I am 5 weeks out from my surgery date and it feels a bit surreal. I've always been thin and unhappy with my small breasts. I really only liked the size when I was pregnant and nursing, which left them even smaller and deflated. The real motivator is my stomach. I injured my back in my early 20's and two pregnancies left me very prone to more injuries. I've put in hours of PT for my back and pelvic floor (which did help), but I still have a diastasis recti and a hernia, which can't be sufficiently fixed without the muscle repair. I'm 40, done having children, working out, and ready to feel like a whole person again (and reward myself with some new curves)! Not looking for big boobs - I don't want to completely transform my appearance. I just want to feel great in a bathing suit, tank top, dressing up, etc. I'm scheduled for a full tuck w/ hernia and muscle repair, and am thinking about 200-300 cc's under the muscle.

I think this woman looks perfect. I’d be ecstatic with her boobs, definitely no bigger.

My surgery is tomorrow and I’m having serious cold feet. It will be incredible to feel confident about my body...no matter how good of shape I’m in, this baby pooch isn’t going away. And I’m hoping that the muscle repair will alleviate some of the back pain associated with my unstable core. And I’ve never felt feminine or particularly attractive in a bathing suit and spend a lot of time on the beach so I will be really nice filling out a bikini top.
But with all that I’m nervous, feeling guilty and really anxious that I’m actually going to do this!!! My husband says he can handle he kids during my recovery, but not sure he realizes what it will be like when I am completely unhelpful, and feeling so selfish for opting in to this!

Everything about the surgery went as well as i could have hoped ! I had a good feeling about Dr. Guenther from my first consult, and all of his staff is fantastic. The nurses, anesthesiologist and administrative staff made me so comfortable.I was super nervous the day before surgery and totally relaxed by the time I went into the OR. Dr. Guenther gives you he option of using Exparel, and I highly recommend this! Still pain free on day 2! I opted to stay overnight, and the night nurse was great. I slept comfortably for most of the night with her adjusting my bed, bringing meds snacks and water when needed.
I still haven’t taken off my compression garment, but I did look at my tummy tuck scar placement and am thrilled at how low he was able to make it.
Can’t recommend him enough! Pics coming tomorrow!

Definitely very swollen, but feeling good!

Feeling pretty good! Really no pain to speak of and slept well last night. My swelling is starting to go down a bit but bruising is way worse, between my boobs and below my tt scar. Looking like the bride of Frankenstein.
I’m trying not to get impatient or bummed about the recovery (would love to fast forward 6 weeks to normal) as my husband takes the kids off for their sports today.
I’m going to focus on the next milestone- getting the drain out Monday- and binge watch a new show.

Today I definitely felt like I turned the corner. Still laying low, but more energy and no pain. I took a slow walk outside, which did wipe me out a bit, but the fresh air was nice. My belly is tight, and I’m still standing hunched forward, but it’s improving. The swelling in my stomach has gone down significantly; it’s really from belly button down now.
My boobs are still high and tight, but significantly less than day 1 and 2. I was originally freaked out that I’d gone too big (despite reviews warning me that the swelling is significant at the beginning), but I’m now really excited. The bruising is improving as well, though still pretty rough looking.
I am hopeful that I’ve chosen the right size - nothing too dramatic in most clothes, but way better in bathing suits and dresses.
I’m excited to get the drain out tomorrow!

I went for my post op today, an was pretty bummed that I can’t get the drain out quite yet. Going back in 3 days.
On the plus side, bruising and swelling are down, I’ standing straighter (not quite straight), and my boobs are looking lovely. Still quite stiff and swollen, and I’d be ok with them shrinking a bit (doc says no to bra shop until 3 weeks when he swelling is mostly gone), but I am loving the shape!

2 weeks post op and thrilled! I finally got the drain out, so feel much more normal. Dr. Guenther was great about checking in daily on the fluid levels and even offered to remove it over the weekend when my numbers were low enough. The bruising and swelling is mostly gone except for under my belly button. I’m so happy with the size of my boobs. No one I’ll notice a dramatic difference in work clothes, but I feel incredible in a bathing suit. For those with upcoming surgery, I strongly recommend not to focusing on results in week 1-2, and only focus on your recovery. My boobs felt enormous, tummy was swollen from the bra line down, and the bruising and scarring looks a bit scary. Now I’m in the fun phase of seeing results refine and improve. I got back on the peloton today for an easy ride, which felt awesome. I’m excited to start the silicon sheets on the scars this week.
