I had a "Mommy Makeover" November 2021. At the time I was 43yrs old, 5'2 and weighed 135lbs. My Mommy Makeover included... Breast implants ( 455 CC gummy bear implant ) with a lift [ a year later I'm a Full 34DDD ] tummy tuck with muscle repair, lipo 360, lipo to my chin, arms and inner thighs. When I say a Mommy Makeover Journey...I mean just that. I had " Realistic Expectations " but that recovery was intense! You really do have to prepare yourself for a very long recovery. I was swollen for a whole year after my procedure. I had an open wound to one of my breasts that would not heal no matter what I did. I definitely learned to be patient and let my body heal itself. Everybody heals differently. Your results will depend on how your body reacts to this trauma. "My advice" ** Let someone help you!** just relax and let your body heal... You'll get better results if you take this advice. I also prepared myself for this surgery. I bought a recliner, walker and used Bromelain and Arnica ( I feel 100% positive this helped me with my bruising). To sum up my experience... I had an Amazing surgeon * Dr. Potyondy who had the most respectful bedside manner and REALLY took care of me as if I was his only patient. Honestly, his whole team was so patient and expressed compassion and empathy throughout my whole experience. Shout out to Jamie and Teresa who made me feel so comfortable and allowed me to be vulnerable. His OR staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING as well! "If you are considering a Mommy Makeover then this is your sign... the time is now;)". I had a few consultations but I knew ~Dr. P~was the best choice for me. ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS. Life is short, enjoy now Updated on 2 Feb 2023: I couldn't upload a before picture in my original post. Here it is. I'm currently 3 weeks post op with my revision. I had the scars on my Tummy Tuck incision and nipples "cleaned up" and had my belly button revised. So far loving what I see! Still NO REGRETS!
My entire experience was incredible from start to finish. I chose Dr Potyondy for several reasons. He was honest and obviously confident with his skill but not smug. He was straight to the point and make me feel very confident and comfortable w the TT, lipo 360, & muscle repair. I felt so comfortable w his staff and the environment. I spent 6 years of my life absolutely hating the disfigurement from my c section. I hid behind everything. I felt so low about myself. I asked the Dr if he could really help me. He said he would give me a waist, take my fat roll from under my bra, give me a muscle repair, and correct what had happened during child birth. There was a lot riding on it. 15 DPO I was able to see what he had done and my jaw was to the floor. It’s the most perfect tummy tuck I have ever seen-and I’ve seen ALOT. Truly exceeded any expectation i possibly had. Through the process his wife and him had me txt them if I had any concerns at all. Any and every time I reached out, they got back to me right away. I never felt alone or afraid. I will forever be grateful for him giving me my life back. He has true magic hands. I would refer anybody to him for anything he’s able to do. Wonderful doctor and Incredible team.
Dr. potyondy changed my life in the best way possible. My experience with him with nothing short of perfect. From the first consultation to the follow up afterward. Dr. Potyondy truly cares about his patients and their expectations. Dr. potyondy performed an extended tummy tuck, 360 lipo and a BBL all in one surgery. I had minimal bruising and the healing went great. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to have a mommy makeover, or just feel better about themselves.
I have been struggling with a double chin for quite some time. I am not fat by any means, I live a very active lifestyle and have no thyroid issues. I went to several different places and tried kybella, miso therapy, Lazer treatments and finally under chin lipo to attempt to get rid of my double chin. So far nothing has worked. I am quite frustrated that I've waisted all this time and money for little to no success.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Potyondy and his wife, Jaime. They went above and beyond in pre-op and post-op care. I felt like they truly listened to my concerns about my nose and as a result I am so happy with the outcome of my rhinoplasty. I would highly reccomend Dr. Potyondy
Good morning. I am 38 yr old, 4'11, 157lbs. (I am curvy. Lol) I was a full C, now DD :) I am 10 days post. I feel ok, but the lipo part is still very painful. My "bra roll" area has spots that are rock hard, but I was told that is normal. My nipples still look scary, so pray for me. Haha Updated on 31 Dec 2019: My sides are still very sore where I had the lipo done. There are real hard spots where the lipo was done. Hope that’s normal. :) I think the implant dropped a bit, but still “riding” high. My nipples are still swollen and my right nipple has little feeling. (I know that’s normal) other then that, I feel good. Updated on 3 Jan 2020: Today was my two weeks. I can’t believe I’ve had these twins for two weeks already () Doc said I look really good. I’ve been taking good care of “them”, so that’s awesome to hear! I still have the tapes that holds the incision in place. So because I’ve kept it so clean and dry, he said the longer you keep those tapes, the better for healing/scaring. So. I decided to keep them because I literally have nothing to lose, but to gain, plus it’s my security blanket because I’m scared! Haha I get zinging pains at random, and of course I have pressure still. Sometimes I get pain under my left breast where the incision is like it cracked open, but no bleeding appears. (The tape is covering the incision) My left nipple is still more swollen looking then the right. But I was told not to worry :) The lipo area (bra roll) is still sore, but common. I have hard like lumps (scar tissue) that flares up then goes back down a bit then flares up again. But I was told very normal. I got the OK to use my massage chair I have at home to help smooth out the lumps. So. I guess. So far so good. :) I can’t wait for them to soften and drop.. Updated on 8 Jan 2020: 19 days already. Man! Today I got the big tape(s) off, and am now using little tape(s) along with makuana honey. Dr said I’m healing nicely. I will say, I was so scared to look after the big tapes came off. But, I was shockingly surprised my nipples don’t look as bad as I feared, still scary, but much better. lol Dr also said I would get my color back in my areolas. My incision look good. My left incision looks a little more deformed (for lack of a better word maybe) but dr said this is normal and the honey will help. (I’ll try and remember to take a picture next time I change the tape) I can shower fully now, so that’s exciting. I’m getting a lot of nipple “zigs” today. Maybe doing the uncovering sparked up some nerves. :) I’m still not back to work as a massage therapist, however I have done some office paperwork and seem to be doing fine. I see the Doctor in 3 weeks. :)
I had my daughter when I was 20 and I was fit but I ended up with stretch marks and loose saggy skin.... my boobs were always decent in size and shape but after breast feeding 2x and loosing baby weight they were not what they used to be either... I spend my 20s wearing specific clothes to cover what I didn't like about my body I am excited to spend my 30s wearing whatever I want with no shame ! I am 6 weeks post op and I feel and look so good !! I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I am no longer in any pain (unless I cough) just some numbness an tightness in my tummy but am getting around fine. I am happy with my results the healing is a long process however... ( I had 2 c sections and the pain was about the same) the first week I was in a lot of pain even with the meds and I spent most of my time in bed and needed a lot of help. the first BM was painful like really bad I even with the stool softener and coughing was extremely painful laughing was too but not as bad as coughing. after the first week I did not need the pain meds anymore but was stiff and unable to stand up straight until week 4. I started lymphatic drainage massage at week 4 and it helped me to not be so stiff and tight and I was able to stand up straight. Now I am using silicone sheets and scar gel to help healing my scar the healing of the scar is a long process as well I want to wear a crop top and bikini asap but I want it to fade more first I would recommend getting surgery in fall so you have many months to heal before summer so you can wear what you want in summer . I no longer have numbness or pain in my breast but I dont have all the feeling back yet hopefully I will soon. I feel like my tummy is so flat and tight and I was told that it will go down even more! I will update with pictures soon..... Updated on 22 Dec 2019: Here are my photos 7 1/2 weeks post op with before and after tummy tuck and breast augmentation the dr recommend 400 cc and I went with 350 because I didn't want it too big, I also went with sientra implants because they had the best warranty.
I was so skeptical of my results but Dr Potyondy was right, and always answered the phone and was available for appointments when I was unsure of my results. My waist looks better and better every week and now my butt looks bigger. After the swelling I see results. I love Teresa the nurse and his wife, they're good people and know what they're doing. Sorry for doubting you Dr. P! Updated on 2 Dec 2019: I still have swelling on my Lipo area but my butt is finally settling in. Still bruising on the buty and my stomach goes up and down but I see a difference once I put a bathing suit that made me look like SpongeBob preop ! Stay away from sodium this is the reason why am swelling up Updated on 2 Dec 2019: I already had a butt before the surgery but now I’m more contoured , smaller waist and I have more volume up top. Just remember I am still pretty swollen around the stomach area. This surgery is not for the week you have to be mentally strong and trust your doctor and keep on wearing a compression garment. I bought a Lipo board and that helped take the swelling away from the bottom of my stomach Updated on 16 Dec 2019: I noticed my butt is bigger at night time after I eat so this is a picture of it. I’ve been doing push-ups, squats, and now back of the thigh exercises. In the morning my butt feels so small! I am eating more and it feels like I look better when I eat more. Updated on 26 Dec 2019: I started to lose weight after cutting carbs and Dr. P put me on a carb diet and my butt is growing! My lipo area is slimming down, i am happier than before. Im just doing push ups and squats since i dont wanna lose fat. Ill work out harder at the end of January, after my 3 month. Updated on 19 Feb 2020: I see my hips first I was swollen but now I see the shape he promised me. Butt is super soft, my abs are coming through I’m running on treadmill and doing push ups and weighted squats!!! I have to still wear compression garment or I swell up after 20 minutes. I have been retaining fluids on my ankles and belly, pelvic bone still swollen Updated on 1 Aug 2020: My waist is very curvy but my butt on the sides it doesn’t stick out as much as you think it would looking at my waist. After my one year mark I’m getting a revision to fill the top of my butt. He also put fat on near my waist so when I gain weight my waist gets bigger too. I just want to touch up. The photo in the green bathing suit is now in the photo in the leopard bathing suit was just a couple of months after my surgery. You can see how even after six months your curves are still settling. I wanted a body that looked amazing and body con dresses and sundresses but I look terrible with them so I’m stuck wearing two pieces or shorts. My butt is flat in dresses Updated on 31 Oct 2020: It’s best to gain weight slowly by working out and lifting weights I’ve gained 10 pounds since the surgery and my results look better to me. I think I was too skinny to see the results I want it before. Curvier yes still fit Updated on 18 Nov 2020: I gained another 10 pounds but working out has improved the results again. Running does help keep your shape especially short sprints even though they tell you not to . Butt does get bigger but waist does too :( so I’ll lost 4 pounds wanna lose another four
Best surgeon in Washington. His staff is lovely and so respectful. Potyondy listens to your ideas and goals and then tells you what he thinks. He never pushed any extra surgeries on me and was there every step of the way after my surgery. I am going back hopefully within the next 6 months to get a breast lift with breast augmentation. Updated on 29 May 2019: Forgot to post pictures in my last review. I am so in love with my results. Might do a scar revision along with breast lift and augmentation. Best surgeon and staff is amazing. So much more confident.
Here we go! I am officially 11 days away from my tummy tuck, mastopexy, and breast augmentation...and I’m freaking out! I have been overweight my entire life and in August of 2017 at the age of 23 I decided to have the mini gastric bypass surgery done. At my highest weight I was 310 pounds. Currently as of today I am 144 pounds. When I was overweight I carried all of my weight in my chest and abdomen. So, As you can imagine, I have an UNGODLY amount of loose skin in my abdomen and in my chest now. My pre-op appt is on Tuesday the 19th and I get to chose what size I want to go with my breasts and I am AT A LOSS as to what cc’s I want to go. When I had my consultation my surgeon asked me if the number 525 cc’s scared me...I wasn’t sure how to answer because I genuinely have no idea how big that would be on me! I’m definitely not trying to look like Pamela Anderson, but I’m also not trying to look natural either. Does anyone who has had BA done have any tips or suggestions? I have heard LOTS of women say that they always wish they would have gone bigger. I just want to get it right the first time. I will attach some before pictures of me and then some pictures of women who are my goal to look like! Updated on 27 Mar 2019: I had my pre-op appt last Tuesday. We decided on a size!! 535cc ultra high profile since he will be having to create a new breast out of a non existent breast. It hit me today that I am only 2 days away from surgery!! I filled all of my prescriptions, I have the recliner set up in my room, I have a bookcase with all my essentials that will be in arms reach and I think I am ready!! I am so excited!! I feel at ease with this whole process. I was nervous but I don’t get overwhelmed with nerves anymore, nothing but smiles and excitement here for this girl! :) :) :) next time You hear from me I will be posting post op pictures!! Updated on 1 Apr 2019: I cannot believe that I am already 3 days post op! I had surgery Friday morning and I was home around 2:30 in the afternoon. The whole rest of the day was an absolute blur and I just remember not being able to open my eyes because of the lube the anesthesiologist puts in your eyes to protect them during surgery. I went to my day 1 post op appt Saturday at 11, the Doctor said he was very pleased with my results and once all the swelling goes down I will be very very happy. He removed 6-7 pounds of skin off of my abdomen!! The pain on the first day was minimal, I was very surprised. It felt like I had went to the gym the day before and worked out REALLY hard. It was more of a sore feeling. By day 2 the pain had increased...so then did my pains meds. I am taking Oxycodone 5/325, they have saved my life. ???????? I have been doing a lot of napping, Netflix watching, peeing and more napping. I am able to walk around the house and up and down the stairs with out any problems. I just get very tired very quickly. Just a short walk up and down the stairs requires a 2 hour nap to follow! I have some post op pictures, keep in mind that I am very swollen still. But so far I am a happy camper! Updated on 27 May 2019: Hello all, just checking in to give an 8 week update! I went back to work at 5 weeks post op, I’m a nurse in the operating room so I am on my feet 8 hours a day and lifting heavy patients to and from beds. 5 weeks was plenty of time to take off, just in case people are wondering :) as for healing...we hit a few snags in the road. I had a few sutures that my body just wasn’t absorbing so I had to remove them and let the small blister it created drain, but once the suture was out and the blister drained the healing was smooth moving!! I am relatively happy with my tummy incision, there is one area that I quite wide and a deep purple, I may have to do a scar revision once we hit the 6 month mark. I am SOOO extremely happy with the breast incisions though!! I had a few areas on my left breast that had the suture that was irritating the skin but despite that the incisions look amazing!! I am also happy with the size of implant and how perky they look. Nd don’t EVEN get me started on my belly button ???? it is a dream! I couldn’t have asked for a better belly button! Dr. P is the best and I am so happy that I chose him as my surgeon! I’ll check back in a few weeks with more updates! Updated on 18 Sep 2019: Still very very very happy with the results! I did 535cc ultra high profile and some days I almost wish I would have went bigger!
When an implant is placed, there is a great deal of healing and compensation that has to occur. I get your concerns regarding differences, but you have to give it enough time for your body to naturally settle the implant. It has only been 4 weeks. It sounds like you are doing all the right things. Trust the process.
So the question can I get away with not doing a lift after removing implant?when an implant is removed the tissue does contract back some but will take at least 6 months. Beyond that, time has past since implants were placed so natural settling has occurred as we are all fighting gravity. So generally a lift is a good idea to counteract implant removal. That being said 200 is a tiny implant so you could try it without lift as long as you understand you may want a lift down the road.good luck!
If you meet the criteria, then the insurance should cover it. The best thing to do is to come in to the office and we can submit it to insurance.best of luck!
Choosing size of implant requires multiple factors, such as height , weight, chest width and body frame. Of course personal factors and patients idea of ideal also play into the equation. So in essence there is no "perfect" one size fits all approach. I would say you are tall so larger implant probably is appropriate. I also find that when patients go a little larger than what they think, they are happier. 450 cc range might be a good choice.....best of luck!
Implant size is always a difficult and personal choice. On the one hand you don't want to be "too big" but you need the volume to fill out the skin envelope. Based on your size 600 cc does not seem unreasonable. Personally I prefer a higher profile but there is nothing wrong with a moderate.Another consideration is if you need a breast lift. Pictures were not available to confirm, but often if you do a lift you can get more upper pole fullness and possibly get away with a smaller implant and still look filled out.
