Lip Lift with Dr. Stephen Baker - Washington, DC

I had general anesthesia because I can't tolerate pain after numeous surgeries and regular IV sedation wasn't safe for me due to throat issues.

Lip Lift- 26 Year Old Woman, Washington DC, DC

Dr. baker is based out of Georgetown University hospital, a very reputable place. He is very talented with an honest bedside manner and a good eye for aesthetics. He did my nose job four years ago and I was very pleased, so of course I came back to him for my lip lift. He was upfront and reassuring about what I could expect from the procedure. Scheduling and payment was no issue. My only advice would be to make sure that you are always dealing with HIS assistant (I worked with Lorie) over the phone and not someone else's in the practice. Dr. Baker did a great job making sure I was pain-free for the operation, which was done onder local in his office. He was very careful to do the most perfect job on me, and I really believe that he did! He was very open and honest about just how much of a lift he thought would look good on me, and he was right. I think this man is a great surgeon because he makes you feel completely in the loop and hhe tells you how it is, point blank. He also clearly has a good eye for what's visually pleasing and would never recommend a procedure for someone that was "too much" for them to carry off. There is not one way in which my dealings with Dr. Baker have disappointed me. I will go back to him for anything I want done later in my life.

Upper Lip Remodeled - McLean, VA

I LOVE Dr. Baker! I especially like that he works and teaches cleft palate correction and dental and oral surgery -- he definitely understands the mouth and teeth territory. =D He personally called me the day of my procedure, and 2 days after to check up on me.

Nice Surgeon, Lacks Skill - Washington, DC

While Dr. Baker is extremely courteous and kind, he not only lacks skill but also some common sense when it comes to how to conduct business and what may look aesthetically pleasing. The staff is lost and disorganized, and his PA is rude. I really hate to write a poor review but I wish someone had warned me before I received a completely botched filler job. I saw someone else he had performed a surgical procedure on that had horrible scarring from a terrible stitching job. He should probably stick with academics. You're better off with a private practice where surgeons are focused on cosmetics.

1 out of 5 stars Revision Rhinoplasty

I recently went to Dr Baker to have cartiledge removed from the tip of my nose. Dr Baker removed the stitches that held the bridge of my nose together causeing my nose to spread wide, he never asked for records from my old surgeon and come to find out he didnt remove the cartiledge at all. Dr Baker is not a good revision surgeon, If you are African American looking for Revision Rhinoplasty go...
