Blessed by Dr. Azouz and His Team

Dr. David Azouz performed Gynecomastia surgery on my 13 year old son. My son had a very, very severe case. Our pediatrician told us we had to wait until age 18 to get surgery. Thankfully, this is not true. Dr. Azouz does surgery on boys as young as 10. He did an amazing job on my son. His chest is now flat and his confidence is improving every day. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Azouz and his team. They are wonderful! Dr. Azouz called my house and checked on my son every day. I called him several times after hours and he called back immediately. The surgery center and anesthesia team were also top notch. If you find your son in need of Gynecomastia surgery, go see Dr. Azouz. You will not regret it!

Awesome!

Dr. David Azouz & Dr. Vitali Azouz were both exceptional! They were very personable and informative! Neither doctor ever made my husband (their patient) or myself feel like they weren’t invested in our care and well being. They answered every question with detail, but also explained it in such a way that was understandable. We saw them for emergency surgery, but should we ever need any service they provide, we will absolutely use them and refer them!

Life changing results & gynecomastia recovery went smooth

I’m very glad I chose Dr.Azouz for my surgery. He took great care of me, and I love the way I look now. Him and his staff are very kind, and made me feel at home. The surgery took a couple hours, and my recovery went smooth. People around me have already started to give me compliments on my appearance, and my self confidence has skyrocketed. Life changing, and worth every penny.

Exceptional doctor and staff - results are more than I expected

Dr. David Azouz, Dr. Solomon Azouz, and their exceptional staff, of Susan, Eileen, nurse Casandra(not in order of "who was the best?/importance"!), were/are so professional, courteous, patient, and most importantly, besides the fantastic results I received, provided me the "peace of mind/sleep easy at night" reassurance, I was seeking, and the proper, concise, clear expectations going forward, in an easy to understand way, I really appreciated, i.e., "what comes next?." I recently retired as a stock broker/trader, after 37 years, and thus know a little about customer( "patient" in this case-concept applies in any service, profession) service-I know, of what I speak. I was, for the lack of a better term, a bit "scared," reluctant, worried, hesitant, to begin this undertaking. But they understood that, like I did when dealing with peoples' hard earned saving, that I needed that "sleep easy at night" peace of mind. Each one of them listened to my concerns, reassured me, addressed my concerns/questions, thoroughly, not once "talking down to me," even though I suspected they had heard my concerns/questions hundreds, if not thousands of times, based upon their years of experience! They treated me like I was their first patient. Well done. Well done. That is a trait, I tried to exhibit, during my years in the financial services industry. They. "get" the desire patients, yes, customers, have for peace of mind, confidence, reassurance. I recall when I first called them, nervous, and I spoke with Susan. She was so reassuring, encouraging me. That meant "a lot" to me, and made my decision as to whether to consult with the doctors a "slam dunk" yes! I will always remember, the day of the surgery-Dr. David, Dr. Solomon, Casandra, and the entire staff at First Baptist Medical Center, all treated me so well.Again-they were so professional, in both the preparation leading up to the surgery, and afterwards. They really treated me as if I were a member of their family. That is an admirable trait, in this often cold, impersonal, "fast food," so to speak, hectic world/society, in which we live. i Additionally, I cannot stress this enough: the follow up visits, were/are so thorough, reflecting their goal of making sure everything meets my expectations. As stated, the results are more than I expected, and, at the time of this writing, I am 3 1/2 weeks post surgery, and, as Dr. David and Solomon told me, "you look fantastic, and people won't recognize you in 3 months!" I could go on, and on. However, being a Christian, a member of the body of Christ, perhaps a biblical exhortation, edification("to build up") is most appropriate, warranted here, as it is written,,,,"Who hath ears to hear, let him hear...."(Matthew 13:9 KJB). Hear me-call Dr. David Azouz, Dr. Solomon Azouz, Susan, Eileen, Casandra, for a consultation, for your peace of mind, for first rate professionalism, for first class results.

Best Decision I've Ever Made - natural and symmetrical look

My surgery has changed my life! I was born with pectus excavatum. With this deformity, women like me typically have deformed and underdeveloped breasts. I've wanted a surgery since middle school, but could never afford the procedure. I've struggled with my confidence and hid myself behind special bras, oversized shirts, and obsessive workouts to hide the deformity as much as possible. Researching procedures and pricing has been yearly routine for me, but this year I stumbled across Dr. Azouz's website where they specialized in this deformity. I requested a consultation and was contacted the next day. I was told the procedure would be covered by Care Credit and I simply said yes (at 30-years-old). I'm still in shock that I finally had the courage to do this. I travelled from Vail, Colorado to have a breast augmentation in Dallas, where I had family to stay with for a week after the surgery. I had never been so nervous in my life! The staff was supportive 100% of the time. They always took my calls and answered any and all concerns. Instead of having the chest wall repaired, I received only breast implants to cover the deformity (even if I had the chest wall repaired, my breasts still would have been deformed). I am 5 weeks post-op and I can't even tell I have pectus. I have gotten so many compliments. I went from an A (left) and B (right) cup to D's. I thought they would be too large but they are perfect and settling nicely. People have mentioned how natural and symmetrical I look now and it is truly amazing. I could not be more grateful. Any woman suffering from pectus, wondering if this is the right surgeon and procedure, is in amazing hands and you will not regret the decision for one moment. Thank you guys!

Can’t wait to completely enjoy the benefits of this procedure

It’s been a month since I had gynecomastia surgery with both Dr. David Azouz and Dr. Solomon Azouz (they’re a dad/son dynamic duo haha). I currently need to wear 2 compression shirts & 2 binders at all times except during showers; so I’m not able to enjoy the full benefits of wearing fitted shirts in public just yet. But even 4-5 weeks out of surgery I can notice an immediate difference in wearing fitted shirts. Prior to surgery, I would need to wear hot, sticky compression shirts or put bandaids over my nipples to mask its appearance in public. However, I’m confident that I’ll no longer need to do this once I’m cleared to take off my binder! I’m so happy about this. Price-wise, expect this to be pricey for several reasons: this procedure is elective, these surgeons are very experienced, and they have generally outstanding feedback from their patients (he gave me a discount for being a healthcare worker). Dr. David Azouz is one of the most in-demand board certified plastic surgeons in Dallas. He also treats patients from all around the world and performs gynecomastia surgery very frequently as its one of his most popular procedures. He conveyed to me during my appointment that sometimes he performs over five of these procedures on different patients on a given day. Therefore, he has likely perfected every tiny surgical detail as well as its typical post-operative management. My insurance didn’t cover this. However, because of their long-standing experience, I didn’t have a problem with their price tag. I paid the whole thing out of pocket but I believe they offer installment plans if I’m not mistaken. As far as the surgery itself, I was given IV sedation with Propofol and Versed; there’s no need for intubation. Of course anesthesia is individualized based on your history and preferences. For myself, Anesthesia was able to manage this procedure without an invasive airway (its kind of like if you’ve ever had a GI scope - similar level of sedation). The CRNA I had was pretty chill and answered all my questions pre-operatively. It takes place at an outpatient surgery center near Medical City Dallas and you can go home the same day with a designated driver after recovering in PACU. The day will go like this: you go to the surgery center, you change into a gown, a nurse inserts an IV, and you walk yourself into the OR. During this time, the CRNA (or whoever is the Anesthesia provider) places EKG stickers on your back and you lie down on the OR table while they restrain both your arms. The last thing I remember is this and Dr. David Azouz starting a pleasant conversation with me (I believe he does this to calm your anxiety and assess your level of consciousness to see if you’re adequately sedated for the procedure; at this time the CRNA is pushing sedating medicines through your IV). I honestly don’t even recall seeing my CRNA pushing meds through my IV. I was asleep during the procedure. The next thing I remember is being in the car at CVS Pharmacy with my family telling me they’re going to go inside and get my pain meds real quick. Side note, my family said I was trying to jump out of the car on the highway on the way home hahahahahaha). I don’t even remember waking up in PACU. I got home, they got me dressed in my PJs, and I went to sleep. I don’t really recall much else from that day. To your benefit, the IV meds you’re given intraoperatively produce varying levels of amnesia. As far as pain, I didn’t have any pain at all following the procedure. I think I was given Tylenol #3 with Codeine (I forgot tbh because I didn’t use it much), but it’s a narcotic for mild-moderate pain every 4-6 hours PRN). My only complaints was the soreness (like doing a chest workout) and the skin agitation I developed from the compression shirts and binders (I have a lifelong history of eczema). I did develop blisters and inflammation around my torso which was WAY more uncomfortable than the surgical sites themselves. Dr. Solomon was really nice to me and gave me free Aveeno eczema sample creams and balms as well as a prescription for a corticosteroid called Clobetasol propionate cream (which worked wonderfully). My rash quickly resolved on post-operative day 4-5 after being able to take off the compression garments, airing out my torso, showering, utilizing the creams and gel, and wearing a soft cotton undershirt to cushion my skin from the binders and compression shirts. The follow-up appointments are weekly for the first 2-3 weeks. My next one is in 2-3 weeks. Some surgeons utilize bulb drains to drain fluid from the surgical sites but Dr. Solomon and Dr. David do not. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about them being taken out at a follow-up appointment. I was cleared to shower on POD 3. There are certain restrictions that they will give you. These include no heavy lifting, no bathes, and no high intensity exercise or sports. They will clear you at each follow-up appointment as to when you can resume these activities. They talk fast because they have a lot of patients to see so I recommend writing down/typing as much as you can. It’s imperative you attend these follow-up appointments (I can’t stress this enough). I had stitches removed at the 2-3 week mark. The incisions are at the borderline of your skin and the areolae bilaterally so it’s VERY difficult to identify the incisions from a cosmetic standpoint (even just 1 month out of the procedure). I’m writing this testimonial to give you an idea of what to expect and to give the praise Dr. David Azouz and Dr. Solomon Azouz deserve. They’re both excellent surgeons and I recommend that they treat your gynecomastia. I chose them specifically after researching their website, reading their biographies, and reading google reviews (which most of them are 5-stars that attest to their greatness I might add). Therefore I hope that this review will allow you comfortably select Dr. David Azouz and Dr. Solomon Azouz as your surgeons of choice. I love these guys and I’m extremely grateful they did my surgery. More than anything I can’t wait to stop wearing my compression garments and wear fitted shirts without having to wear a compression shirt underneath. Overall, I’m satisfied with the outcome and I can’t wait to completely enjoy the benefits of this procedure.

Abdominoplasty & hernia repair for sagging after 130lbs weight loss

After being overweight for most of my life, the toll it had taken on my body was very evident. Even after I lost 130 lbs, I was left with persistent gynecomastia, a saggy stomach, and hernia. Drs. David and Sol Azouz we’re awesome and they helped me take that final step to achieve my goals. I had gynecomastia surgery in September 2021 and had abdominoplasty and hernia repair in December 2021. Throughout it all they provided awesome care. They called many times to check on me, scheduled frequent follow ups. and on the couple of occasions where I sent an email they called almost immediately- at no time during the process was I ever left to worry about anything. The fact that there were two doctors allowed them to be available, collaborate on the best results, and shorten my surgery time. They were both always straightforward, caring, and in-synch. And talk about results! I can wear clothes that I could never wear, my weight loss finally shows, and I am more confident. Being overweight since I was in elementary school, I never imagined having the body I now have. They literally ended 40 years of insecurity. I am forever grateful for their help!

Great Surgeon for Men

Definitely would recommend Dr. David and Solomon Azouz for me with gynecomastia. My chest is now flat again and I can now fit clothes in my closet that I haven’t worn in years! This is the second time I’ve had this procedure in 2 years. The first surgeon didn’t know what he was doing and this time my research paid off. Highly recommend!
