As a 48 year old woman, I was noticing that my face was appearing rough and had many age spots. I heard about Contour TRL and asked my dermatologist whether it would help. After a consult, Dr Kates considered me a good candidate and reviewed recovery and expectations. Prior to the procedure, the dr applied a numbing cream and I took a pill to relax me. The procedure itself was slightly more painful than expected although I powered through it. Afterwards, I was sore and quite red. Per instructions, I liberally applied Aquaphor several times per day. I also regularly applied cold wet gauze all over my face - which felt great! Over the course of about 3 days my skin peel dramatically. By the 3rd or fourth day, peeling had stopped and I had a clear, smooth complexion with no age spots. My face remained red for a full two weeks appearing like I had a bad sunburn. I am extremely happy with my results and would definitely do it again in a few years as needed.

So i have been getting Botox for years and my insurance stopped covering so, so when i called to schedule an appt they said they got this new machine. SO i signed up. Now, I have had a few cosmetic enhancements in my life. Be prepared to be very swollen - i am on day 5 of being swollen and can not wear some bras and jackets. Other than that i have not noticed sweating - they were also nice enough to go over the section twice

I went to Dr. Kates due to wrinkled skin around my eyes and aging skin on face. He was exceptional! Very patient with all my questions, has a great personality and is clearly an excellent dermatologist. He discussed pros and cons of laser resurfacing so that I knew what I was signing up for. He set realistic expectations and was spot on in regards to timeline for healing. I did proceed with Sciton laser - aggressive around eyes and moderate the rest of face. The laser procedure went well, numbing cream used for about 45 minutes prior plus numbing injections around eyes. I was nervous as I read many reviews on laser that claimed it was very painful. My experience was that it wasn't painful, but I'm not sure if that was due to numbing or the great doctor. My face did feel like I got a sunburn for several hours but then it dulled. I did swell a bit and have some oozing and crusting on day 2 but that was explained upfront and expected. Depending on how aggressive you go, you may want to plan at least a week off. I took 7 business days and that seems like it will be perfect - most of my face was healed by day 3/4. Around eyes needs few more days due to fact we went aggressive I am on day 5 as I post this and have healed very quickly. Full results won't be achieved for a bit as collagen kicks in, but I know I am under great care and confident I will be pleased. I will post updates and pictures. Feel free to ask questions. If it stays like this I will be thrilled! Definitely happy so far.

I went to Worcester Dermatology for filler and botox and could not be happier. Dr. Seth Kates was wonderful, he is extremely talented. I trust him completely, he only does what is needed and I could not be happier. He truly is an artist in his field and I would highly recommend him! I put my trust in him always.
