The results far exceeded my expectations

I couldn't be happier with the results of my surgery, performed by Dr. Dulin and his awesome nursing staff! I had been researching and having consultations with different PS in the area and in Dallas. Dr. Dulin was the last consultation I had before I was to make a decision on who I wanted to perform my surgery. I had A LOT of loose skin in the lower abdomen, but I didn't want a complete tummy...

My results far exceeded my expectations! I just wanted to be able to button my pants again but I look and feel great! In addition to the wonderful surgical results, I had a great experience with the staff as well. They are warm, friendly and do an outstanding job of preparing you on what to expect and how to manage your recovery. I am very grateful I found Dr. Dulin and highly recommend him!

I felt affirmed and accommodated at every step of the process

I am so grateful to have had Dr. Peter Raphael as my surgeon. He demonstrated so much care and thoughtfulness when discussing what I wanted, asking questions about aspects of what I wanted that it never would have occurred to me to say anything about. Every interaction we had showed how much he wanted to make sure that this surgery would leave me with the body I wanted, the real me. It was...

65 Q&A

Q: Am I a good candidate for a mini tummy tuck? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. AntonettiMarch 20, 2024

A: There is no less work doing a so called mini as opposed to a full abdominoplasty other that you would be tighter with a full. You have a lot of skin-tissue in the lower abdomen as well as some fat in the abdomen and flanks. Your best result would be with a full abdominoplasty with quite a bit of liposuction of the abdomen and flanks. This is an outpatient procedure that should take about 2 hours and there should not be any need for drains.

Q: Skin only tummy tuck with local anesthesia? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. AntonettiMarch 20, 2024

A: You have a significant amount of loose skin with little fat. It should not be hard to find a surgeon that would do only skin abdominoplasty but with a little liposuction your result would be better. You do not heed to have the muscles tightened but by doing it only takes a few minutes and your result would be better. I would not do this under local anesthesia because the general anesthetic would be safer, you would be more comfortable and I could do a much better job under general. 'the procedure would take about one 1 hr. 45 min., you would be going home one hour postop to be seen in the office next morning and there will be no drains.

Q: How will my new belly button look after tummy tuck if I am keloid prone?
Answered by Dr. AntonettiMarch 20, 2024

A: You may form a keloid no matter what. There are ways to treat keloids. The use of Kenalog injections and taping of the scars usually works fairly good. In extreme cases revision of the scar followed by radiation therapy but this is usually not needed. Most of the times keloids are not a problem with abdominoplasty

Q: Lipo for Breast Reduction? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. AntonettiMarch 20, 2024

A: Liposuction alone for breast reduction is not going to work good. Just imagine removing the stuffing from a pillow and what it is going to look like. You would need a classic breast reduction done under general anesthesia. to look the best. If given properly by the right person and at the right place, general anesthesia is extremely safe.

Q: I'm looking to go as large as I can, can I get implants without a lift? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. AntonettiMarch 20, 2024

A: You have a significant amount of sagging and asymmetry in a medium sized breast. A mastopexy alone will give you a nice shape and more symmetry. A very large implant alone will not lift you and quite honestly you would not look good at all. I would not just put implants in you and I think most plastic surgeons would not do so also. A mastopexy-augmentation would be the procedure of choice but you have to know that the larger the implant, the more likely you are of having complications.
