Looking Forward to End Results!

Dr. Aguirre and staff were very professional. They made asking even the most embarrassing of questions easy to ask, and answered as honestly and direct as possible.
My partner and I (I’m in my early 40’s, with one vaginal birth) had been having issues with the looseness of my vagina and he couldn’t orgasm, which was causing sexual frustration and friction (no pun intended) in our relationship. I felt like I too would benefit from this procedure so I decided to proceed with it.
Each office visit was handled in a timely manner. The initial consultation with Dr. Aguirre was attended by a female nurse to ensure patient HIPA laws. Each part of the exam was explained thoroughly and you had an opportunity to watch with a mirror as he explained the exam and results. In my case, due to laxity he recommended surgical procedure called a vaginoplasty to tighten the posterior and anterior walls, including reducing the entrance to the vagina and anal tag removal.
Pre-op with Jacqueline was extremely informative. Ladies, FOLLOW the medication recommendations to the T and purchase her recommendations IN ADVANCE! You won’t regret it and it will make the whole experience much easier on you.
Day 1 of surgery: I was a little anxious but the pre-op team did a great job of explaining what to prepare for that morning. I spoke with the anesthesiologist and he explained the procedure for the anesthesia. Then I spoke to Dr. Aguirre about the “tightness” I was looking for. In my case, I wanted as “tight” as I could be. I’m only just now entering week 3 so I can’t update y’all on that yet, but will give updates each week. After walking from the procedure, I felt fine. They have a new medication that helps with pain for 3 days so initially I felt no pain and after relaxing, answering a few questions, and going over the catheter instructions, I was ok to be released. I went home and slept the rest of the day, waking only to take my medication, eat a snack/hydrate, and enjoy my catheter. Make sure you have a partner to assist you the first week, I highly recommend it, because you tire easily. Use your compression socks during week 1 and invest in plenty of full briefs for your pads!
By day 2, I was ok to remove the vaginal packing - no issues to report there. By day 3 I was already having urges to have a bowel movement but nurse explained it was part of the process and should expect a BM by day 4-5. I was pretty gassy, so be sure to take the gas-x. Be sure to use the little bottle they give you to cleanse carefully and ice your kitty!
I made the mistake of looking at my vagina during this time and I don’t recommend it - Frankenstein status. You body just went through a traumatic experience and stitches are everywhere and swollen. Nurses recommend looking once a week.
Entering week 2 wasn’t so bad. A little pain and slight discomfort, take the oxy and Valium - it helps. I started feeling a little more heaviness down there but I had no issues. Went in to have some of the sutures removed and was assured everything was healing as it should be. Don’t be afraid to call your nurse about any questions or concerns. Patience is key, so I’m looking forward to the end result of a tight kitty and pretty star.
Entering week 3 and things are good. Still some slight discomfort but I’m definitely moving around more. My kitty tells me when it is too much though, so be sure to listen to her. I’ll probably start weening myself off the Midol and Tylenol every 6 hours towards week 4. I’m trying to have a pain free experience as much as possible, and so far it’s not been bad.
Update to come in week 4!
I REALLY HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT, I have faith in Dr Aguirre skills, so I’m looking forward to some satisfying sex with my partner as soon as I’m cleared after week 6!
Pictures to come at the end too.
