I went to the doctor today for my 2 week visit. I had some oozing and burning pain under my left arm. I guess I bent my arm the wrong way or something because a stitch opened up and I have a small infection. So that sucks but the rest of me is fine. Pain is minimal now. Bruising is pretty much gone. The scar down my arm is really small and thin. I thought it would be a lot worse but it's not that bad and it's only going to get better as it heals more. So hopefully that small infected area will heal fast and I'll be able to get the rest of my stitches out. The doctor said I won't be able to work out for about 4-6 weeks. Can't wait to heal and get back on track with my diet and working out again.

Ah sweetie sorry to hear about the infection. It will up. I haf my tummy tuck in 07 and did my extended armlift and breast lift and augmentation dec 2. Swelling with tt and arms for that matter perfectly natural. My arms are still sore...like a sunburn. Im still super careful not to left them too high or extend too far or make any sudden moves!! So far so good. Tje scar is looking straight and thin loke yours and im loving my new slim arms. Wont get into my gigantic boobs...very swollen and huge. Did not want them this big. Hoping they go down with time!! Message me anytime. Id love to hear how your doing. Seeing as we did our arms around same time. Kinda nice to check out for xmas this year!! Hope your infection goes away fast.

Thanks for the comment. I hope you are feeling well. Sounds painful! Swelling is hard to deal with, but I'm sure in time it will be worth it. I guess we just need to take it slow.

Hard to move around today. Had to sleep on my back again which I really hate. I'm so sore. My arms really don't hurt as much as my belly, but they do burn and feel swollen. My belly burns pretty bad. I have some huge hips and major bruising right...so swollen. I hope that is normal. I have not removed the abdominal binder or arm sleeves yet. I hope the swelling goes down and I get better soon because this is kind of miserable. I'll post pics once the bruises fade a little. Right now it is pretty bad.

Congratulations & thanks for sharing. I too had a Brachioplasty last December. Be patient with your self and when your feeling uncomfortable keep in mind how great you'll look & feel come this spring.

a good 6 weeks. 10 before I could start lifting light weights again. I massage bio oil on the scars once a day which has really helped the redness.

Day 1 post op

Liposuction on my abdomen/flanks hurts more than the brachioplasty. The abdomen pain is just a burning sensation. The arms I only have pain in the armpit. That pain is also a burning feeling, but it is bearable. I thought I would be in a lot more pain than I am.
I just had my day 1 follow up and I can see that I am very swollen, but I see how much smaller my arms and belly look already. No regrets as of yet. I'm very happy I chose Dr. Tushar Patel. He is very kind and informative.

If Dr. Patel agrees, please try Omega-3 (as long as you have no contra-indications). Omega-3 fatty acid supplementation improves surgical recovery. It helps reduce inflammation which promotes healing... Make sure it's pure Omega-3 from Natural sources due to absorption. No more than 2-3 grams per day. Within 72 hours, you'll notice a difference. GOOD LUCK!
