I Could Not Ask for Better Care Than I Have Received from Dr. Copeland and His Staff.

Dr. Copeland and his staff are excellent. Dr. Copeland explained everything very thoroughly regarding my surgery. He does excellent work. I am very happy with the results. I could not have asked for better treatment from Dr. Copeland and his staff. They have been very kind, patient and caring throughout the whole process from the very day I first stepped in to their office. I was pretty devastated by my diagnosis which led me to their office. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I would recommend Dr. Copeland and his staff to anyone needing a procedure. I feel very blessed to have been given excellent treatment and care throughout the whole process. If anyone ever needs a plastic surgeon I highly recommend Dr. Copeland. I don't think I have ever received better care from a doctor and his staff before.

Best Decision Ever - Dr. Copeland!

Dr. Copeland does amazing work!~ He performed a breast reduction and I had no idea how happy I would be with the outcome. He is trustworthy, answers all your questions & gives you enough time with each visit, that it feels like you are his only patient. I trusted his judgement as he explained he would remove the amount of tissue that made my bust proportionate to my body size. I had so much back & neck pain, that I had just become accustomed to. Not anymore! I am amazed everyday how much my life has changed since my surgery. He is very professional along with all of his staff. Everyone is kind and work hard to make you feel comfortable.

I had breast reduction surgery in January 2017. I was very impressed with Dr. Copeland and his office staff. I felt that at my initial consult, Dr. Copeland took his time with me and was very thorough explaining the surgery and healing process. The office staff is very responsive and making appointments are quick and easy. I could not be more pleased with my results and follow up care. I would highly recommend Dr. Copeland to anyone.

Panneculectomy and Abdominalplasty - Saint Louis, MO

After losing over 100 pounds, I had a lot of excess skin. The only option to get rid of it was through the above surgical procedures. It was a pretty extensive procedure, and Doctor Copeland did a phenomenal job taking off all the excess skin that I had been saddled with all my life and especially after the weight loss. After total healing, he performed a few "tweaks" last week to finish his work, and for the first time in my life I look and feel "normal". I couldn't be more pleased with his work, compassion, gentleness, bedside manner and professionalism. He and his staff are true professionals, and treated me with total respect and understanding when it came to my body perception. I would highly recommend Dr. Copeland to anyone needing this surgery. Thank you Dr. Copeland and also to all your staff!!!

29 Year Old 2 Kids! - Saint Peters, MO

Two years after having my second child, I was ready to have my breasts back to there rightful place. I have always been an athletic person and my pendulous breasts were interfering with my ability to both run/swim and breath (anxiety). I was even starting to develop some of the upper back pain that my mom has. I had surgery yesterday, and wow, just wow. I already feel so much lighter. For the most part the pain is not bad (though I do still need the occasional Percocet). I can't wait to see the final result! Updated on 21 Nov 2016: Updated on 28 Nov 2016:

My Breast Implant Removal Journey - St. Louis, MO

It has been 10 days since my decision for breast implant removal and I am confident in saying that I definitely made the right decision. My story leading up to this decision is one that I am sure you will agree on: I'm 46-years old and had silicone implants 22-years ago size 325 cc. I had them replaced with saline as I found out that my left implant had ruptured. No one knew how long it had been like that, I was just told that it was a slow leak. I went with larger implants, size 475 cc and 3 months after my new implant surgery, I developed a most painful capsular contracture in that very same side and had to undergo surgery again. 8 months later, the same thing happened again. It has been so painful. My left side was completely hard as a brick. I haven't been able to lay prone or sleep on my side for 3 years because of it. I was completely fed up with having them and started searching for surgeons. My friend referred me to a surgeon and I scheduled a consultation right away. The only concerns we had was that I was so petite, (size 0) and my implants were very large, AND having them for 22-years was a worry of mine concerning deformity, saggy droopy skin. I am a group fitness trainer, have always been in fitness and eat very healthy. My doctor said that it showed and that he thought the results would be promising. He opted to do the most minimalist of surgery, no mastopexy and no lift. To re-iterate, it has been 10 days since my removal and my doctor is still shocked at how a woman with such a small frame as I have, could ever hold such large, implants of 475 cc. Now, I do say that I've had 3 1/2 years to contemplate having this done with a lot of reading up and educating myself on this procedure. I knew that I could be deformed as tiny as I am. I knew that having implants for so long causes muscle atrophy and a diminishing of existing breast tissue, and I have experienced a little of both. HOWEVER, my results are astounding! Yes, I am probably a 30AA but I'm so glad and happy at what my doctor has accomplished for me. I've been given a second chance to get myself healthy, feeling better AND I don't have to worry about brick hard, encapsulated foreign objects in my chest any longer. I had my second follow up last Friday, April 13 and did find that my breast tissue on each side was buckling a bit, so we are taping them up and keeping my chest bound with a tight fitting bandeau velcro girdle. Every time I shower and look at the area, I am seeing improvement in the puckering. I am so very glad that I did it. I plan to go through a cleansing detox six weeks from now to make sure I can rid any toxins from my body and can't wait to get back to the gym and train again. The pros are: I get my life back, plan to be healthier and enjoy my life pain-free for once. The cons, if you can consider this one: No implants for me. I am a size 30AA and have lost a considerable amount of breast tissue BUT my husband is so thankful that I'm feeling better and to him that all that matters. I'm thankful that I have a husband that loves me so much that appearance has never really mattered to him. I hope my story can help those that are contemplating the same procedure. Everyone's case scenario is different and it's important to get a doctor who is willing to go over everything with you before hand. You will have to take these things under consideration: How large your implants are, your present size, how long you've had your implants, if you need mastopexy or lift afterwards at a later time, etc. Good Luck to those who consider this procedure. I did it and will never regret it!

Tomorrow is the BIG Day - Saint Louis, MO

I am a 30 year old mother of 4. I am 5,6 and 129 lbs. I have always been a 36A and have been waiting for this for the last 10 years. Tomorrow is the BIG day. It is 10:00pm and I am scheduled for surgery at noon tomorrow. I have decided to go with mid range 350cc cohesive gel implants under the muscle. My best friend used this surgeon for her augmentation and my sister works for him so hopefully I am in the best hands I could find. I did previously interview Dr's 2 years ago. After spending the last 10 years having babies I have decided it is time to do something for me. I am hoping and praying I love my results and that it is all worth it. I am not really nervous just excited. I will be posting before and after pics in the days to come. I did decide to go with the pain pump because I do not want to regret not having it. Wish me luck! Results to follow..... Updated on 8 Mar 2012: So I am now 24 hours post op. I was able to sleep all night and most of the day today. I have a pain pump and the pain is not too bad as long as I stay on top on the Percocet. I woke up in a lot of pain a 3am 6+ hrs since I had taken anything. But as soon as I took the pain medicine I was fine in about 30 min. The docter ended up going with 371cc mid range (Style 15 Natrelle Cohesive Gel) under the muscle and incinsion at nipple. I can not wait to see the results after everything settles and the bandages are off. The surgery took 2.5 hrs and the only discomfort I had after surgery was the tightness in my chest. Nurses instructed to take deep breaths which actually felt good cause it did relieve some tightness. So far I think it will be sooooo worth it. I will post pics as soon as I am a little more with it...

Consultation: Loopholes in cost

I called two weeks prior to making an appointment with this office for a consultation, and had a bad experience with the front desk. My consultation was for Breast implant placement at time of Mastectomy. After a mammogram at Missouri Baptist I was told that I have thick breast tissue and that I am a higher risk for breast cancer. I called this office and explained my situation and the lady on the phone said that she just had a client a couple weeks ago in the same scenario that was approved through insurance for the procedure. She was unsure if the implant could go in immediately because there was many factors that determined that. She asked what my insurance was and I said United healthcare and she proceeded to tell me that they are out of network for this insurance and that there would be some out of pocket costs after surgery. We made an appointment two weeks out, and I marked it on my calendar. Two days prior to my appointment the office had called me twice. Once to bump my appointment to 30 minutes later, and one call to make my appointment back to its original time. At the time I didn't really think anything of it, but later realized the lack of communication within this office. When I arrived to my appointment the lady informed me that my consultation today would be a percentage of my deductible which would be 191 today. If I didn't want to try and use insurance than my cost would be 75.00 today. I have never once paid for a consultation in my life, and was appalled by the cost especially since I was not told this prior to my appointment. With so many unknown variables : Am I a candidate for this procedure, will this be covered by insurance, what is the cost of this procedure- its interesting to see that this doctor charges an upfront fee especially since whether this will be covered by insurance is unknown. "Since we are going to try and send this through insurance you will pay an additional 116.00 today". This experience honestly put a very bad taste in my mouth. If they are not going to be forthcoming on charging an consultation than what else are they not going to inform me about? The interesting thing is that if I needed to I could probably pay for this complete surgery in full, but due to the way the office is ran and lack of communication they lost a possible future patient.
