1 Year 8 Months Post Op.

I definitely fell behind with updates.
Nearly two years post op and I’m loving the results. That being said, i knew to achieve what i want would require multiple procedures.
In May I’m getting a “touch up”. In no way do I consider this a revision.
Dr. Turner was as aggressive as i wanted with removing everything while still ensuring functionality and sensitivity were preserved.
One thing i wont do that i did the first time was shave prior.
I found when the hair was regrowing it was very uncomfortable with how swollen and sensitive it was.
So no shaving this time around.

1 Month post

All of the pain is gone at this point. I’m crossing my legs again mid bending over normally. It’s sounds dramatic but I really couldn’t bend over normally without feeling I was pulling or pressing on something.
I’m obviously still not sexually active. It’ll definitely be a minimum 6 weeks as they recommend but I may go an extra week or two as I want the healing to be undisturbed for as long as possible.
During my post op appointment he clipped some stitches. He didn’t take them out but told me they’d eventually loosen and fall out. Most of them have except like two.
I had some concerns that the stitches should stay longer. There are some areas that look like they could open back up. He told me that it all looked normal and the skin just needed to toughen over time.
I’ve been very gently cleaning with q-tips every day and a light rinse in the shower. The most uncomfortable part in the healing process has been the itchiness. So while washing I just use water since my skin is sensitive and it’s already itchy down there.

8 Days Post Op

I’m kind of concerned about how long it’s taking to heal.
I work at a restaurant so I’m on my feet 9+ hours a day. I gave myself 10 days off thinking that would be plenty. It’s uncomfortable sitting and standing, going to the bathroom and being on my feet extended amounts of time.
The swelling gets really bad by the end of the day making it more uncomfortable.
So far the most painful/uncomfortable part has been the stitches poking everywhere. Also I shaved before surgery and the hair going back is very uncomfortable also pricking me.
I’d recommend getting a wax before surgery. I tried shaving twice since but couldn’t get everything.
I’ve also developed a rash on the labia majors. Not surprising to me as I have very sensitive skin as well as eczema. I’ve been using my eczema cream and that helps.
