I always wanted a reduction it was a goal of mines, so March 29,2017 i have my 1st consultation appointment with Dr.Susan Otero. I was a nervous wreck to be honest, and plus the room was cold my boobs was freezing because they made me change into a gown, any who Dr. Otero came in greeted me with her quiet pleasant voice she opened my gown and asked my size i was so damn embarrassed because honestly i don't know..she told me it was okay, and asked me what size would i like to see.. i told her i just wanna be able to go in Victoria secret or Macys and get a bra, and not worry about it cutting into my shoulders..she smiled and said our goal is to have you at a nice size, which you will be comfortable and no more sharp pain, and from there i felt comfortable as she told me where my nipples should be sitting i was like WOW all the way up there she said YES!.. she showed me how she would cut around the nipple then down and cut under the boobs, i was going crazy she made sure i was going to be fine she didn't pressure me into anything, she answered all my questions far as do i have to stay in the hospital she said yes over night, then i said do you do a lot of these type of surgeries which is obvious, i was more so nervous and froze because i was scared i calmed down and the assistant took pics and i got dressed and they sent it off insurance. she told me the insurance always work with her. and that most likely i will get approved, and sure enough I GOT APPROVED a few weeks later... i said this is really happening OMG! I go Monday the 12th for my pre-op appointment excited and nervous at the same time, i am just weeks away from my surgery and reading other bloggers i am excited and a little scared of the pain drainage and recovery time because i have a active 7 year old, and school will be out next week. I more so know he going to be upset seeing me in pain, and how he will react a true mommas boy, but we will be fine. I will be back Monday ladies and let y'all know how my appointment went!
Had always been a firm and perky 36B, and very satisfied, as was the hubby. Once when I put on about 15 lbs was a pleasant and curvaceous 36C. Have always been a bit asymmetrical - you know what they say, everyone has one side of the bod slightly smaller. But with the downward pull of that darned thing called gravity...Deflation City...the breasts began a permanent flat line. Suddenly found...
Dr Susan Otero is so amazing with her work and her personal as well .If your in the Washington DC area Dr Susan Otero is the doctor to see .
I should have been started writing aboout my decision to get a breast reduction. My friend initially told me about it 2 years ago. I put it on the backburner because of other obligations. The first time I went to see a surgeon he was very off putting and kind of made me rethink my decision. Two years later I am still experiencing all kinds of pains, headaches, bruised shoulders, cuts, rashes, ...
I started developing very young, and had boobs by age 11. They continued to grown throughout high school. Freshman year I was sized at a 32 DD, an almost impossible size to find anywhere. Today I wear a 34 DD, but wonder if I am closer to a DDD as I haven't been sized since freshman year. I weigh 120 pounds and love to run and exercise and within the past few year my breasts have made that...
5 out of 5 stars Breast Reduction
Pleasantly surprised. Left the office relaxed. 3 days after surgery I feel so lucky. She's the best. Perfect symetry. No loss of nipple sensation, my breast match my body. I look 15 years younger. Excellent bedside manner. Very experienced anesthesiologist. Great hospital. Answered lots of questions from both my mom and I. She is the best. No question!

I would very highly recommend Dr. Otero, especially if your surgery will be covered by insurance. Where I rate her lower, it's basically because she is running a super-busy practice that is focused a lot on patients who need reconstructive surgery and are on insurance. So not the kind of personalized attention you will get from a private practice. You can expect to wait if your app't is in the afternoon and she is all business. That being said, she is friendly, direct and very supportive. She worked really hard to give me a fabulous outcome and so far I'm really pleased with the results.
5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck
Dr Otero was lovely, and everybody at the Washington Hospital Center was very kind and caring. I had a great experience! I've only had one follow up so far (next is on the 17th). The office does NOT finance, so all money has to be paid up front for cosmetic procedures (hence the 4 stars on payment process). I had to pay the 2851 up front, and the rest is being billed through the insurance.
