Worst experience of my life. I had custom cheek implants. They were placed approx. 4 cm wide, one too high, one too low. Both are so far away from their design making electing for custom implants completely redundant and need to be replaced. One corner is visibly causing a large bump under my eye and poking over the orbital rim into my eye socket causing it to twitch and irritate because it was placed so far away from their intended design. Had a CT scan after to determine placement and he actively tried not to show it to me. He lost his temper on multiple occasions, including when I asked to see the full CT scan. He was in denial the whole time about how far off the placement is even when faced with a pre and post CT scan. I have seen two surgeons in follow up consultations and they all cannot explain why the implants were placed so far away (approx 4cm) from their design which iI am told is the reason for the issues I am left with. They discussed a cash settlement with me then decided to pretend in writing the discussion did not take place. This Doctor is unethical, uses his temper to manipulate you, and lacks skill. His aesthetic taste is non-existent. I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The old adage is completely true with this person - those who teach; can't do. Look elsewhere if you value your time, face, and happiness.
As you can read at my profile i went to hell because of aquamid now about 4 years passed and im looking for the best plastic surgeon to fix my right cheek, I was wondering if someone had cheek implants or revision with dr: Binder from Beverlly Hills...Im seriouslly thinking to have this procedure done sometime soon :))
Experienced, but beware of poor communication of services/rules: Specifically consulted for Malar implants which I have been researching for a 5 years now, and received a quote. Due the fact that he uses a bolster method rather than screw fixation (I don’t like the risk of implants shifting) I decided to not proceed with this doctor. From looking at implant reviews and complications reported on Realself or in papers, I personally would not want to deal with bone erosion nor an unsecured implant (there are other surgeons that use screw fixation elsewhere in the US). Was able to book one appointment to dissolve filler at this office. Called the office to schedule another filler dissolver but when I showed up and mentioned I wouldn’t be proceeding with surgery, he mentioned he doesn’t do filler dissolver if I’m not planning to do surgery with him, and that the surgeon of choice should perform the filler dissolver. It’s a fair point to refuse service to a patient, but please make that clear when a patient calls asking about a specific service/procedure that you previously performed on the patient. I also had not signed any quotes or contracts indicating I was proceeding with surgery, so I’m not sure why it should be assumed I was planning on surgery specifically with this practice.
After a rhinoplasty procedure, the thickness is a result of the swelling of the skin overlying the bone. The bone itself does not swell. It usually takes 6 months for the swelling to recede to visualize the final result.
Skin thickness will have an effect on the long term outcome of rhinoplasty. Thicker skin will have a tendency to retain swelling longer and camouflage the final results of nasal surgery. Most paients with thick skin will require a greater amount of cartilagenous support and a structure rhinoplasty approach.
There is no way to remove Botox from any area once it has been injected. Depending on the dose used, it usually takes 2 - 3 months for the effects of Botox to naturally subside.
There is a significant amount of swelling 6 weeks after rhinopoplasty. The callus formation or lump under the skin may also be swelling due to the surgery. I would not reccomend massaging the nose at this time since it can possibly inhibit healing. If the callus formation or lump is still present after 6 months, then it can be better evaluated at that time.
The hard peritip nasal swelling is usually what patients feel postoperatively. The hard feel to the nasal tip and peritip area of the nose is the actual swelling. If a graft was used, it would also contribute to the hard feeling. Peritip swelling also is variable depending upon the technique. Swelling will usually be more prolonged with thick skin and is usually greater and more prolonged after open rather than closed rhinoplasty. However, one should wait at least 4 to 6 months before evaluating the surgical outcome.
