Dr. Sood is a very skilled and personable surgeon who did my explant recently. He did such a good job, my symptoms immediately started to get better and now they are all gone. Laura and the entire staff were so comforting and wonderful. The cost was given to me upfront so there were no surprises. I can not recommend them enough!

I am 4 months post op after Dr Sood did a full enbloc capsulectomy with a lift. Removing 32-year-old ruptured silicone gel implants. I knew nothing about BII (Breast Implant Illness) before a friend had her implants removed & introduced me to Dr. Sood. Being a former model & body builder, it was very hard for me to accept having to remove my implants & not being able to imagine myself without boobs. Dr. Sood and Laura Bowden changed my way of thinking and got me out of my own head. They took the time to explain everything, answered all my questions, even gave me other groups to be able to do my own research. My husband & I flew from Las Vegas NV to Rockford, IL to Dr Sood facility. The facility is truly amazing, warm and comfortably inviting. The entire staff was wonderful and very patient and welcoming with us. This surgery for me personally was the worst surgery I have ever had as far as pain and discomfort. It was so worth having the surgery and I do not regret it for a minute. I feel like a 16-year-old girl that just realized she has pretty perky boobs. Dr. Sood is an artist who has an amazing eye for detail and perfection. His bedside manner is amazing, very easy to talk to. Anyone looking for the best surgeon for this procedure should definitely meet and talk to Dr Sood. I am extremely happy with the outcome of my surgery, my boobs are perfect, my scares are healing nicely, my self esteem and love for myself is back. My only issue with this whole procedure is when trying to get help for insurance reimbursement it is very hard. Most of us can’t afford this surgery without saving, borrowing or pulling from 401K. I understand it is in their contract but if this changed it would put his business over the top, he would be the best in the world. If you are thinking of having this surgery stop thinking and talk to Dr Sood and to Laura you will not regret your decision.

I cannot say enough on how amazing my experience was with Dr. Sood! On 10/7/25 I had a complete capsulectomy intact implant removal and lift. My esthetic outcome is amazing, he is truly a specialist and the best at what he does! I believe his skill is second to none from what I’ve experienced and doing the research that I did beforehand. I think it’s very important to add that from start to finish and well beyond and continuing, he and his team are the most kind and compassionate people! This is such an emotional surgery and I was treated with compassion and respect, in a way that I’ve never experienced with anything in the medical realm. His care, kindness and support doesn’t stop once you’ve had your surgery and your bill is paid. I was not treated like a number or just another case. I feel like I truly matter and my health and the esthetic outcome was every bit as important to him as it was and is for me. I’m nearly 5 months post op and still there is communication and check ins. My health, my appearance and my life is so much better because of Dr. Sood and I am forever grateful.

Dr Sood and the entire staff was UNBELIEVABLE! I have sent MANY women to them and ALL have been happy with results! He is not only talented in ENBLOC but esthetics as well. My scars are straight and healing nicely!! I feel better than ever. I’d go to him if I were choosing a Dr. I love how he will NOT do implants anymore, that truly aligns with me. BII is real and Dr Sood and Laura’s compassion towards us shows they believe in it as well. Laura his advocate is a BII survivor and speaks BOLDLY about it.

Dr. Sood is, hands down, one of the most skilled explant surgeons out there. I explanted in November 2025, and from start to finish the experience was seamless. As an RN of 10 years, I do not hand over trust easily—especially when it comes to surgery on my own body. But I felt completely safe in his hands. He performed a total intact capsulectomy (commonly called an “en bloc” explant in the BII community) along with muscle repair, and provided photographic documentation. He is meticulous. Thoughtful. Calm. And genuinely passionate about helping women dealing with Breast Implant Illness. Aesthetically? He worked magic.He removed my old, thicker implant scars and replaced them with thin, clean incisions. I was also a candidate for his mini-lift technique, which involved skillful reorganization of surrounding tissues to reshape the breast without requiring additional visible scarring—something I deeply appreciated. His team is incredible. My post-op nurse was phenomenal. And Laura Bowden is truly a force in this space—she has been advocating for women with BII for decades and provides real, ongoing support. I never felt like “just another patient,” but part of a larger family of survivors and advocates. My caregiver (Lucie!) took things to another level—managing drains, meds, logistics, even airport coordination—all with humor and kindness. For someone like me who is used to being the caregiver, it meant everything to feel that supported. I had such a positive experience that I will be traveling back from California for an unrelated benign tumor removal. That should tell you everything about the level of trust I have in his surgical judgment and precision. If you are researching explant surgeons, do your homework—but absolutely look at his work. Dr Sood is the absolute best doctor — of any kind. He’s a values-driven, compassionate surgeon who is detailed, technically gifted and provides the best possible aesthetic and health outcomes. I did a lot of research before choosing Dr Sood and after meeting with him and Laura, his patient advocate, I knew having both of them in my corner for my complicated explant surgery was the right call. He is amazing - I spent more time than most with Laura and Dr Sood following a very rare complication and they took such great care of me…his whole team did. They will be lifelong friends.
