Amazing I always felt very comfortable and in very good hands she took her time and listen and responded to everything I said we would joke around a lot laugh a lot and smile a lot she even took my last minute changes that I would make and did them with no problem she did a perfect job way more perfect than a lot of other doctors work that I have seen. She even reminded me of how I was singing The Rolling Stones song Angie which my name is Angela just after sedation and getting ready for surgery LOL she is an amazing amazing woman doctor and friend not a personal friend but one I can definitely call my friend.
I have had big beasts since I was very hung and they always seemed to define me. This procedure is for my psyche as much as my physical appearance/health. Despite the wound issues that I am currently having I thnk that I will be happy with this procedure once it's all said and done. Dr Ganos is awesome! Updated on 24 Jan 2015: Updated on 24 Jan 2015: As you can see in my photos I had some serious opening of the incision sites. On 1/16 I had revision surgery and I have attached photos of the area after that procedure. I will have some minor scarring but overall I'm feeling really good. I also attached a pic of the first time I got to wear a real bra. I'm very happy with the way they look 6 weeks out op.
Here I go again. First, I had a breast reduction last year September (2014). Now, I have a scheduled date for an abdominoplasty next week (March 12, 2015). I'm very excited! My journey started in 2013 when I had WLS, since then I have lost 70lbs. With the weight loss comes excess skin... My tummy have an overhang which I quite annoying and irritable. I have decided to go thru with the surgery and regain my confidence. Updated on 12 Mar 2015: I had my surgery yesterday, Tuesday March 12, 2015. So far so good! My surgery began at 11:30 am and I was done and was done around 4pm. My surgeon prescribed me vicodin and a muscle relaxer for pain. I have tubes for drainage which has to be changed twice a day. The results from the anesthesia is still kicking in. I was released to come home around 5:45pm. My wonderful husband is my caregiver. He has my recovery area at home nice and comfortable. I'm sleeping on a recliner on the main level of my home because my bedroom is upstairs. I will post pictures soon. Updated on 28 Mar 2015: For my 5 day status update: Followed up with my PS and she removed my drains (yea!!!). Also, she said no need to bandage the scars, instead allow the area to heal (and the protective sealant to come off naturally). Once the drainy wounds began to heal, I can remove bandage and begin to apply antibiotic ointment. My "original" navel had a few stitches as a result of the TT. Continue to wear binder for compression. So far so good! Updated on 28 Mar 2015: No significant changes from my Day 5 status, just a few pictures to add. Also, my stitches in my belly button was so tight, that it appears to be sunken deeply (especially on my left side).
I'm scheduled for a BR next week, Tuesday, September 23rd. I'm very excited (and a tad bit nervous) to finally have my reduction. I have always had big boobs which has caused me to have back, shoulder, and neck pain. My bra size is 38DD; with my BR I should reduce my cup to a C/D. I found workouts a bit challenging due to these big boobs. I'm so ready for this change :) Updated on 21 Sep 2014: A few pics of me before my surgery. I was given Scrub Care to shower with the night before and morning of surgery. Updated on 22 Sep 2014: Ok... I was told that someone from my surgeons office will call me the day before my surgery date. Well, it's 1:00 pm EST and I yet to receive a call. Considering that the office closes in 4 hours, your would think I would hear something by now. Maybe it's me, but this is not sitting well with me. Also, I called her office and got the voice mail... WOW. Updated on 23 Sep 2014: Today, I'll be heading to the hospital for my BR surgery. Thx u for all the support and valuable information provided from this site. I've added a few pic of my Pre and post operation preparation. I'll update as soon as I'm able. Updated on 25 Sep 2014: Surgery went well. It was a 3 hour process. As of now, I haven't seen them yet. My PS did not use drains; however there has been some bleeding on my right side. I'm looking forward to taking a shower today and re bandaging them. Updated on 25 Sep 2014: A few pics before and after my procedure. The good, the bad, the ugly. Updated on 25 Sep 2014: Today, I was able to shower. I was kinda nervous especially with the tape, but everything went well. I used hibiscusclens and dial soap. The water actually felt great. My hubby said he noticed a drastic change... lol. Well yeah, considering they hung down to my waist. Updated on 26 Sep 2014: Just looking at this comparison from DDD to ? (Looks like a C/D). Feels like 100 pounds lifted off my chest. Updated on 26 Sep 2014: This morning , I've taken my last hydrocodone-acetaminop pill. I will now began my regimen of Tylenol 3. My left breast is a lil swollen causing my bra to feel a bit tight. I'm using an ice pack to reduce the swelling and soreness . Now I'm waiting on hubby to assist me with showering. Any suggestions regarding swelling & soreness is appreciated. Updated on 28 Sep 2014: Feeling better, just bursts of fatigue, a little swelling & body soreness. Nothing major in terms of the normal expectations. I've noticed a drop of blood in my urine everytime I use it. My follow up appointment is Tuesday (9/30) morning, i will see if the bleeding is normal and on my healing progress. My diet consists of small portions of food; I don't have a big appetite. I eat pineapples everyday and drink plenty of water. Updated on 30 Sep 2014: Today, I had my one week follow-up with mu surgeon. Everything went well in terms of the healing process. There were no infections or issues with the desolvable stitches/glue are beginning to heal. The swelling is going down, and the left breast is larger (perhaps more swollen). So far, I am satisfied with the results. Updated on 1 Oct 2014: On my road to recovery... I'm trying out a few products to assist me in the healing process. For constipation (Senna Plus pills), I took some yesterday and *wha laa* I finally had relief this morning (after week long constipation). Benadryl is used for the itching I've had (doctor said perhaps from the prescription drugs). Bacitracin w/ Zinc was used to prevent infections. Lastly, I began using Silicone Scar Sheets that I purchased from Target. I will provide an update of all of my supplements I'm using later. Updated on 15 Oct 2014: Now that I'm in my forth week post operation, I feel pretty good. The healing process is in full effect now; I've had quite a bit of itching in my breast due to the healing. Most of my stitches has dissolved and the swelling have gone down. I'm able to wear other sport-type bras, I bought a few comfy ones last week. I notice that my left breast is bigger than my right; which before surgery was the other way around. But, i won't complain. My back and shoulder pain is no longer an issue for me. I'm loving the choice of having my BR. Updated on 19 Oct 2014: Here are a few pics of my boobies. As you can see the healing is coming along just fine. I've been wearing the Silicone Scar Sheets that I've purchased from Target for $14.99, they are an 8-week treatment. Overall, I'm feeling pretty good. Tomorrow, I'm going to call my P'S because today I noticed a couple of little stitches that did not desolve. I tried to pull them out myself... ouch! But that didn't work. Updated on 25 Oct 2014: Okay, after realizing it wasn't a good idea to pull out the absorbable sutures; I went to my P'S office on Friday, October 24th. The nurse was able to clip the excess and send me on my way... pain free I might add ???? Updated on 13 Nov 2014: On November 11, 2014 I had a follow-up appt w/ my PS, and I'm very pleased w/ my results. She informed me that I do not have to sleep in bras anymore. And that I can get sized for a "regular" bra now. She said to away from under wire bras. I'm so excited with my results and progress thus far. Updated on 9 Feb 2015: I'm still pleasantly pleased with my BR surgery. 18 weeks later, I notice the size of each breast seems to be forming / evening out nicely. Occasionally, I feel a little tingle in them which I expect will go away eventually. Here are a few pics.
I've only had this two weeks ago. I am not getting better. I feel like my tummy is too tight. I don't think I can breathe. I feel like I have an infection as one area is leaking and I am hot/cold hot/cold hot/cold. My surgeon says to let it leak. I am but the area is getting bigger. It has blood and puss coming out of it. Should I go to ER? What should I do? Updated on 18 May 2014: Thank you for the advice all. I did go to ER. The PS on call determined that it is a seroma and that I should continue to let it drain. I read about seroma's here and many of the PS said the PS would drain it, however, mine is open, so she is just letting it drain, this is messy and I hope it doesn't last long. She explained my low grade fever could be because I'm having a difficult time breathing as everything is tight right now? She took a culture of the site, and will let me know if it is indeed infected, but her professional opinion told me that she cannot see an infection to the naked eye! My own PS talked to me on the phone and was very stern and seemed upset that I went to ER, but she wasn't helping me and I just DID NOT FEEL GOOD! I still do not feel good, although I tried to do something rather than sit around and dwell on it today! Further questions... My hunchback is noticable to the max per my 14 year old nephew. I feel so tight and I just cannot straighten up. I think I'm going to rip my stitches that again are just two weeks old. How long before you guys lost your hunchback? Should I just stand up straight now, or wait awhile? And the tightness is uncomfortable to the point that I can only eat very small amounts, such as a protein bar or small serving or oatmeal. I'm not very hungry but know I need my protein etc. How long will I feel so tight? HELP! I'm a disaster! Updated on 6 Aug 2014: My tummy healed nicely FINALLY. It is flat and I am very happy with it. Now I had my arms done, a lift and lipo. WOW does this hurt. They want me to elevate them but its so hard. They are very sore, I am uncomfortable. Did anyone have this and can you give me tips on how you got through it and how long until you felt better etc! I look like a mummy with these bandages on and she isn't removing them or the drains until Friday :(
