37yo…2 Kids…Finally I had the courage to move forward and getting my normal body back!
I have been dealing with a loose vagina for many years. After I gave birth to my 2nd baby, I felt like my vagina was destroyed. I felt so loose and I been dealing with it for years. I was always scared to get the surgery because it seemed very expensive and I was so embarrassed to even say it. I got into an argument with my partner & he called me loose, it hurt so bad because I knew something changed after birth, but to have my partner throw it in my face, really took a jab at my self esteem. I knew I had to start looking up doctors. I just couldn’t continue being so unhappy for years. trying to squeeze my vagina during sex to feel some pleasure, when I’m squeezing I would sometimes pee a little on myself. I initially was going to book out the country but decided it would be too much hassle with such a delicate area. I searched for years and I came across Dr. Patel on RealSelf. I did a lot of research on her and her prices are so good compared to other places. It wasn’t really the price at this point because I had to get this procedure, it was finding a good doctor. Her office is located about an hour away from my home, so I booked a consult.

During my consult with Dr. Patel, she made me feel very comfortable and after checking me, she knew exactly what needed to be done and she explained everything in detail. I told her all the embarrassing things We are all scared to say out loud. I decided right away I wanted her to do my surgery. I couldn’t let this ruin my sexual life and self esteem any more.

I requested 2 weeks off from work to ensure I get enough time off to recover. I waited all these years to get this done. I did not want to ruin my results by any means.

Surgery day is here! I was a nervous wreck when I arrived for my surgery. The nurse assisted me with taking my pills and she made me feel at ease! I was up during the procedure, which lasted about an hour and a half. I felt the initial needle pinch and after that I literally didn’t feel anything. I spoke with Dr.Patel during the procedure and boom I was done! I’m telling you the ladies that work here are so kind and sweet. After the procedure the nurse went over all the post op instructions again and gave me a direct phone number to Dr.Patel in case I had an emergency I would be able to reach her at any time.
Once I got home there was some blood, which the office advised is normal. I continued to use ice pack and my pain meds. After a couple of hours I felt a lot of pressure in my private area (I guess the pain killers during surgery worn off) I called the office and advised me what to do. The first couple of days make sure to take your pain meds on time! Trust me.
I was on bed rest most of the time for the first week. I got up only to use the rest room and shower.

I forgot to mention I did vaginoplasty and perinoplasty. During my last childbirth I had an episiotomy and wasn’t seen up properly. I live about 1hr away driving. My partner drove me for surgery and my first follow up. After that I was able to drive.

I purchased a hemorrhoid pillow for my car ride home after surgery.



I am currently 4 weeks post op. I saw Dr. Patel twice so far. The first follow up was 2 days post, just to make sure everything looks good. The second follow up was a 2 week post. I asked Dr.Patel to check the stitches inside me to make sure I didn’t pop anything and I was able to feel the one finger she used to check me!! I was 3-4 fingers before my surgery (TMI). Recovery is smooth so far.

The office filled out some paper work for my job so I can get short term disability pay. The girls at the front desk are always so helpful and kind. My request and paperwork was filled out right away. I also called other times with questions and I was always helped right away and the front desk girls ensured me to call anytime. I feel so welcomed by the office and when I contacted Dr.Patel on her direct line. If you’re reading this review, Don’t wait book your consult with Dr. Patel (it’s free) once you meet her I promise you will not be disappointed. She has such a kind spirit to her. When I go for my appt, I feel like I’m speaking to one of my best friends. She does a lot of vaginoplasty and you can literally ask her anything. She will make you feel so comfortable. Amazing experience right from my consultation. Dr Patel is extremely down to earth, informative and knows her stuff. From the first time I met Dr. Patel and her staff I was truly impressed. She’s down to professional, very personable and informative. I had a labiaplasty and perineal repair done by another doctor. It wasn’t done properly and I was very distraught looking for a surgeon to help me and do a revision. I couldn’t find a doctor who was confident that anything could be done to fix the situation. At the consultation with Dr. Patel I had a lot of questions but she answered the majority of them before I even had to ask as well as inform me of pros and cons for each option. She made me feel like she was a friend looking out for my best interest and truly cared.
I put great trust in Dr. Patel and thankful I did. Everything went smoothly and I’m very happy with the outcome. During the procedure I was awake and numb. I didn’t experience any pain at all and she spoke to me throughout the surgery as well as keep me comfortable and even smiling. After the surgery I was brought into the recovery room where her staff was extremely friendly, caring and professional. Dr. Patel checked on me too. The recovery wasn’t bad. I had some mild pain and swelling which was to be expected. I was surprised because the surgery I had with previous surgeon was a painful recovery and much different overall. Dr. Patel also gave me her cell phone number to contact her if I needed to ask questions or had concerns during the healing process. This was very comforting as well.

First let me start by saying DR. Patel is “The Goat” .Very straight forward in her approach with surgical questions , doesn't sugar coat anything , Yet she’s very pleasant and takes time to answer all you’re questions and explain everything she’s doing . Vaginoplasty surgery went well , I honestly didn’t feel hardly anything except little pinches . , I felt very relaxed and safe , we actually talked and sang the whole time lol. Whenever I had any feelings of discomfort, Dr. Patel quickly attended to it. The surgery can get painful Post op when the numbing wears off , it’s no walk in the park I will say that. The office staff checked on me in my hotel, so I felt good knowing they were monitoring . Office Staff girls are Amazing , top tier. They know their stuff. They were all very professional, and friendly , I had an Easy , pleasant experience with scheduling surgery , and easy payment process. I just picked up very good vibes here and that’s important to me when getting any types of procedures done . I am very pleased with how the kitty looks now as well! Lol. I highly recommend Dr. Patel. Far Exceeded my expectations!
