I'm a mom with a lot of kids. Two are still in middle school and although I've always felt I looked younger for my age, the tell-tale signs of aging have hit hard this year. Before it gets too bad, I decided to go ahead and get it done now so that I can enjoy it. Surgery is scheduled for May 23rd. It can't come soon enough!

Sorry - it cut me off. It really isn't bad. Why are you afraid? I was pretty much up and out after 5 days. It IS expensive - it's not like most of us have $10,000 lying around - but looking at info. - it looks like it lasts for a while - which saves $$ in the long run if you're always getting fillers, etc. Feel free to reach out if you have questions! :)

Yes. Staff gave me some great advice. Suggested I buy cheap washcloths that I can cut into 1/4's. Put them in an ice-water bowl and use those for my eyes instead of the big bags that fall of your face. Also suggested pineapple juice for reduction of bruising. Also an inflatable 30 degree pillow. We'll see how all of those things work. Just a few more days!

Getting nervous. I am excited, but a little scared at the same time. Not sure how to take my own profile pic, but wanted to have a before. Jowls and thick neck hopefully will be gone. I'll post tomorrow! ########

Day of surgery

I was nervous.. ain't gonna lie. :) The nurses hooked me up, doc came in and marked me up and of I went. 5 hours later I woke up feeling very nauseous. I did have to take zofran several times. That evening, when the meds wore off, my neck really hurt..probable between a 7 and 8. Took more Norco than I thought I'd need. Anyway... It's done!
