I had my breast augmentation done by Dr. Kim in 2004, and more than 20 years later, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My results have held up beautifully over the decades — natural, balanced, and still flattering after all this time. I am only now considering a lift due to normal aging, not because of any problems with the original surgery. That alone speaks volumes about Dr. Kim’s skill, precision, and artistry. The implants have maintained their shape and position far longer than I ever expected. Beyond the physical results, Dr. Kim made me feel comfortable, informed, and truly cared for throughout the entire process. He listened to my goals and delivered results that looked natural and suited my body perfectly — not just immediately after surgery, but for over two decades. If you are looking for a surgeon who delivers beautiful, long-lasting results and prioritizes patient satisfaction, I cannot recommend Dr. Kim highly enough. I would absolutely trust him again.
I’ve had 5 different breast surgeries with several different doctors. Some did ok and one was a nightmare and shouldn’t be allowed to practice. I found David Kim after my nightmare and he is sooo good at what he does. He fixed what so many have messed up. This is the what they have ever been and I wish I would have found him sooner. He is professional and really knows what he is doing. I’m so glad I had him do my surgery as I’m tired of spending so much money for horrible work. He did amazing and I’m finally happy with my results. I strongly suggest using him if you want amazing results.
I found Dr. Kim through the cosplayer Liz Katz who has the most perfect boobs. I didn’t want to go quite as big, but her shape was perfect. I was really impressed by his before and afters and the videos on youtube showing he can somehow make incredibly large implants look natural. I’m from a different state so we had a consultation via email and a quick zoom call to answer a couple of other questions. Dr. Kim is a man of few words but if you prepare questions he will make sure to answer them all. He does things differently since he won’t decide on the amout of CCs or the profile until you’re under and he gets to test out the sizes/shapes to get you as close as he can to your goal photo. I ended up with 535cc on both sides. We flew into town the weekend before the surgery, did a preop appt on Monday where I chose the gummy bear implants. Dr. Kim said my nipples were slightly low so I could do a crecent lift but he can still make them look good without the lift. I decided on no lift and inframamary cut. The surgery was quick and easy. The procedure took no more then hour- hour and a half and when I have almost no pain. I’m 2 days post op right now and have to keep reminding myself to take it easy cause i feel completely fine. The breasts are obviously still swollen and haven’t dropped but I’m very happy with the results so far and i’m expecting they’ll be just what I wanted when they drop. Here is my inspo photo, before photos and the 1 day post op photos. My stomach is still pretty bloated from the surgery but i’m expecting that to settle soon Updated on 6 Jul 2023: Here are some progress photos from last 10 days. Since i’m not local I had to take my own stiches out today but it was super easy and just mildely uncomfortable. The scars are much smaller than I expected, Idk how he got such big implants through such small incisions tbh! As for my boobs they are overall great. I am hoping though that they will get a bit closer together (tighter clevege) but I guess that’s what the sports bra and the massages are for. I also got an elastic band to wear over the sports bra to keep them tighter together. My right breast is a bit higher and rounder on the top but I hear it’s normal for that one to drop slower if you’re right handed. I tried on some clothes without the sports bra and wow all of my clothes fits so much better now! As for the recovery, I had an unexpected speed bump when me and my whole family caught a horrible stomach bug two days after my surgery and ended up in an ER on an IV… that was rough but doesn’t seem like it had major consequences on my surgery recovery (plus I lost a few pounds lol). I feel pretty good with virtually no pain so it’s been really hard to “take it easy” especially with two littles and an endless to-do list. I have to keep reminding myself cause I don’t want to mess up my boobies. I will say though my sleep has been trash cause i’m not used to sleeping on my back. Hard to fall asleep, wake up easy, can’t fall back to sleep, my restless leg syndrome has been acting up really bad… I’ll probably ask Dr. Kim if I can take some sleep aid meds tbh. I think that’s all for now! Updated on 6 Jul 2023: I got a question from someone about boob changes with pregnancy and breastfeeding so I figured I can make a little post to show how my boobs changed over time. I’m postong my pre kids tiny boobies, two months into breastfeeding with first, 3 years later after I lost weight and got in shape, and while breastfeeding baby number 2, then after I was done breastfeeding, and now Updated on 19 Jul 2023: Here’s some progress photos! I’m still very happy with the results and the recovery! I finally tested them out without the sports bra for our anniversary date night and got so many compliments on the dress. I wore this dress before my BA and never got so many compliments so I don’t think people were complementing *just* the dress lol. I will say so far they don’t feel super soft and squishy but maybe that will improve as they settle. Also when I don’t have my arms down by my side the cleavage is a bit wider than ideal. It still looks great but it is a bit of a giveaway that they are fake Updated on 28 Jul 2023: Here’s more updates. I flew to LA for a check up a couple of days ago, Dr. Kim said everything looks good and I can start wearing bras during the day and ok’d me for cardio. I went to Victoria Secret to be fitted for a bra and I’m a 32DDD!!!
Had this dude do my BA back in the 2009ish. He did a great job but don’t expect him to make sure your new boobs will be proportional to your hips and what not. Boobs however looked perfect and has been for at least a decade! He accused me of having had a nose job though I told him I never did. Dude. Why can’t an Asian just have been born with a nose with a perfect bridge. Lol. When people ask me if I had my nose done I tell them my parents did it, in bed. And I ended up with great results. Anyhow, nowadays I am needing a breast lift for sure. A removal but not certain if I want new implants or just have a lift and be the usual full B that I was. Plus the boobs kept growing from pregnancy and child birth so the original size that this dude here gave me went up.
I got my first breast augmentation in May 2020. I was 23 years old with no kids. Didn't do much research on breast augmentations I just found a dr that I liked with the best result in my opinion. My Dr told me I wasn't quite a candidate for a breast lift just the implant and I also knew I wanted to do silicone forsure! We went with 485cc. I'm 5'8 and at the time I weighed about 145 pounds.
Dr. Kim preformed my rhinoplasty in 2009 and ever since I told myself that if I ever get my breasts done, it will be with him. A little bit about him, he is a man of a few words who gets straight to business. You might sense coldness from him when he first walks through the door. He is not the type to sit there with you for 2 hours and convince you about something. He looks at you, tells you what realistic results you can get with him and delivers you exactly what he has told you. Personally, I love that about him! When it comes to surgery, you dont doctors over selling themselves nor confusing you even more. Dont be taken back by his personality. His entire office works like that too. They will not run after you or beg you to book a surgery. Just trust your intuition and know that you are in very good hands. About my breast augmentation experience: Im 32 years old with 3 kids who I breastfed for a short while. After gaining and losing weight over the years, my boobs have changed tremendously. I couldnt recognize them anymore. Before kids, I was a 36C with cute perky boobies. Over the years, my boobs deflated and sagged, especially my left one. I had major asymmetry (as you will see in the photos). It was really bothering me, because it would show in bathing suits and open tops. After going back and forth, I decided to finally get it done. Dr. Kim told me that If I did not want a full lift, we have to at least do a donut lift to get better results. Also, he pointed out that my chest bone sticks out which kind of separates the boobs from one another. Meaning, if I want that cleavage look, I will need to wear push up bras. He was very realistic about my results and didnt over promise me anything. I decided to go with a donut lift, a full C cup and a medium size nipples (not too small). About my surgery: I had my surgery on 7.12.22 and I honestly had the best experience. The nurses were amazing and took a great care of me. I comfortably went to sleep and walk up 1.5 hours later not feeling sick or anything. The anesthesiologist did an excellent job. I never felt pain after the surgery, only pressure and discomfort. I never even took the narcotics that he prescribed but only Tylenol. The first night was REALLY uncomfortable, because I had to sleep on my back (Im a stomach/side sleeper). I had major anxiety afterwards, not sure if its because of the anesthesia or the thoughts I had put in my head. Next day, Dr. Kim took the bandages off and put me in a bra. I was in bed for pretty much 3 days then got out of the house on the 4th day. The boobs felt really heavy as if something is sitting on my chest. It was making me feel even more anxious. After 4 days, I started massaging them which actually felt nice. I am now 9 days post op. All tape came off yesterday and Im loving my results so far. I wanted them to look VERY natural and I think they do. They are getting softer by the day. My right boob was the smaller one so it has a larger implant, 305cc. My left one has 235cc. The right one feels tighter and more sore as the skin needs to stretch more. I actually feel the implant there versus the left side which feels very soft and real. Again, no pain but feels more like engorged boobs that need to be emptied. Im wearing an extremely tight bra to keep them close together per doctor advice. I will continue to update as Im healing."
I had my consultation with Dr. David Kim today. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and honest. He answered my 20 plus questions with patience. He was honest about the results I would receive without a lift and with. He did not sugarcoat anything, but that is what you need in a professional. I cannot wait for my surgery! Updated on 2 Jun 2022: I had my pre op appointment yesterday. I had to sign paperwork, get blood work, speak with Dr. Kim and pay the remaining balance. It took a little over two hours. We decided that I did not need the lift because my breasts were only slightly asymmetrical. I was very happy because that means he can go through the crease instead of nipple. My surgery is in 14 days; I can’t wait! Updated on 19 Jun 2022: I had my surgery on the 16th. The nurses Page and Shirley were absolutely amazing! They were so kind and sweet. Dr. O’Neil, the anesthesiologist, kind of irked me but we pleasant enough. Dr. Kim did an amazing job and was able to use high profile 600-650cc. I had some asymmetry hence the two sizes. So I wished I knew how rough surgery was. I thought I’d be fine afterwards. Jokes on me! I was fine the day of surgery, but the next day was absolute hell. The pain medication made me extremely nauseous and I had a panic attack in the office for my post op. Dr. Kim rushed me out realizing the office was making me worse. Or at least I think that’s why he got me out so fast. The girls at the front were angels! I was so sick and super emotional/embarrassed. They were empathetic and lovely! I wish I knew there names to leave them great reviews. I’m doing much better now on day 3 post op. My breasts are super high still. I can’t wait for them to drop. Updated on 21 Jun 2022: I’m feeling much better. I can’t wait till I can shower normal though. They are still freakishly high and swollen. I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff. I’m seeing Dr. Kim in 6 days; I hope he can remove the tape and stitches. Updated on 22 Jun 2022: I got the stomach flu last night from my kids.. throwing up with new implants is awful! I couldn’t take my antibiotics because they’d just come back up. I hope I don’t get an infection due to this. Updated on 23 Jun 2022: I think they dropped maybe 2%! They only feel like rocks when I stand up so that’s improvement too. I began messaging them and will hopefully get approved to start wearing a band. Does anybody know how to help the muscle relax? Updated on 28 Jun 2022: I had my 2nd post op appointment yesterday. Dr. Kim took off the tape and said that they were looking great and felt soft. He told me I need to be massaging harder and to get a tighter bra. Also, that I can start taking vitamin e and wearing a band to help them drop. Updated on 30 Jun 2022: I’m 14 days post op and feeling almost back to normal. A little more tired than usually, but I’m a mama of two so I’m use to it. I hope they are dropping. The band is so uncomfortable.. I need to be wearing it more. Updated on 8 Jul 2022: They are dropping more and more! I’m so happy with my decision to go with Dr. Kim. My husband wasn’t thrilled that he cost more than most plastic surgeons in BH, but he was more than worth it. I can’t wait for them to completely drop and fluff. Also, to wear a normal bra during the day. Updated on 8 Jul 2022: They look better in clothes currently. Can’t wait for them to drop! This site helped me so much. That’s why I’m posting so much. I hope if you’re in California you consider Dr. Kim! He is a true artist. Updated on 10 Jul 2022: Here is a picture of my breast implants from the side. I think they look a lot more fake-ish from the side. I hoping once they drop and fluff they will look more natural. I had no tissue so I cannot hold my breath. Updated on 29 Nov 2022: Almost 6 months post operation. I’ve gained 7 pounds ???? but I think my boobs look great. I am so happy that I went to Dr. Kim! He gave me exactly the boobs I wanted. I will probably go to 800 cc when I switch them out in 10 years though. Updated on 5 Feb 2023: I think this is six months post operation. I think they look great! I am very happy with Dr. Kim’s work; he is a true artist. He creates the best cleavages. I will definitely go the full 800cc when I replace these in nine years. Updated on 2 Apr 2023: I think they are done falling now. For some reason they seem so small now. I’m not sure why? I went as why as my skin would allow. I will definitely go to 800cc when I replace these. I feel like they just look normal and I’d love them to look huge lol. Maybe I am crazy.
I got mine done ten years ago! He was amazing! You’re in skilled hands! Don’t come to him looking for a friend. Get him because he delivers. His staff on the other hand... no comment. Photos are about a week out. I got implants and a lift and was opting for a more natural look. I loved his work. I got the silicone gummy bear under the muscle through the areola.
I fell in love with my BA about 10 years ago when Dr. Kim did them for me! Fast forward to today, I still love them! I never had any issues with them! And I get so many compliments! I will definitely recommend Dr Kim in a heartbeat!
I am four months post tummy tuck surgery with lipo of the flanks. Dr. Kim and his staff were very supportive as this was a difficult recovery. They were always available to address any questions or concerns. My results are amazing and my only regret is not having surgery sooner.
