4 weeks post op - looking good so far

I am 4 weeks post-op with my tummy tuck from Dr. J. Bradley Turner in Lexington Kentucky. I'm still swollen but it's looking good so far. I started embrace for scar treatment of the main incision about 1.5 weeks ago and that looks like it's healing well, but my belly button scar is getting hypertrophic so I ordered some small strips for that too. My c section scar was all hypertrophic, so I knew I was susceptible. Updated on 7 Mar 2023:

$2,870Labiaplasty

iwantbooobs

30 Y/o, No Kids

I've wanted a labiaplasty since I became sexually active. Having been seriously researching the procedure for at least 6-7 years I'm finally doing it. Like every procedure I went to several consultations and decided on Dr. Turner. He could tell I've done my research which I appreciate, the other doctors spoke to me as if I knew nothing about the procedure. He said he typically uses the wedge method to keep the nerve endings intact and to have a natural look. I told him I want the "Barbie" look and he said I'd also be a good candidate for the trim method due to my labia being farther up. He explained the trim technique isn't a good method if the labia is close to the vaginal opening as the scar tissue could create irritation and "hyper sensitivity", something I hadn't considered or read about. I'm beyond excited to have my surgery booked. I'm a little shocked after all these years it's happening. Updated on 5 Aug 2021: My pre-op appointment is tomorrow and I’m so excited be nervous. They said we’ll be taking the before photos, going over my aesthetic expectations, pre-op/post-op care, and I’ll be paying the remainder balance. I took some before photos and I also have my “wish photos” After all the research I’ve done I positively want the “Barbie Trim” method. Which is an aggressive form of the trim method leaving virtually no inner labia. Updated on 5 Aug 2021: My ultimate goal look would have zero inner labia. I think these after photos (found on Real self) are beautiful and the results I’m hoping for. Updated on 20 Aug 2021: Today is the day! I could barely sleep last night with my mind racing of everything I needed to dopier to surgery and just the general anxiety and fear of what's to come. I will be awake for this with local anesthesia. Despite having wanted this for many years I've been having doubts the past couple days. I had a BA in 2014 and had for several years after I regretted my decision and seriously considered removal. So I'm going into this knowing my natural mental reaction will likely be doubt, regret and depression. I'm trying to overcome it and be positive. It took several years but I love my breasts now and think they couldn't look better. My main concerns are: - Painful/ Uncomfortable sex for a while/forever - Rigged edges due to poorly done stitches - Clitoris and Clitoral hood looking more prominent - Nerve damage in clitoral area Obviously the cosmetic concerns aren't as devastating as nerve damage or painful intercourse. - Lastly, Since I'm not doing general anesthesia I will be one of, if not the last patient of the day so I'm nervous of the doctors tiredness and focus. We all get tired at the end of the work day and I have trust in him as a surgeon id just prefer to be earlier in the day or not last lol Updated on 20 Aug 2021: So the actual procedure was so easy and there was minimal pain. In total I was there 2.5 hours. They applied the topical numbing and while that was kicking in I spoke with Dr. Turner again about my expectations/concerns and asked a few questions. In the OR room they gave me a heater and blanket to make sure I was comfortable. The local numbing did hurt a bit, nothing compared to the pain of lip filler. I if you’ve had that I’d say the filler is 3x worse than this. There was one poke on the clitoral hood that was painful but nothing too bad. I brought headphones to listen to and distract myself but ended up not using them. I basically talked to them the entire time asking questions about what they were doing and just chit chat. I felt zero pain at all during the procure. When they used the cauterizer it actually gave me a tickle sensation. So I did feel the slightly but nothing uncomfortable. They let me take pictures of the skin they removed. Which I was interested in seeing lol. When I got home I napped or a few hours. I consider myself to have a very high pain tolerance. When I had my BA I didn’t use any of the pain meds past the first day. The side effects of those were worse than the actual pain. But when I woke up from my nap the pain was pretty severe. I mistakenly went to get a snack downstairs and had the worse pain I’ve ever had for a minimum of 30 minutes. I’ve been awake a couple hours now and the pain meds hav helped but not completely. I do predict I’ll use them for at least two days and see where I’m at. I’m nervous for when I’ll need to go o the bathroom. I’m imaging the pain to be severe. Updated on 22 Aug 2021: So the swelling has increased a lot compared to the night of surgery and day after. The pain is tolerable without the pain meds. I ended up only taking them the day of surgery. If the side effects from the pills weren’t so bad I’d probably still take them. I’m trying to lay in bed as much as possible. Walking and standing as little as possible. I definitely don’t want any tears or stitches coming out. Updated on 22 Aug 2021: I noticed today and last night a thick discharge with a slight color in it. Last night brownish, as if mixed with blood and today slightly yellow. I have regular daily discharge that’s milky and not too thick and today it’s very thick. There’s no smell so I guess that’s good. To me, yellow= infection so I plan on changing dressings more frequently and applying the polysporin cream they provided. Definitely something I want to keep an eye on. Updated on 23 Aug 2021: So there’s significantly more swelling along with a constant secretion of discharge. Every time I go to the bathroom I’ve taken a quick “shower” to clean off. I was using the squirt bottle but the shower for whatever reason is more comfortable for me. It’s also easier than refilling the bottle with warm water every time. So I clean myself after and not even ten minutes later there’s tons of discharge. It’s thick and abnormal but doesn’t smell. I called my doctor and he said as long as it’s coming from my vagina it’s okay. He said with the extra blood flow down there the discharge can vary. Updated on 28 Aug 2021: I’m kind of concerned about how long it’s taking to heal. I work at a restaurant so I’m on my feet 9+ hours a day. I gave myself 10 days off thinking that would be plenty. It’s uncomfortable sitting and standing, going to the bathroom and being on my feet extended amounts of time. The swelling gets really bad by the end of the day making it more uncomfortable. So far the most painful/uncomfortable part has been the stitches poking everywhere. Also I shaved before surgery and the hair going back is very uncomfortable also pricking me. I’d recommend getting a wax before surgery. I tried shaving twice since but couldn’t get everything. I’ve also developed a rash on the labia majors. Not surprising to me as I have very sensitive skin as well as eczema. I’ve been using my eczema cream and that helps. Updated on 16 Sep 2021: All of the pain is gone at this point. I’m crossing my legs again mid bending over normally. It’s sounds dramatic but I really couldn’t bend over normally without feeling I was pulling or pressing on something. I’m obviously still not sexually active. It’ll definitely be a minimum 6 weeks as they recommend but I may go an extra week or two as I want the healing to be undisturbed for as long as possible. During my post op appointment he clipped some stitches. He didn’t take them out but told me they’d eventually loosen and fall out. Most of them have except like two. I had some concerns that the stitches should stay longer. There are some areas that look like they could open back up. He told me that it all looked normal and the skin just needed to toughen over time. I’ve been very gently cleaning with q-tips every day and a light rinse in the shower. The most uncomfortable part in the healing process has been the itchiness. So while washing I just use water since my skin is sensitive and it’s already itchy down there. Updated on 13 Apr 2023: I definitely fell behind with updates. Nearly two years post op and I’m loving the results. That being said, i knew to achieve what i want would require multiple procedures. In May I’m getting a “touch up”. In no way do I consider this a revision. Dr. Turner was as aggressive as i wanted with removing everything while still ensuring functionality and sensitivity were preserved. One thing i wont do that i did the first time was shave prior. I found when the hair was regrowing it was very uncomfortable with how swollen and sensitive it was. So no shaving this time around.

31 yo breastfed 2 Babies, 5’8” 150lbs 360cc HP Natrelle Inspira

Today was the day! I finally had my breast augmentation. I hav two kids- my daughter just turned 3 and my son is 16 months old. Before I had kids, I was a 34DD. After breastfeeding my boobs completely deflated! My ultimate goal through this whole process was just to feel more like me again. After breastfeeding both kids for about a year, my boobs turned into pancakes. Nothing like they were before. Today we ended up going with 360cc Natrelle Inspira HP under the muscle. I arrived at the Surgery center at 8am, and was on the operating table by 9:07! Woke up in PACU around 11am and was home at noon. Overall I am super sore. Not excruciating pain or anything, but very tight and the soreness runs down through my arms a little. I have taken my first dose of pain meds since leaving the facility, and will take a Valium before I go to bed tonight. So far I can’t tell if I have any bruising, I haven’t attempted to take off my surgical bra. Hoping I will sleep okay tonight and the pain doesn’t get too bad tomorrow! Updated on 6 Jun 2020: Today is just post op day two, but I already love them! I feel like they look so much like they did before babies! The past two days I have been super sore, but manageable. Trying my hardest not to do anything but get up and move around a bit to get my blood pumping. I’ve been staying at my sisters house because I have two small children at home; and I’m supposed to go home tomorrow. I’m hoping by then I’m feeling much better because there is no way I’ll be able to keep my kids off me. So far I haven’t noticed any bruising or anything so I think I’m healing up nicely! Updated on 6 Jun 2020: This evening I starting to feel better so I finally took a shower and I was amazing! Cutting done on my pain meds during the day, but using them at night because I’m having a hard time sleeping in the recliner. Praying I start to feel even better soon so that I can “hold” my kids in my lap! Here’s another picture with no more marker! Updated on 7 Jun 2020: Still doing well, starting to feel much better. Going to use ibuprofen/ acetaminophen today rather than pain pills and see how it goes! I can’t wait until my post op appointment so that I can stop wearing the band! Updated on 8 Jun 2020: Feeling sooo much better! I am completely off the pain pills and only a little sore now. Taking ibuprofen/Tylenol as needed. I am really glad this has been a pretty easy recovery! Went back to work today (office job) and it wasn’t bad at all, the only annoying thing was trying to find something to wear that hid the band. Mornings are definitely the worst, super sore when I wake up. Updated on 11 Jun 2020: Today I am officially one week post op! I had my appointment yesterday and everything looked good. I have no bruising and my incisions are closed up and healing nicely! Taking ibuprofen once in the morning and once at night to help reduce the swelling, but overall I feel good!! Can’t wait for them to drop and fluff, but this cleavage was exactly what I wanted back!! So happy with the size and profile so far! Updated on 12 Jun 2020: I couldn’t wait any longer to try on a bathing suit!! I am in love!! I feel like I finally got my boobs back after breastfeeding!! I feel like the look so similar to my pre-baby size that I’m hoping a lot of people won’t even notice! Updated on 18 Jun 2020: Today I am officially two weeks post op. I feel almost completely normal now! No more soreness, barely even getting morning boob. They are still high and tight, but I feel like they’ve settled a little! Overall I am still very happy with them! First picture is day of surgery, second is today two weeks post op. Updated on 6 Aug 2020: Hard to believe it’s only been two months since my surgery! It feels like a lifetime ago! Still love them and feel completely normal. They have settled nicely! My scar is still kind of dark, but you can only see it if I lift up my breasts.

The BEST Surgeon! Look No Further!

If you’re looking for a plastic surgeon look no further! Dr Turner and his staff are top notch! I had a breast augmentation and they made me feel like family instead of a patient. Today is Post Op day 1 and I’m feel rough as to be expected. Dr Turner called me from his personal cell last night (day of surgery) just to check on me. I’ve been impressed from the start by his bed side manner! He’s very compassionate and caring for his patients! I will update once I can post pictures of my breast augmentation and progress since today is only day one post op. But I had to write a review because he’s so amazing!

Stop Searching You Found the Right Doctor

If you are like me you have searched and searched and read many reviews until you found the right doctor for you. He and his staff are professional, but they also have a kindness that makes you feel welcome. They call you by name and you don't feel like just another $$, #, or patient. Dr. Turner makes sure he answers all your questions before he goes on to his next patient, or home for the day. But, it's not just about that, I absolutely love my results and cannot believe this is my new body. I got a breast reduction and a tummy tuck with lipo to the flanks. I am only 5.5 weeks post op, and with every week the results get better and better especially if you heed the drs instructions. Updated on 31 Oct 2019: Also, the recovery is hard, but that is with any surgeon. I didn't really touch on that on my first review as i wanted to focus on the competence of the doctor and staff. It helps to be prepared and make sure you have someone to help you especially the first week and especially x2 if you have small children... i guess any children but mine are 2 and 4. Updated on 2 Nov 2019: Im 5'2" about 110lbs i haven't really weighed myself since surgery but one time and i was really swollen so it was the same as my before. I hope this helps. Im pretty satisfied with my results but i still have a little ways to go. These were about 3.5 weeks ish and before was just days, a week at most.

Breast Reduction with Brachioplasty

I had gastric bypass 16 years ago and have had very saggy, very large breasts and very saggy arms since then. I haven't kept all of the 248 pounds that I lost off, and currently wear a 16-18w. I'm still around 200 pounds down, but I'm still plus sized. I was a size 10 for a few years and then met my husband and stupidly adopted his eating habits. I kept thinking that I'd lose it again, and waited. Finally I got tired of my back hurting and decided that I'm probably going to be a 16-18 for the rest of my life and went ahead and scheduled a consult. Ultimately, I decided to get my arms done at the same time as my breasts, because - well, why not?? I took 2 weeks off work. I was fine going back - I sit at a desk. Reaching for the keyboard was a bit of a stretch at first. The breast portion of the procedure was pretty easy. It was of course painful, but in all honesty, the arm pain WAY overshadowed the breast pain. I had to wear a surgical bra for 6 weeks, and I still wear it to sleep in - not because I have to, but because I feel like it keeps the girls in place. I seems to me that sleeping with your breasts all over the place will stretch the skin - just my opinion. I'm happy with the results. I went from an F cup to a C-D (depending upon brand). I actually went braless under a sundress in Hawaii a few weeks ago and felt very strange doing it after having to wear a super duper industrial strength bra for so many years. My golf game has improved as well since I don't have to swing past huge breasts anymore. I have sensation in both nipples - in fact more than I did before. It's annoying because they appear to be awake and interested in what's going on in the world all the time and now I battle trying to hide them. Doc says they'll chill out with time, and it can't come too soon to suit me. My husband says that my breakers are popped. I do consider the procedure a complete success. The arm portion of the surgery was much harder. I had very little range of motion for at least a week, and it steadily got better as time went on. I'd say I had full range at about 4 weeks. It was much more painful, but was bearable. I think it was the restriction of the arms that bothered me the most. I couldn't reach for things, etc. The very large flaps of hanging skin that I had are gone, and I can wave without creating a hurricane. This also improved my golf game, and trust me, I can use all the help I can get. I'm seeing a swing coach to get used to the changes in my body dynamics. I consider the arm lift to also be a success. I think he did a good job at making them proportionate to my body. The scars are gnarly - but they will fade with time. My doctor is amazing and I will see him again for any type of procedure that I need. Overall, I would have to say that I wish I'd done this years ago. It's ridiculous that I waited and suffered with back and chest problems and embarrassment.

Tummy tuck with amazing results

Dr Turner preformed a tummy tuck on me and I could not be happier with him or the results he gave me! Dr Turner is a professional, his bedside manner is great, any questions and concerns I had pre and pot op we’re answered very quickly and professionally. He truly cares about his patients and their wellbeing. I had very minimal pain after surgery and recovery time was a lot faster than I thought it would be. I would recommend Dr Turner to anyone looking for a great cosmetic surgeon.

I would most definitely recommend Dr. Turner to anyone

I would most definitely recommend Dr. Turner to anyone. From the very beginning, my satisfaction and safety was his top priority. I wasn't sure about which incision site, implant size, or type of implants that I wanted. He thoroughly explained each of my options and recommended what was best for my body. On the day of surgery, everything went smoothly. He is an excellent surgeon, puts his patients first, and knows his patients by name. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
