My Pelvic Floor Had Left the Group Chat
WORTH IT$18,000
I recently underwent extensive pelvic reconstructive surgery with Dr. Aguirre, including a hysterectomy, vaginoplasty, labiaplasty, vault suspension, cystocele and rectocele repairs, and Bulkamid treatment. It was a major surgery, but the recovery was honestly much easier than I expected.
I was actually referred to Dr. Aguirre by another highly respected pelvic reconstructive surgeon (Dr. Michael Goodman) who has since retired. That recommendation carried a lot of weight with me, and after my experience, I completely understand why. I also traveled from Idaho for treatment because I wanted the best possible care, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I consulted with surgeons in Houston, California, New Jersey and Florida, but chose Dr. Aguirre.
As someone who has had eight surgeries in the past three years, I feel like I have a pretty good basis for comparison. The care I received from Dr. Aguirre and his team was exceptional from start to finish. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all of my questions, and make me feel comfortable and confident in my decision.
The results have been truly life-changing. My stress incontinence is completely gone. I didn't fully realize how many issues I had been living with after having just one baby—I only knew that things didn't feel right. Looking back, I wish I had pursued treatment sooner.
While I'm still healing (8 weeks post-op) and intimacy is understandably a little tender at times, it has already made such a positive difference in my quality of life and my marriage. My husband is like a kid on Christmas morning! It's amazing how much confidence and comfort this surgery has restored.
I truly believe more women should know these options exist. These procedures can have a profound impact on quality of life, and I wish insurance would cover them 100% because the benefits are far more than cosmetic—they are functional, physical, emotional, and life-changing.
I cannot thank Dr. Aguirre and his team enough (not enough praise can be said for Dani or Jacque!) for their skill, compassion, and support throughout this journey. I highly recommend them to anyone considering urogynecologic or pelvic reconstructive surgery.
