I had a “mini tummy tuck” done with Dr. Joel Maier at Advanced Laser and Cosmetic Surgery in Cincinnati, Ohio. The procedure consisted of removing excess skin (skin incision) on the lower ab and lipo on the entire ab region. It’s been three months and I’m simply thrilled with the result. I didn’t think it would be this amazing! Dr. Maier and his team are simply the best! My entire experience has been extremely positive. Dr. Maier and his staff are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Dr. Maier personally called to check on me post-op. Pain was minimal and easily controlled. I love the results! I feel much more connected to my core. I did rent a lift chair and used a walker for the first week which helped with getting up for the bathroom. Also, preparing about a week of meals ahead of time is a good idea.

At 52, I finally got a breast augmentation and I love the results! I had zero hesitation booking my augmentation with Dr. Maier after our initial consult. I didn't want to be huge. Just a natural fullness to regain what I used to have prior to nursing 3 babies. I initially settled on 325 saline implants. During the surgery Dr Maier said the left breast was looking strange at 325 so he settled on 310. They are perfect. Literally, not even my grown children have noticed!!They look so natural. We just got back from a beach vacation and this was the first time in my life I felt sexy in a bikini. Even better in a one piece suit! All of my clothes just look better without having to go to great lengths to add padding. I was able to toss out a ton of padded inserts in all my workout bras, tank tops and bathing suits. Love it and highly recommend Dr Maier! One more thing which is so tiny but meant a lot to me...when getting prepped for surgery I was offered disposable underwear!! I am very private so that made me VERY happy!

I am 2 weeks post-op full tummy tuck. I didn't have a lot of loose skin, so I have a small vertical scar. I did have a very wide and long separation of my rectus muscles. Dr. Maier did a fantastic job! He used a long acting pain medication around my abdomen. After the first day, I didn't need anything stronger than Advil. I feel fantastic, 10 years younger! My core muscles feel so connected and stable. I didn't realize how my activities were impacted until I had this done. I wish I would have done it sooner! Dr. Maier is very down-to-earth, caring and honest. He helps you be realistic in what you can expect before, during and after surgery. He called me the day after surgery to check on how things were going. If you are considering tummy tuck surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Maier!!

Dr. Maier listened to my concerns and did not push additional services. He was gentle, reassuring and accessible by cell phone and email. He prepared me with what to expect with my final result and I am extremely happy with the outcome. My healing was incremental and took a solid 9 weeks but was on track for the procedures and my age (55). The scarring is continuing to heal. I look and feel remarkably better in my cloths as my heavier, larger sagging breasts always made me feel uncomfortable. The lipo around the bra roll is a must in combination with the breast lift.

I would highly recommend Dr. Maier. He was very professional and I could not be happier with the end result! He did not over sell you, or encourage you to do more. He was very straightforward and I could not be more pleased.

Dr. Joel Maier was the third plastic surgeon with whom I had a consultation and I knew he was the one I wanted to go to after meeting with him. I researched this procedure for almost a year and finally felt ready to get it done. I was nervous but he and his staff made me feel comfortable, informed and were there to answer any question I had pre and post operation. I love my results. The downtime/soreness is 100% worth it. If I ever need a revision, I will happily go through with it again and with Dr. Maier.
