Hi everybody!
I am a 52 years old woman who has always perceived herself as a 25 years old young lady - body, mind and spirit at least… LOL. My passion for learning new trends, practicing healthy habits and nurturing my soul with art, music, motivational writings, and my love for nature and the simple pleasures of life have kept me relatively young in those aspects.
I have always felt blessed for the amazing times lived - my peaceful childhood in the sixties, exciting adolescence in the seventies and young adulthood in the unforgettable eighties till today. At this wonderful stage of my life I was grateful for the wisdom, confidence and savoir-faire that only the passing years gave me but they were also leaving an ageing trace on my face… to my distaste.
During a long time I had been flirting with the idea of plastic surgery but fear had been greater than desire. However I decided to face it once for all and three months ago I had a mini lift, neck lift and upper and lower blepharoplasties.
To sculpt my new self I trusted the superb hands of Dr. Eric T. Adler from Adler Facial Plastic Surgery, San Juan, PR.
My surgery was performed with the most advanced medical technology in his beautiful Adler Medical Plaza. For added peace of mind, he has a Board Certified Anesthesiologist in his team, Dr. Yimar Berrios, another excellent professional and human being. The nurses, medical aesthetician, and administrative staff are also very professional and pamper you as if you also were an artist. There was no pain during the procedure, or after recovery, only minimal discomfort alleviated with two Panadol only when I needed them. The healing process has been very quick.
I am so thrilled with the results that sometimes it seems to me the 25 years old young lady is back … can see her glance in the mirror again and I'm absolutely loving it!

out of curiosity I looked for some old photo albums to find a pic of mine when I was 25 years old. I had so much fun doing these side by side photos to celebrate my birthday.
I hope nobody can recognize me ... lol!

Yes ... I knew all the beauty tricks, but the day I woke up of the dream and realized I was no more the Sleeping Beauty no matter how healthy or well rested I was, or how deliciously pampered with expensive "lifting" creams,
I also knew it was time for more radical tricks ...
the lower eyelids blefaroplasty ...
to get rid of excess skin, and unwanted eye bags which I had been prone to develop since very young ... so young that at 26 years old I had to have my first lower eyes blefaroplastiy ... that lucky, I guess I will have to blame it on my father's genes!
what about the upper eyelids? ...
the drooping uppereyelids - my mother's legacy - although I knew were giving me a sad aspect, initially were not a major concern for me ... however very subtly my surgeon suggested it's blefaroplasty. I must say I was a little reluctant to the idea ... now I am so happy I followed his recommendation since he did such a beautiful work ... those after photos tell it all!
So why not having it all?
And yes ... "there is magic but you have to be the magician too", so here are some befores and afters of the eyes work, some completely au natural ... others with the MAGIC of makeup!

with passing years my neck was showing a tendency to develop a dramatic flaccidity that was certainly giving away my age ... to my distaste!
I remember that when I was a young lady many people told me that my neck was long and elegant like the neck of a swan. What happened to that beautiful swan neck? ... Unexpectedly it became an ugly turkey neck!
Well, it seems to be that for some of us what seems to be a blessing can also become a curse, LOL.
It was enough for me, so at 52 years old I finally decided that it was the right moment to address those neck issues ... better sooner than later.
Afterall, a beautiful swan neck is a blessing ... STILL!
