I originally booked 3 consults with different doctors. Dr.Kirn was the doctor I saw first and by the end of my appointment I was positive that I wanted him to do my procedure. His entire staff was wonderful (especially Susan!) and the office was beautiful and clean. I felt comfortable and welcome from the time I walked in. The first available appointment for surgery was around a month from my initial appointment, however I had to opt for almost 2 months from my appointment due to planning time off. Booking the surgery was $500, however, this fee was deducted from the overall quoted cost of surgery. Dr.Kirn has an excellent bedside manner, is extremely knowledgeable, and answered any questions I had. The day of my surgery I had another great experience, thanks to Dr.Kirn and the other healthcare providers at the Lexington Surgery Center. I had very minimal pain and only a moderate amount of tightness. I am 7 days post-op and my follow-up appointment is tomorrow. Prior to awakening after surgery, I was wrapped with a soft dressing and wide Ace wrap. I am a registered nurse and I work in surgery at a different facility (inpatient hospital, no plastics) . I can say with certainty I couldn’t have received better care than that provided to me in Lexington. I highly recommend Dr.Kirn! I was around a 36B Prior to surgery (bras never really fit me well enough to pick a definite size due to my breast shape honestly) and I decided on 400 cc silicone, moderate-plus profile implants. I am not sure what size I will be once measured, but am hoping for a very full C or a small D cup. Either way, I am VERY pleased with the results already, regardless of the fact that the implants have obviously not settled yet. Updated on 5 Aug 2020: These pics are all 8 days post-op. Such great results, I am very happy and highly recommend Dr.Kirn! I had the tape dressings changed at my post-op follow-up today. I can now wear a soft cup bra or sports bra, just no underwire. No pain at all at this point, some muscle tightness, but that is honestly very minor. I’m excited to see how the incisions are healing when I can remove the tape in a week! Updated on 10 Aug 2020: Almost 2 weeks post-op and still healing great! Today was my first day back at work and I tried to make sure to take it easy, it went well! I work as an RN, so trying to make sure I don’t lift too much is a little difficult. Updated on 16 Aug 2020: 17 days post-op! This is how my breasts and incisions looked! I am very happy with how they are settling and healing. I’m just doing my massages per my DR and trying to take it as easy as possible for a couple more weeks Updated on 18 Aug 2020: They’re dropping a bit more! I’m still very happy with the results! I’m having no pain and no tightness. I’m still doing daily massages per my DR. They’re starting to feel soft and squishy and I love it!! Updated on 24 Aug 2020: They’re still continuing to drop and my incisions are healing up very nicely! I can’t wait to see what they look like once they fully settle, but I’m still thrilled with how they look right now. It honestly feels like I’ve had them forever, really happy that I haven’t had that feeling of them being “foreign” or “stuck on”. Dr.Kirn did a great job! Updated on 25 Aug 2020: Just some more update photos! Today made 4 weeks since my surgery day. I’m still happy with the look of my breasts and healing progress! I included some pics of my incisions. I am cleared by my surgeon for some of my regular activities (like horseback riding) as long as I have on a supportive bra and I’m not doing anything that’s causing pain. The past month has flown by! Updated on 7 Sep 2020: Tomorrow makes 6 weeks since surgery! It has really flown by. Thankfully, I’ve had no issues with pain or swelling and my chest doesn’t bother me when I do regular tasks at work or in my barn. I actually played tennis today and was surprised to find that my muscles didn’t feel strange at all! I think I’ve just healed up really well. Dr.Kirn did a great job and I think he has a really great technique That helps to produce the best result possible . Updated on 9 Oct 2020: I'm still so so happy with my results. They're a lot softer and squisy now! The scars are small and healing nicely. If anybody has questions, let me know! I'll answer if possible. Dr.Kirn and his staff, along with the staff at Lexington Surgery Center , are spectacular. I can wear a 36D bra, but a 36DD is actually more comfortable! I don't think they look that big, but I LOVE them and I have to say, it feels pretty great buying those sizes and actually filling them out! Updated on 6 Nov 2020: Just another update! Loving my results so much. My scars are a little lighter, but they don't bother me being dark for now anyway because you can't see them unless you're purposefully looking for them. Updated on 23 Dec 2021: Here are some updated bra photos a year and 5 months post-op. I'm still so satisfied with my results and haven't had any issues. I really can't thank Dr.Kirn and his amazing staff enough for all they have done for me!!! Updated on 23 Dec 2021: I forgot to add some update pics for my scars. Scarring has been so minimal and for someone like me, who scars easily, I am so thankful for these results! They are hardly noticeable, even to myself. I used Bio-Oil during my massages and on the scars directly once I was approved to do so by my surgeon. Once I was finished with the massages that are done multiple times a day, I didn't really use any scar treatment. I will still do massages every so often, especially if my chest muscles feel tight or I'm sore after a workout. I will occasionally use oil during this. Updated on 8 Jun 2023: My surgery was 7/28/2020. I am still loving my results and so happy! No issues with firmess of any sort. I have a slight ripple that is visible underneath my right breast when weight training (chest exercises) , but is otherwise not noticeable. If I had to go back and do it all again, I would. 100% worth it. I would like to get bigger implants at some point, if I can! But, in the meantime, I am very satisfied with my results. (:

I am a mom of 3 and had 3 c sections. I also breast fed all 3 and had very deflated breasts. I opted for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I went to Dr. Kirn per a friends recommendation and knew the moment I met him that he is who I wanted to perform my procedure. I am currently only 4 days post op and to it be more please with my entire experience and outcome thus far. His technique and phenomenal ( he does drainless tummy tuck) and the results are life changing for me. I wanted to post a review as when I looked him up on here their weren't many, but he doesn't need them his work is just amazing! I will post more pictures as I heal also. Updated on 10 Oct 2019: I am now one week post op and my recovery has continued to go very smooth. I still have some swelling but I know that will be around for awhile. I almost feel completely back to normal with the exception of bending at the waist. I could not be more pleased and can not recommend Dr. Kirn enough. He and his staff have been phenomenal and the results are life changing for me.

I'm a mom with a lot of kids. Two are still in middle school and although I've always felt I looked younger for my age, the tell-tale signs of aging have hit hard this year. Before it gets too bad, I decided to go ahead and get it done now so that I can enjoy it. Surgery is scheduled for May 23rd. It can't come soon enough! Updated on 22 May 2019: Getting nervous. I am excited, but a little scared at the same time. Not sure how to take my own profile pic, but wanted to have a before. Jowls and thick neck hopefully will be gone. I'll post tomorrow! ######## Updated on 24 May 2019: I was nervous.. ain't gonna lie. :) The nurses hooked me up, doc came in and marked me up and of I went. 5 hours later I woke up feeling very nauseous. I did have to take zofran several times. That evening, when the meds wore off, my neck really hurt..probable between a 7 and 8. Took more Norco than I thought I'd need. Anyway... It's done! Updated on 24 May 2019: After a difficult night of trying to stay comfortable, or get comfortable, I got to get the head strap off. My neck is really tender. Doctor said my physiology made them really have to work the neck muscles to contour. That's why it hurts. Eyes don't hurt, grafting on my belly doesn't hurt, not do my stitches. First time forever to look down without a double chin. Swollen and will be for a while. Pnut butter helped with the nausea. Not too much bruising and the stitching looks crazy good. SHOW MORE Updated on 25 May 2019: Last night I still had a fair amount of pain, but haven't needed to take any medicine in 7 hours. My neck feels really tight and I'm swollen, but I'm surprised my bruising is so minimal. I'm starting to get feeling back in ears and it's a little uncomfortable too. Otherwise, I'm pretty bored. Drinking lots of pineapple juice...maybe it's helping. Updated on 26 May 2019: Today is the day I would be the most swollen. My neck is still sweeten but not a lot of bruising. I can't believe how little my scars/ incisions show by my ears. My neck still hurts a bit, but today is the least pain I've had so far. I've taken metamucil religiously and am so thankful for that advice. I can't get my eye stitches out till Tuesday because of the holiday and that's a bit frustrating. Otherwise, I'm feeling well. Updated on 27 May 2019: I am four days out. I couldn't stand the steri-strips on my eyes yesterday and took them off. They were supposed to come off at Day 3 - but with the holiday weekend - it was pushed back til tomorrow - Day 5. I probably should have not removed them. The scars were still tender. I bought some get strips to place on my eyes and some Genteal gel for my eyes. I still have stitches in the corner of my eyes. Dry eye and neck pain are still the most annoying. My neck is tight, and that doesn't hurt. But I think the doctor really manipulated the muscles in my neck and it feels very bruised. When I look up, it hurts badly and makes me dizzy. At night, trying to find a comfortable sleep position has also been a struggle. My ears are sensitive and the staples right behind my ear has started to irritate - I can't see it so I don't know if it's getting infected. I have stopped my pain meds and drove to the bank and pharmacy today. I had unexpected guests show up at the house and they did not mention anything - so I guess the bruises, etc. aren't terribly noticeable. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow - yikes! Updated on 28 May 2019: I still had stitches in my eyelids (and ear/neck) when I had to return to work today. I wasn't getting anything out until after school - so I wore my hair down and tried to hide everything the best I could. The staples came out (yay - they were beginning to hurt behind my ears) and the eyelid stitches. The ear stitches are dissoluble and will wither up here soon, the doc said. He was pleased with the progress for only 5 days post surgery. Said the swelling will continue to subside - but that can bring wrinkles back with it. Updated on 2 Jun 2019: 10 days out. Most of the scabbing on and behind the ears are gone. I think the doctor must have knicked a spot in the back of my ear, because it still hurts if I pull down the top of my ear. I get heavy neck bands if I do too much and I have a particularly large bump (feels like muscle or hard fat) on the side of my neck. I'm hoping it's just part of the healing. Otherwise, it's wonderful to wake up to a non-sagging face! :) Updated on 12 Jun 2019: Here are my scars less than 3 weeks out. It's pretty remarkable. there is still a lot of numbness on the side of my face and my ears are still numb. I have a little difficulty putting in my earrings because even my earlobes are numb. Updated on 14 Jun 2019: Three weeks out. What I noticed aside from seeing a chin, is that the hollows in my cheeks are gone. My family genes presented that we never had a jaw line.. Even as children. The doctor said he'd never seen so much fat UNDER my neck muscles...that has been there since birth. So, I think this is pretty miraculous! ;) Updated on 17 Jun 2019: My doctor said my scars are way ahead of the game. Maybe it's the aquaphor or pineapple juice, or his surgical skill, I've also been amazed. He said everything was going more quickly than normal. Today he suggested Botox for the scars made in my 'crows feet' by the bleph surgery. Anyway...he did a completely free Botox which he said with the surgery. I wish I could add an extra star for him!! These are some before Botox pics... I'm curious to see what difference it makes.

I had a tummy tuck with liposuction done on my hips. I had an amazing experience, Dr. Kirn has a wonderful bedside manner, I felt completely comfortable asking him anything. His staff was amazing as well, I'm so glad i done this, I've never had any regrets. I am actually scheduled to have more liposuction and fat grafting/transfer and I'm so excited.

After having 2 children via c-section, I had loose skin, a large stomach with stretched muscles and stretch marks galore. Dr. Kirn pulled my muscles back together and removed enough excess skin to make a new belly button. It was great except now I had a small but noticeable mass of fat above my belly button. I called back and the nurse explained that they could go back in a lipo the fat out that was trapped from the TT. I regret not doing it because 5 years later is plagues me. I am going back for more lipo because the outer edges of my TT scar have created dog ears. (I've gained about 10 pounds).

I have hated my stomach since after I had my firs child— 16 years ago. My last child was over 9 lbs and stenches my stomach to the max. After years of living a healthy lifestyle, including weight lifting and eating healthy I can’t get rid of my stomach flab and I’m over it! Updated on 25 Sep 2018: Updated on 18 Oct 2018: The count down is on! I went to my pre op appt yesterday and paid the Surgeons fee! I spoke to my surgeons APRN first who is very sweet and informative. My surgeon came in and pent 30 minutes answering all my questions, giving me my prescriptions and even showed me more before and after pictures (I’m super nervous about my new belly button). I have so far been super impressed with my plastic Surgeon and his staff. 2 weeks from today! ???? Updated on 18 Oct 2018: Updated on 24 Oct 2018: Holy crap! I cannot believe my surgery is 1 week away as of tomorrow! I’m having a full TT with muscle repair and lipo of my flanks. I have a 2cm diastasis and had an astronomical amount of weight gain during my pregnancies. I am 5’3 and 125lb. I am now a week out from surgery and I’ve started to feel a little nervous, I’ve also been having thoughts of, ‘I don’t need this! Why am I wasting all this money! I’m risking my life and well being! What the hell am I doing?!!!’ Then I look at pictures of my stomach pudge and think ‘ I cannot live like this for the rest of my life!!’ I pray it is all worth it, I pray my recovery goes smoothly and that I’m healthy and happy for my family whom I love dearly. Hoping this community provides me with some hope and comfort for ways to come!! Updated on 31 Oct 2018: The past couple weeks I have been more calm than I thought I would be, however today my nerves are kicking in, I haven’t been sleeping as well and my stomach is in knots today! I’m getting nervous but I’m also super excited. I just hope and pray that all goes well and that the outcome will be worth it! Prayers and thoughts would be appreciated! Updated on 1 Nov 2018: On my way to the surgery center ! Can’t wait to be on flat side!! Updated on 1 Nov 2018: The deed is done! I arrived at the surgery center @ 9 and was home by 3:15. One I got there I filled out some paper work and paid the Surgery center and Anesthesiologist fee. I waited a bit then was called back to get prepped. I took a pregnancy test, had my vitals checked and then changed into a hospital paper gown. I was then visited by the anesthesiologist who went over a few things. I I was intubated during the procedure. I received Pepcid and zofran prior to surgery and also had something while surgery for nausea along with some IV antibiotics. Once the Anesthesiologist was all done my PS came in to mark me up, he made sure to go over the details as he marked me and answered all my questions. He did reiterate that I would get a great result and that I was the perfect candidate for this surgery. I really did appreciate his patience and bed side manner. My Nurses were amazing and warm and I felt well taken care of. After ny PS was finished marking me up my husband came back to sit with me for about 15 minutes. He was trying to make me laugh and to ease my nervousness (he really is amazing), I was then given something in my IV to relax me (I think versed), I smooched my DH goodbye and started to be wheeled to the operating room, I feel asleep in about 3 minutes! I woke up in minimal discomfort and was shaking pretty badly, I became a bit nauseous but it quickly subsided with a cool wash cloth and some more meds. My ride home was only about 20 minutes, I did take pillows (one for under my legs and one to hold agony my stomach. I got home and headed upstairs to my power lift recliner (god send seriously). My toilet riser has also been great to avoid engaging my abdominal muscles. I was still pretty tired and kind of out of it but after taking an hour nap I feel much more clear. Can’t believe after all the research ad time spent preparing that I’m finally on the flat side! Can’t wait to see my results! Updated on 2 Nov 2018: Holy soreness Batman! The meds from surgery yesterday have definitely worn off and I’m much more sore than yesterday. Not intense pain probably a 4-5/10. I’ve been taking 1 nucynta every 4 hrs but will probably take 2 when my next dose is due. I’m also on Valium every 8 hrs. I PS’s nurse called today to check on me and told me to change the pads covering my lip areas, which I did. Eating crackers, popsicles and drinking ensure clear for extra protein and calories. Still can’t wait to see my results! I’m not supposed to take my binder off until my postoperative appointment on Monday! Updated on 2 Nov 2018: Updated on 3 Nov 2018: I’ve read a lot of reviews here on RS about back pain after a TT, but I’m having a lot of discomfort on my coccyx area and my hips. I’m super swollen in these areas, sitting down for such long periods makes it worse! I’ve also had 2 spells of faintness and the feeling that I was going to throw up, however thank the lord I didnt! Wrenching a few times sucked! I called my PS and he said to back own to 1 pain pill every 6 hrs and add extra strength Tylenol every 4 hrs. I also have phenergan suppositories which seemed to help the nauseousness. Hoping I’ll get better f better each day! Hate I have to wait 3 more days to see my new tummy!! Happy healing to anyone going through this as well! Updated on 4 Nov 2018: Feeling pretty good so far, I’m sore and my incision line stings a bit (the experal is wearing off no doubt). My powerlift chair, walker and toilet seat riser have been so helpful during these past 3 days! I’m backing off pain meds (taking one every 5-6 hrs) and using ibuprofen (approved by my PS yesterday). My PS did call to check on me yesterday after our discussion on Friday concerning my nausea, I have so far been very impressed by his attentiveness and caring demeanor. My first post op appointment is tomorrow can’t wait to see my results thus far! Updated on 4 Nov 2018: Updated on 5 Nov 2018: Good morning ! I got up much less during the night to pee (my DH was definitely thankful for that). I am much more sore in my abdominal area as the exparel has now worn off completely, its uncomfortable but not unbearable (probably a 4-5) when walking, I only have minimal pain when sitting in my recliner (except for my back, coccyx and hip area). I keep making the joke I’ve got Kim K hips because the my hip swelling. I’m so thankful for my amazing husband and family, not sure how anyone could go through this surgery without a strong support system. I’ve been doing miralax 3 times daily and 1 dose of Colace daily to help get my bowels working, I had a small BM yesterday but hoping that backing off my pain meds will assist in getting my bowels back to their normal routine. All and all I am thankful for my progress thus far! I’ll post pictures today after good op appointment! Updated on 5 Nov 2018: I had my first follow up appointment today, my PS removed my binder and removed my dressings. He provided me a mirror to look at my stomach and I cannot put into words how happy I am with my results. I almost burst into tears however I waited until I got to my car with my husband to do so. My PS informed me my results will only get better from here as I am still pretty swollen. I am happy beyond words! Updated on 5 Nov 2018: Updated on 5 Nov 2018: I haven’t mentioned thrilled sure to eat a lot of fresh pineapple every day the week prior I my surgery, I had read that it helped with bruising from liposuction— my PS did a good amount of liposuction and I had very minimal bruising so if your having lipo I’d give it a try! Updated on 6 Nov 2018: Slept in my bed last night with my legs elevated— it was amazing! I’m almost standing up straight (probably 90%). I’m sore and being very careful not to pull anything but am very happy with my progress at only 5 days post op. I am going to shower today (can’t wait). I’m only taking ibuprofen during the and 1 pain pill at night. I credit not having drains and my amazing PS with my swift recovery thus far. Excited for more progress in my journey! Updated on 8 Nov 2018: I am 1 week post op today. Im doing well, I’ve only been taking pain meds at bed time the past 2 days and have been taking ibuprofen 4 every 6-8 hrs. I can definitely tell when I’m getting close to my next dose because I’m more stiff and my soreness is increased. Valium was great while it lasted but I really not need it anymore. I showered mostly by myself today using my shower chair which was a great accomplishment. I got out of the house yesterday to pick up my daughter from practice and stop by Kroger’s, I’m obviously not walking as gracefully as I thought as I do get a few concerned stares! Oh well! I’m only a week out right!?! So glad I’m not going back I work for another 9 days! I do have rash on my belly that I called my PS’s office about today. It’s not associated with any other worrisome symptoms so the plan is wait and see if it resolves on its own. Still very happy and excited about my results, hoping my belly button continues to decrease in swelling and inverts more (i guess that’s the word I’m looking for). Updated on 12 Nov 2018: Yesterday I had a big increase in my energy level and mobility, getting out of bed by myself finally! I’ve been so thankful for my amazing husband however I hate feeling helpless! My pain is minimal, just sore (especially in my abs and a little on my flanks from lipo) and I’m walking about 90% straight, my back still gets sore and achy if I stand and/or walk too long. Taking showers by myself now, still Iddings my shower chair to avoid over straining my back. I had my second post op appointment today. My PS took my tape off and replaced it with new, he said I could remove it myself in 1 week. He said I look great for only 11 days out. He said I could start wearing Spanx type garments if I want but that it is my preference, he said wearing a CG would not affect my results and that I do not need to wear them if I don’t want to.He also said that here is no real evidence behind using scar therapy, gel, lotion etc, I think that this is amazing and really shows his character, if he had suggested $300 creams I would have bought it! I wanted to know what he removed so he looked and told me that 1.75lbs of skin was removed and 200 ml of aspirate from lipo of my flanks—I really thought it would have been more- he said most patients think the same thing! I am so pleased with my results and recovery so far and cannot say enough great things about my PS!! Dr. Kirn, Lexington, KY. Updated on 12 Nov 2018: Wanted to include my PS said I still have a good amount of swelling below my belly button and that this sometimes takes up to 6 months to improve— if it didn’t I would still be super happy with my results! Can’t wait to start exercising again (light cardio @2 weeks post op and progress slowly and weight lifting @ 6 weeks post op). Updated on 13 Nov 2018: The biggest trouble with fitting in my pre op pants has not been abdominal swelling but hip swelling from lipo! It’s finally going own, but still not completely back to normal! Updated on 18 Nov 2018: I was pretty excited to not have a lot of swelling (other than my hips) post op and was feeling pretty good! But.... then I went back to work yesterday. I did walk a good amount ( I ended the day with more than 7,000 steps- which is way more than I’ve been getting resting at home). I sit a lot at my job however i do have to walk a good amount to get to and from. Unfortunately, I gradually became more snd more swollen and also started to feel a stinging tugging feeling in a few different areas in my abdomen. At first I was worried but then I did some research and this all seems normal for 17 days post op. I’m still wearing my binder because it is more supportive and comfortable than my compression garments. I think this is helping keep my abdominal swelling down. I feel like I may pop but really don’t look THAT swollen in my abdomen, however my Kim K hips are back with a vengeance, the side I favor when I sleep is most swollen. I have also been walking more hunched over (thought that was history) as my swelling feeling increases), not horrible but noticeable. Today was better than yesterday —hoping this means my body is getting accustomed to moving again! I am also supposed to start my period on thanksgiving (in 4 days) which is probably not helping matters, I’m usually a bloated crazy mess sometimes a week before! This seems to all be a part of the healing process but I am so eager to be back to my active, energy filled normal self. Updated on 30 Nov 2018: I’m feeling pretty good, finally sleeping comfortably on my side (thank goodness) and am only taking ibuprofen once or twice a day. I do get sore and a little hunched over by the end of the day but much better than when I first tatted back to work! My hips are still not back o normal — numbness and swelling — I’m definitely wondering when this will be back to my baseline! I’m still wearing my binder (it feels much more comfortable than spanxs). I’ve been back to my normal routine for a while now. I remain super pleased with my results and am thankful for my smooth recovery. With that said, this is not an easy surgery and everyday I have to remind myself that this is a process. Updated on 2 Jan 2019: I am back to Working however I am not back to lifting as heavy as I was before surgery. I am thrilled with my results an would do it over again 100 times. I have gained so much confidence, this is truly the most amazing thing I’ve ever done for myself! I am more confident and comfortable in my own skin than I ever thought I could be! I am thankful to m amazing PS and for this site who provided great information and support!

Ok ladies ... I have been obsessing over this site for the past few weeks and I felt like I needed to document my experience only because I hope I can be helpful to someone just like the rest of you ladies have been helpful to me! Ok so for starters, I am 24 years old and I weigh 125 pounds - 5'5. I wear a 34B currently and I am hoping to wear a 34D. For my first consultation I tried on various sizers and was set on 350cc buuuut then for my second consultation I brought my mom --- which had be convinced that I should go 300cc :))) she's quite modest. I was down for taking my mother's advice until I looked at a lot of reviews on RealSelf and decided I would probably need between 325-350cc to reach my goal (but what do I know - I could be completely wrong). Anyways, after talking to my doctor again over the phone, I decided on 350cc again - once and for all (that is unless you experienced ladies thing I should get something else because I am really nervous about the size!!). So I am two days out before the big boobie day! And Im super nervous. I have never had surgery before and the idea of being put to sleep freaks me out big time. I also realllyyyy hate needles - so even getting an IV is going to be a big deal to me. One thing about my experience that makes me a little different than anyone else's that I have read thus far is I have been diagnosed with Protein S deficiency. This is a protein that is in your blood - basically I am more likely to get blood clots than a normal person. My doctor says this won't be an issue, but it is an additional worry and stress to me. I was just diagnosed with this disorder so I still don't fully know the ins and outs of it. All I know is I got a blood clot once when I played volleyball in college and I bruise really easily -- i suppose this is the reason behind these things, but other than that I don't know how else I should manage the disorder. I am going to see a hematologist sometime later this month so I will have more information then. Any information you can give me to prepare/help/advise me through this process will be greatly appreciated!! :)) Updated on 7 May 2014: Here are some before pics and some wish pics... Kirn again yesterday and feel so confident in everything that's going to happen tomorrow: the surgery, how my blood disorder is being addressed, the anesthesia, the size, etc. he and his staff are AMAZING!
