Upon graduation, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Dr. Aguirre returned to Colorado to complete a fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery under the training of Dr. G. At the end of his training, Dr. Aguirre took over as the practice’s medical director. Over the years, Dr. Aguirre has added a variety of cosmetic gynecological procedures at the request of his patients, including the latest in vaginal surgery and body contouring, transforming the practice into the full-service center for women’s wellness that it is today.
In December I had a tvh with uterosacral vault suspension, anterior and posterior repair, bladder sling, and vaginoplasty, because might as well if I’m doing all the rest! My main reason for going in was my bladder however. I had been suffering from urge incontinence and the inability to empty efficiently. It sounded like a pinched hose when I tried to pee, and I would have to go frequently. Dr Aguirre was my choice after talking with two other doctors because of a) his credentials and b) he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and normal. I definitely wish I had gone to see him sooner. We as women don’t advocate for ourselves like we should when it comes to our health, and Dr Aguirre not only is that advocate, he helps remove the barriers to getting care and addressing women’s health issues. The office staff was also amazing. Jackie puts you at ease immediately, and appointments were prompt and thorough. I am grateful to Dr Aguirre for the excellent care and superb work he did to get me back to normal.
I had my surgery done a couple years ago. I got a labiaplasty due to some insecurity with my inner labia being long. I really just wanted to do that procedure done but Dr insisted on clitoral hood reduction for a better result. Dr and his staff were super nice! My only complaint and concern is that ever since the surgery my clitoral sensation has decreased immensely which I know was a risk with surgery. I don’t regret my surgery but I do get frustrated at times and it sucks. Again Dr and his staff were super friendly and nice just be aware of the risks
After a botched labiaplasty/hood reduction left me with a fistula on one labium and a ton of excess skin and scar tissue around my hood, I didn’t think I would ever feel confident in my skin again. Browsing through hundreds of before/after photos on Realself, I stumbled upon Dr. Aguirre’s incredible, natural-looking work and I knew immediately that if I could be fixed, he would be the doctor to do it. Spoiler alert: I was not wrong. Dr. Aguirre was incredibly kind and patient(I ask lots of questions). I felt at ease and confident that he and I were on the same page. I’m only about 6 weeks out from surgery(which was a breeze under local anesthesia), and I already look fabulous. I feel SO confident. Truly life-changing. And I just have to mention that aside from the surgery itself, and Dr. Aguirre’s top notch bedside manners, the whole experience at the office was superb. He’s got a solid team and each individual made me feel comfortable, heard, and supported. 10/10
Dr. Aguirre and staff were very professional. They made asking even the most embarrassing of questions easy to ask, and answered as honestly and direct as possible. My partner and I (I’m in my early 40’s, with one vaginal birth) had been having issues with the looseness of my vagina and he couldn’t orgasm, which was causing sexual frustration and friction (no pun intended) in our relationship. I felt like I too would benefit from this procedure so I decided to proceed with it. Each office visit was handled in a timely manner. The initial consultation with Dr. Aguirre was attended by a female nurse to ensure patient HIPA laws. Each part of the exam was explained thoroughly and you had an opportunity to watch with a mirror as he explained the exam and results. In my case, due to laxity he recommended surgical procedure called a vaginoplasty to tighten the posterior and anterior walls, including reducing the entrance to the vagina and anal tag removal. Pre-op with Jacqueline was extremely informative. Ladies, FOLLOW the medication recommendations to the T and purchase her recommendations IN ADVANCE! You won’t regret it and it will make the whole experience much easier on you. Day 1 of surgery: I was a little anxious but the pre-op team did a great job of explaining what to prepare for that morning. I spoke with the anesthesiologist and he explained the procedure for the anesthesia. Then I spoke to Dr. Aguirre about the “tightness” I was looking for. In my case, I wanted as “tight” as I could be. I’m only just now entering week 3 so I can’t update y’all on that yet, but will give updates each week. After walking from the procedure, I felt fine. They have a new medication that helps with pain for 3 days so initially I felt no pain and after relaxing, answering a few questions, and going over the catheter instructions, I was ok to be released. I went home and slept the rest of the day, waking only to take my medication, eat a snack/hydrate, and enjoy my catheter. Make sure you have a partner to assist you the first week, I highly recommend it, because you tire easily. Use your compression socks during week 1 and invest in plenty of full briefs for your pads! By day 2, I was ok to remove the vaginal packing - no issues to report there. By day 3 I was already having urges to have a bowel movement but nurse explained it was part of the process and should expect a BM by day 4-5. I was pretty gassy, so be sure to take the gas-x. Be sure to use the little bottle they give you to cleanse carefully and ice your kitty! I made the mistake of looking at my vagina during this time and I don’t recommend it - Frankenstein status. You body just went through a traumatic experience and stitches are everywhere and swollen. Nurses recommend looking once a week. Entering week 2 wasn’t so bad. A little pain and slight discomfort, take the oxy and Valium - it helps. I started feeling a little more heaviness down there but I had no issues. Went in to have some of the sutures removed and was assured everything was healing as it should be. Don’t be afraid to call your nurse about any questions or concerns. Patience is key, so I’m looking forward to the end result of a tight kitty and pretty star. Entering week 3 and things are good. Still some slight discomfort but I’m definitely moving around more. My kitty tells me when it is too much though, so be sure to listen to her. I’ll probably start weening myself off the Midol and Tylenol every 6 hours towards week 4. I’m trying to have a pain free experience as much as possible, and so far it’s not been bad. Update to come in week 4! I REALLY HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT, I have faith in Dr Aguirre skills, so I’m looking forward to some satisfying sex with my partner as soon as I’m cleared after week 6! Pictures to come at the end too.
Best experience with a professional and highly skilled doctor, and his staff, that I’ve ever experienced in my life! I traveled from Nashville to Denver b/c Dr. Aguirre is very well recognized as being the most cutting edge in his trade & I wanted the best in the field. It was definitely worth it. My results are wonderful! His office is pristine and ran like a well oiled machine! His staff is impeccable! I give this one the highest of ratings and recommend him above anyone else!
Dr. Aguirre is OUTSTANDING. I originally went to him for anal tags and asked to get a consult on some other cosmetic things. I had an anal tag removed years ago by a proctologist and that doctor actually made it worse after a horrific recovery. Therefore I was scared to have it done again. During the consult, Dr. Aguirre was careful to not suggest anything I didn't lead with (he didn't want to make me self-conscious of something I may have been ok with). He asked me what I may have wanted improvement with and we discussed options. I ended up having my anal tags removed along with a my hood reduced and my inner labia trimmed down a bit. The recovery was EASY... I was amazed at how little pain there was. (Side note... I was referred by a P.A. who used to work for him and said he was THE BEST. When I mentioned Dr. Aguirre to my friend, whose husband happens to be a cosmetic surgeon, she also said he was the best in the area and had used him years ago.) I cannot recommend Dr. Aguirre more highly. He's fabulous and I could not be happier with my results!
Dr. Aguirre has a great bedside manner and takes his time during your consultation to discuss any and all questions. He is also a perfectionist and takes pride in his work. I researched many doctors and had several consultations with other practices before finding Dr. Aguirre. Personally, I only felt comfortable going to a gynecologist. I would deter anyone from going to a general cosmetic surgeon. This is important anatomy that needs to be handlers with care. Take too much and there’s no going back. In fact, during my labiaplasty, Dr. Aguirre was conservative and upon the 6-week check up offered to do a revision at no cost. I’m so happy with my results and love my new look. I feel confident and sexy. The only regret I have is not having done it sooner. PS: the recovery is very easy, the vagina is made for childbirth so it can handle minor surgery just fine. Lastly, I also appreciate not having to go under general
I would 100% recommend Dr. Oscar Aguirre for any cosmetic treatment. I felt very well cared for at his office and got the exact results I was looking for. Dr. Aguirre and his staff were extremely professional and genuinely cared about helping me achieve my cosmetic goals. I really appreciate all the care they gave me!
I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Aguirre! I had known from an early age that my labia were not only large, but uneven. Then after having three large babies, everything down there was stretched out even more. Dr. Aguirre performed a labiaplasty, a clitoral hood reduction and a perineoplasty on me. He also removed some anal tags. He did a wonderful job, and he and his staff are all so very kind and empathetic. I want to emphasize the importance of having these procedures done by an experienced urogynecologist such as Dr. Aguirre, rather than by a plastic surgeon, as this is not a plastic surgeon's area of expertise. I had consulted with a plastic surgeon before deciding on Dr. Aguirre. Besides not doing the perineoplasty and anal tag removal, she was only comfortable removing a very small amount of skin from my clitoral hood. I was nervous about her doing so, because I worried about losing clitoral sensitivity if it wasn't done carefully or correctly. Knowing how good everything looks now, and the clitoral sensitivity I have actually gained from the procedure, I can't imagine how disappointed I would have been to have had the labiaplasty without a true hood reduction. I would still have all that saggy skin sitting in-between my beautiful trimmed back labia. I am so pleased with my results, and glad I finally had it done! Thank you Dr. Aguirre and staff:)
I had been insecure about my labia since my early teens and experienced discomfort and chafing. After ending a long term abusive relationship I was ready to do something for myself and gain confidence with a labiaplasty. The process was smooth and easy and Dr Aguirre and the nurses made me feel at ease. The surgery was uncomfortable at times but never painful, and the recovery was much easier than expected with pain for only the first few days and none after removing the stitches. The result turned out better than I could've ever expected! Under Dr Aguirre's suggestion I also opted for a clitoral hood reduction, which ended up being a major change in the appearance of my vulva and has brought me a major confidence boost.I was afraid of losing stimulation in the clitoris because I had heard in multiple reviews that it occurs, but Dr Aguirre assured me that he had ever had a case where there was lost stimulation. I didn't lose any sensation and instead gained some! With less of my clitoral hood surrounding and blocking my clitoris sexual function has actually improved. The discomfort I had due to my labia is gone, too.Overall I feel more mentally changed than physically because I've gained so much confidence in myself and have new start with my love life. Great experience!

Hello Tasha, I'm sorry to hear about your difficult post-partum course and poor advice. Your labia likely tore on its own during delivery and not from your doctor snipping it by accident. The tear can be repaired at the time of a labiaplasty so that you can achieve symmetry and improve function and aesthetics. Sorry about your poor experience with what should otherwise have been a life-changing procedure for the better. Revision of the frenulum and remaoining labia could certainly be an option for you. Hello Victoria, You could have those procedures performed at the same time if you'd like. Since you're having them done by different surgeons and at different facilities the only thing to consider is healing time for the fat harvesting site for the labial puffing. Perhaps this fat could be harvested from a different site than from the BBL if you want to shorten that time period. Depending on the amount of labial puffing that you are looking to achieve a Vampire Puff would be a good non-surgical alternative.
