, LOL!! They finally feel like a part of me most of the time except right away first thing in the morning. My nipples are still sorely sensitive and I’m hoping that calms down soon. I am so excited because I just found out I’m going to Florida for Spring Break this March and I cannot wait to try on some bathing suits and sun dresses!! I love everything about my new look and I’d do it all over again in a heart beat!! Updated on 18 Dec 2019: Well it will be 6 weeks post for me tomorrow and I must say my breasts feel completely like a part of me now. Morning boob is almost completely gone and the only thing I still have is sensitivity in the nipple area. Other than that all is good!! Will post some pics this weekend. Updated on 20 Aug 2020: Almost 10 months post op and I hate my result. My implants are low and I have no cleavage without majorly tight bra to hold my breasts up. I’m so disappointed and I have a feeling to get it corrected will be just as or even more expensive than my first surgery. Updated on 31 Aug 2020: Really research and gather pics of what you want that are exactly the size, shape and placement of what you want. I wish I had known that moderate profile plants are better for that round upper pole look and I wish I had asked for a more cohesive implant as well. I also wish I had not gotten such a wide implant because it is too big I think for my breast which has pulled them down making them lack upper pole. Bigger is not better and many people on here suggest going bigger because as they settle they will appear smaller, but realize that if they are bigger they will eventually settle as it my e lower than you want due to their size and weight.

First Skin Reduction Surgery After 120+ Lb. Weight Loss (Abdominoplasty with Mons Lift)

I'm 53, and had 4 previous C-sections. I spent the majority of my life overweight/obese and was borderline diabetic and developing fatty liver disease when my GP suggested (for the umpteenth time) that I try a low-carb diet. I thought he was full of BS but my weight had reached an all-time high of 274 lbs. and I am only 5'2-1/2," so I decided to give a 'diet' one last chance before resorting to bariatric surgery. It worked. My Dr.'s recommendations (he was/is a very fit, "CrossFit dude", lol) plus marathon YouTube/other research on low carb/keto lifestyles, etc. gave me the tools needed to make a genuine effort. The first week I lost 8 lbs. and the first month I was down 17 lbs. and several sizes. I lost weight so fast that a family friend thought I had a gastric bypass. It's that fast. The key is to keep carbs at 20 (TOTAL, not net) grams per day, or less; eat fatty sources of protein; and eat only when hungry (don't be afraid to skip a meal; ignore the clock & listen to your body). To make a long story short, I went from a (tight) plus-size 20W jeans and 3X tops to my present size junior small tops and size 4 jeans (I can wear some size 0-2's) and x-small panties. I had 49-50 inch hips when I began my weight-loss journey and now I have 35 inch hips. After moving to Madison, WI, in June 2018, I decided to address my loose skin (I carried most of my weight in my torso and it was severely impacted by the loss of fat/volume) by consulting several area plastic surgeons in the fall. I chose Dr. Clifford King because of his stellar reputation and his excellent bedside manner. During my (free)consultation he took the time to examine the area (abdominal region) and answer my multiple questions. I never felt like I was being rushed or getting the "hard sell." He prepared a quote and it was presented to me shortly afterward. He's a wonderful man and I can truthfully say that as long he practices and I have a need for his care I will only go to him--he's THAT good. I had my abdominoplasty with mons lift (no muscle repair was needed) on December 5, 2018, and I healed quickly and easily. I recently had my 2nd surgery, a brachioplasty, on April 25, 2019, and it also went extremely well. Dr. King removed 13 centimeters of skin from each arm and I felt so good afterward that I didn't need prescription pain meds after the first night. I used Advil/ibuprophen for the next several days until even that was unnecessary. My future plans include: mastoplexy with augmentation (my chest is completely deflated); neck lift, lower face lift, lower blepharoplasty, and fat transfer; medial thigh lift and possible butt lift/augmentation (not massive, just to give my flat bottom a little more roundness). I had such a positive experience that I decided to go back to graduate school to become a PA-C and eventually work with a plastic surgeon like Dr. King. I want to pay it forward and have even started a Facebook page and Madison area Meetup group to offer free low carb/keto/carnivore lifestyle coaching to people (especially those over 40, for I was 49 and thought it was "too late" when I gave it 'one last try') who want and need the benefit of my knowledge and experience. In conclusion, it was/is worth every penny. I feel like I'm in my 20's and I don't think that I look like the typical woman in her 50's, either;-) I will share additional photos and updates in the future.

Mommy Makeover: It is not for the faint of heart, but to me, it was 1000% worth it.

It is not for the faint of heart, but to me, it was 1000% worth it. My sagging skin at my stomach made me too embarrassed to change in front of even close friends. Now I don’t think twice about it. The recovery was painful and I was lucky enough to have a couple of months off of work to recuperate, but the pain is nothing compared to the end results. The pain was manageable with medication and I was off the OxyContin after 3 days. My stomach is still numb under the navel, but I have gotten used to it at this point. I still have all sensation in my breasts and nipples. I have had an extremely positive experience and I think I have my surgeon to thank for it.

Dr. King is amazing. I actually work for another plastic surgeon, but he was exclusively face. Dr. King from start to finish was great to work with. His personality is awesome.
