Hi everybody!
I am a 52 years old woman who has always perceived herself as a 25 years old young lady - body, mind and spirit at least… LOL. My passion for learning new trends, practicing healthy habits and nurturing my soul with art, music, motivational writings, and my love for nature and the simple pleasures of life have kept me relatively young in those aspects.
I have always felt blessed for the amazing times lived - my peaceful childhood in the sixties, exciting adolescence in the seventies and young adulthood in the unforgettable eighties till today. At this wonderful stage of my life I was grateful for the wisdom, confidence and savoir-faire that only the passing years gave me but they were also leaving an ageing trace on my face… to my distaste.
During a long time I had been flirting with the idea of plastic surgery but fear had been greater than desire. However I decided to face it once for all and three months ago I had a mini lift, neck lift and upper and lower blepharoplasties.
To sculpt my new self I trusted the superb hands of Dr. Eric T. Adler from Adler Facial Plastic Surgery, San Juan, PR.
My surgery was performed with the most advanced medical technology in his beautiful Adler Medical Plaza. For added peace of mind, he has a Board Certified Anesthesiologist in his team, Dr. Yimar Berrios, another excellent professional and human being. The nurses, medical aesthetician, and administrative staff are also very professional and pamper you as if you also were an artist. There was no pain during the procedure, or after recovery, only minimal discomfort alleviated with two Panadol only when I needed them. The healing process has been very quick.
I am so thrilled with the results that sometimes it seems to me the 25 years old young lady is back … can see her glance in the mirror again and I'm absolutely loving it!

Your neck was pretty good before! My was terrible, lol

Hahahah Mariposa ...some before pics didn't show my neck's laxity very well but the reality was that gravity and years of yo-yo dieting had taken its toll on it ... to my distaste! I will post more pics very soon that show the dramatic changes in my lower face and neck. Keep in touch!

What would you say was the most difficult part of your mini lift journey?

July 18, 2015
Hi Angie, thanks for your interesting question, I'm very glad to answer it. I would say the most difficult part was to manage the fears and anxities of the pre op days. You know ... all the unrealistic fears about the unknown, possible pains or secondary effects, unthinkable results ... you name it. Thanks God, staying positive, reading testimonials and relevant info in your site, and trusting my surgeon and anesthesiologist's instructions I could manage it. So the day of surgery, I was so relaxed that even enjoyed the procedure as a great learning experience. The post op days were not difficult just a little uncomfortable. Normal swelling and bruising, but so happy for the results. Also very proud for the courage to make my wish come true. Blessings.

Great healing for 6 weeks! I am on week 5 , I gave small bumps in front of my ear and still a little bit hard on my double chin, thanks God that the sensation is coming little by little!

Yes ... at three months I still have some numbness and hardness in front of my ears and some tightness in my eyelids. Eventually you will get accustomed to it. My doctor says it is completely normal. Remember ... everything is going to be ok!
