TLDR: I wanted a natural look- my boobs but better if you will. Dr. Jerome Liu understood my goals. He’s extremely precise and I am obsessed with my results! My healing has been smooth without any complications. Highly recommend Dr. Jerome Liu :) My stats: Early 30s 5’5” 125-130 lbs 265 cc Motiva round, smooth, demi profile Subfascial placement 34A -> 34C I’ve wanted a breast augmentation for so long but wanted to wait until my frontal lobe develops before making any major body/life-changing decisions. I’m in my early 30s now and I love my body. I feel “womanly” despite small breasts. I don’t think I was missing anything but I just wanted a little OOMPH. Not saying you have to wait for surgery but I feel like it takes time to make peace with any changes to your body. Also it takes a lot to entrust your body in someone else’s hands. I did research for years and kept tabs on surgeons I felt aligned with my goals. I personally only consulted with Dr. Jerome Liu. From the initial consultation, I felt like he understood what I wanted. I came with a bunch of questions prepared and he took time to answer each one. The initial consult really made me feel reassured moving forward. I also want to thank his patient coordinators Noel and Kelly for being so helpful throughout this entire process. I’m about 3 weeks post-op and will update more along my healing journey! Updated on 2 Apr 2025: I’ve added a bunch of photos as an update Updated on 3 May 2025: Healing has been so easy! It was maybe slightly uncomfortable week 1 and 2 from the sutures. But from then on, I feel like they’re a part of me. My incisional scar perfect blends with my crease so it’s not very visible. I’m working on lightening it and using silicone scar sheets. I think the placement of the implants is perfect. I have a good amount of cleavage without a bra and even more so with one. I go back and forth whether I want to get them bigger but I do think they look perfectly natural for my body. Boob greed is real but it doesn’t mean bigger is better!! I was afraid that a highly cohesive implant would feel fake. But I personally can’t even feel the implant from my own tissue which is pretty cool. My natural breast was soft but had a firmness to it and the implants feel exactly like that :) overall so happy still and so glad I went with Dr. J Liu

I'm so glad I did because honestly I'm at a point where I love my body naturally (early 30s). I feel like a woman despite having small breasts. So when I decided to get implants, it was just because I wanted a little more OOMPH. Not because I feel like I was missing anything :) Not to say you should wait to feel this way but it was my personal decision to wait. I only consulted with Dr. Liu. I know girls tend to consult with many surgeons and I do recommend doing your due diligence, however, Dr. Liu checked all of my boxes. He met my standards in terms of professionalism, aesthetic eye, patient outcomes. So IMO, there wasn't a need to look elsewhere. His patient care coordinator, Noel also helped seal the deal with her professionalism and warmth. I'm so thankful to them both for answering all of my endless questions. Also, major shout out to patient care coordinator, Kelly, who also helped tremendously during the process. I never felt like my questions or requests were dismissed by Dr. Liu or his team. I'm 2 weeks post-op and I'll share more as I heal! Good luck on your journey girlies!

Dr Jerome H. Liu is an amazing natural doctor! When he asked me what I was looking for I said something to fit my body and for me to still be able to hide it. He suggested 285cc or 300cc(gummy bear)! I had said 300cc but I went home and did the rice in a sock method. Every night, I tried on both. I was a little more daring and tried on 330cc. I booked my surgery and I ask for them to be bigger. He said "how much bigger do you want them" and I said 330cc. He looked at me and he said “that's not much of a difference”. LOL He didn't allow me to go bigger than that because he would have to create a new crease. Something about the baseline of my original breast folds being the foundation to it holding in place. He had place the same size implants in both of my breast. I was a little worried that it was going to look uneven because my left side is a little lower and bigger. Other drs used different size implants to make them "look" even. I asked him why he doesn't do that either. Something about one being heavier than the other and over time one will get more saggy. After he explained his many reasoning of his technique i knew i was able to trust him not only with this surgery but with my life also! When I had woke up from surgery I looked down and thought “wow i should have gone bigger”. It’s so weird you think you’re going to wake up with these crazy huge boobs and you really don’t. All in all, yes i pushed to go a little bigger but it was my decision with his guidance! I’m extremely happy that i did go bigger because when they had dropped and fluffed they were exactly how i imagined them to be in my head. They look good in clothes and they still look big enough without clothes plus the placement of them makes them look even too! I went from a 32A to a 32D. Thanks Dr Liu I LOVE MY BOOBIES!

I wanted breast implants for about 10 years but was too scared of surgery and I could get the look I wanted generally with push up bras and padding but these bras are uncomfortable most the time and I was sick of doing this. I decided I was ready finally and had them done. I was nervous but really happy now that I did it. They are exactly the right size and shape for me. My recovery was about 5 days and I went under muscle but with medication and support from my partner I got through it. It will be a few months before they settle. I didnt ask for a specific CC amount but instead trusted the doctor to measure me, hear what I was looking for and then trusted his recommendation. I ended up with 285 cc and thats just right for my body and size. everyone is different Pros: I can wear comfortable bras with no padding and my clothes fit better now more confidence! my shape feels more proportional I can easily cover them up with a hoodie or t shirt because I got a size that will keep people guessing Cons: You should take time off work and there is going to be pain and discomfort. You need someone with you the first few days to help you do most everything these things don't come cheap but I feel like you get what you pay for and I felt very well taken care of and the surgery was done very well. I am a 65 year old woman who finally had a breast augmentation and I could not be happier. I am 6 days post op. Never needed any pain reliever stronger than extra strength Tylenol. Dr Lui was amazing. My post op is tomorrow but so far everything seems to be healing wonderfully. Updated on 19 Apr 2023: It’s been a little over 6 weeks and I am still loving my new girls. I dealt with pain a little longer than I expected but the pain is gone and I am back to doing upper body workouts (not doing planks or pushups yet). I was cleared for wearing any bra I want. Still waiting to go bra shopping for when they fully drop and fluff. Scars are fading nicely. Doing my daily exercises and find that they are getting much softer. It’s SO nice to chose any top in my closet and they look great. First time in my life I’ve had some cleavage and it feels great. I never realized how hard I worked to make my clothes look good and to make my upper body look proportionate to the rest of my body. Unfortunately, I am in two walking boots due two separate falsl and have broken bones in my feet. (It was interesting dealing with two broken feet and recovering from breast surgery at the same time - yikes). My workouts are done seated these days. Since my first injury, I’ve gained 10 pounds. It’s the first time I don’t really care. In the past, it was always a struggle to keep my belly flatter than my boobs LOL. Good luck to all of you on your decisions and your surgery if you proceed. I know some people think I should have gone larger but I got exactly what I wanted and I’m thrilled. You do you! Updated on 5 May 2023: I have received several messages about my BA that do not sound like legitimate women. This review is long overdue. I had breast augmentation with gummy and abdominoplasty with plication in 2018(ish). I was amazed (and still am) how little pain I experienced during recovery. I had a pain pump at first. Once it was removed I may have taken the prescription medication for a night or two. But then Tylenol was sufficient. I was initially shocked by the look of the incision when the abdominoplasty bandages were removed. Since then other physicians repeatedly remarked how "beautiful" my scar was. Now it is almost undetectable. I was also (strangely) concerned about getting a weird looking belly button but my new one is much cuter! I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Liu was a pleasure throughout the entire process. He is an artist. His staff is attentive and top notch. I have and will continue to go back for future care.

I've always been on the small side with 34A, but after picking up running, became even more deflated. BA has been on my mind since my early 20's and I've been researching on and off, but I finally decided to take the plunge this year. Dr. Liu was great during my consultation and I felt completely at ease with him. My goal was to be fuller and to look as natural as possible. We decided on smooth round silicone moderate plus under the skin via inframammary incision. Due to my active lifestyle (running, lifting), Dr. Liu said this would give me the most natural look. I was indecisive between 285cc and 305cc, because I didn't want to go too big where it would be noticeable. Dr. Liu said that difference of 20cc is nearly indistinguishable and I could go with either. At our pre-op appointment, I decided on 305cc and am very happy I went with the larger of the two options. I think the size fits my frame and looks proportional. Day of surgery (Aug 25): I arrived at the surgery center 90 minutes before my 7:45am surgery time. I was pretty nervous, but my nurse was such an angel and made me feel so comfortable. She inserted my IV, gave me some pre-op meds (pain meds, muscle relaxant), and then it was a bit of hanging out until surgery time. Dr. Liu came and marked me and shortly after, it was go time! Once I was in the OR, things moved pretty quickly. My anesthesiologist said he was going to give me something to relax and boom I was out! When I woke up, I felt very disoriented and like I was in a dream. Surgery started probably closer to 8am and I went home a little after 10am. Once home, I headed straight to bed. I had a lot of nausea and drowsiness from the anesthesia. I would wake up every few hours to go the bathroom and tried to eat some soup, but couldn't handle even liquids due to the nausea. I ended up sleeping most of the day and woke up to take some Tylenol, ibuprofen, and anti-nausea meds. My chest felt very tight and sore. Getting out of bed was definitely a struggle, but I had a lot of help from my partner. Day 1-3 post-op: I was taking ibuprofen and Tylenol around the clock for pain management. My BM was all out of whack and I felt so bloated. Morning boob made getting out of the bed very uncomfortable. Boobs felt very hard and swollen. I tried to take a 5 min walk every hour, but arm range of motion was still very limited. I was able to wash my hair on day 3 by carefully placing my head upside down so I wouldn't have to raise my arms. Day 4-6 post-op: Boobs were still hard, but a little less swollen. I was taking less Tylenol & ibuprofen. Appetite and BM was back to normal. Day 7 post-op: Had my 7 day check up appointment. Dr. Liu said everything looked great and I should start doing massages twice a day. I'm getting my stitches removed in 1 week. I'm able to lift my arms above my head, but am still careful with my movements. Getting out of bed is easier, but I've discovered that I've been hunching from sitting so now I have to make a conscious effort to stand straight. Updated on 8 Sep 2022: Had my stitches removed today. I purchased some silicone tape to help with scarring and my PA said to apply the silicone tape for 3 months. PA said boobs are healing well and they're starting to drop and fluff. Still experiencing some tightness, especially in the morning after waking up, but the swelling has gone down quite a bit. I've been massaging 2-3 times a day and can feel my boobs becoming softer. I 've gone back to the gym and am just doing stairmaster and elliptical without using the arms. My PS said I'm cleared to start running in 3 weeks post-op and will probably start slow since any bouncing movements still feel a bit weird. I have another follow up appointment in 2 weeks (4 weeks post-op). Hopefully boobs will continue to soften and fluff. Updated on 10 Oct 2022: It's been a little bit over 6 weeks and everything has been great! Boobs are getting fluffier and dropping. I've been cleared of all actives and cleared to wear any types of bras. I used a bra that fits calculator and my size is 30E in UK and 30DDD/F in US. 30 band is harder to find in US stores so I've ordered the US sister size instead. Depending on how they fit once I receive them, I may order the UK brands online. I haven't tried running yet, but I find stair master lately have been a better workout so I'm sticking with that. Attempted to do a pull up, but just hanging from the bar felt uncomfortable and tight so I stopped. Scar is healing well. I've been using the silicone tape daily and will continue to wear them for another 6 weeks. Overall, I love my boobs, and they feel more and more part of me each day!

Dr. Liu is the best! I had been contemplating getting a breast augmentation for basically my entire post-puberty life and finally pulled the trigger in October of 2020, and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. I went to four consultations in the Bay Area and Chicago and Dr. Liu and his team were in their own echelon.He was incredibly professional, thorough, and patient. He walked me through all the risks, complications, and types of implants, so I felt completely informed making the decision. He was also beyond helpful in determining what CC implant to get as I was very indecisive.The surgery was easy and my recovery was so quick, and he gave his personal cell and called the evening after my surgery to check in. I walked 20k steps the day after my surgery and really never had very much pain. My scars are almost invisible and I am five months out. Couldn't be happier with the results! Updated on 5 Jan 2022: This is one year post operation and my breasts have fully settled and look and feel so natural. Most people can’t tell that I’ve ever had work done. I have almost no scarring at all and all sensation has returned.

I was concerned with forehead wrinkles. Dr Liu came up on yelp and then I researched instagram and RealSelf.Pros - again this is just 'baby Botox'. I wasn't looking for dramatic results but just look natural. And I'm happy with that. I've done three rounds.Cons - I would think the price is fair. I don't have any benchmark since I haven't gone anywhere else. It's the most affordable treatment but could be expensive depending on the person. I learned something new the last visit. If you plan on working out the same day as Botox, get it done before your treatment. A heart pumping intense workout within 24 hours or 48hours can diminish the benefits of the botox. The pump and sweat supposedly metabolizes the recently injected Botox. I read into this and sources say true some are unsubstantiated. I won't risk it. Botox then relax the rest of the day.
